I like to read English story books in my free time.  Sometimes I surf the Internet and download the E- books to read.  Reading E- books is fun.  In addition, it also enlarges my vocabulary words because of the advanced technology and the vivid animations.

I hope to study both English and computer technology because I am interested in both of the subjects.  Maybe one day I could combine both of them and apply to my research in the future.

亲爱的妈妈：

时光流逝，一转眼，十三年过去了，连我自己也无法相信自己长这么大了！看到你那饱经风霜的面容，我知道这是真的！是你沥尽心血为我铺筑的路使我从一个牙牙学语、蹒跚学步的小孩子长成了一个口齿伶俐、健步如飞的英俊少年了。

随着年龄的增长，您的要求越来越严厉，有时让我难以接受，再加上我性格倔强，因此不免在我们之间会绽放出碰撞的火花，这使我们的母子关系不免有些紧张，这也令我想起了以前您经常逼迫我在您做饭时站在旁边学习。那时我讨厌那个地方，滚烫的油从锅中飞溅出来，像加速的子弹向我飞奔过来。溅上了我娇小的身体，烘烤着我稚嫩的皮肤，。我不明白您到底有何用意，而且每当我向您询问时，您总是说“会有用的”！因此我不免有些纳闷，甚至对您的这种做法感到厌烦。所以每次站在您旁边时总事魂不守舍，所以您说的、做的每一件事我都左耳朵进，右耳朵出。不曾学会什么……

也许是上天有意惩罚我的不认真。前不久爸爸病了，您要去医院照顾他，要我独自呆在家里两晚上。在送走你后，我仿佛被束缚千年后重获自由一般，就像中华民族被割据和压迫多年后重获自由一样。我感到了前所未有的开心与轻松，但后来的事实证明——我真的错了。

第一天，我还感到十分开心首先是因为耳根清静了许多，但到了中午，我的厄运渐渐来临了。我以前都是回家就有香喷喷的饭菜，但妈妈走了以后因为没人给我做饭又因为我不会做饭，于是我开始找钱后来找到了20元钱吃了一顿午饭。我随手把零钱装进了裤兜。晚上回家的路上凉风习习让我不禁打了个冷战。到家后我放下书包刚要出去吃饭习惯性的摸了一下裤兜——钱不见了。于是我度过了一个寒冷而又饥饿的夜晚。这时我才感到了妈妈为什么要我学习做饭了。可为时已晚。不！还不晚，这只是个教训，我要吸取教训，勇往直前。

第二天，又是一个中午，我回到家。当我闻到那熟悉的饭菜香味时，我激动得快哭了——我终于不用再挨饿了。我这时才感觉到您的重要性。也许爱只在遭受失去后才能体会到。可怜天下父母心，在以后的日子里，我会安心学习，用优异的成绩来回报你。
