Dear Tom,

Im just writing to let you know that were all well, and I hope you are, too. Unfortunately, Ive got some rather bad news for you: Im afraid I made a bit of a mess of Johns car. Anyway, heres what happened.

We were on our way to Carols after a long party, and I suppose it must have been about eleven o’clock. Well, the last few miles back home were really dark and deserted. I now realize I was probably going a bit too fast for a country lane because, although the road was fairly straight, I drove up onto the curb and went into a tree.

Of course, John was absolutely furious and started shouting at me and cursing. After we d argued for a few moments, we decided to look at the damage, and he calmed down a bit. Well, we found we could move the car, but the wing was caught on the wheel, so we couldnt drive it. I tried to pull the wing clear, but I didnt succeed.

Anyway, John went off to phone for a breakdown lorry, but while he was away, I had another go at the wing and this time succeeded in pulling it right off. I threw it onto the back seat, and by that time John got back and we were ready to go?so we didnt need the breakdown lorry at all. John has more or less forgiven me now, but he was very angry with me for a few days. I suppose I was a bit careless.

Well, thats all for now. Next time I write I hope Ill have better news for you.

I like to watch movies, especially when I see the inspiring stories, I will

feel touched. These stories are good for me. They inspire me to move on when I

meet difficulties. The heroes will never give up, and finally, they succeed. So

if we want to realize our dreams, we also need to be persistent. Some day, we

can make it.

In the Northern Street of Paris, there sat an old man with white hair and a

stick. He was blind, and nobody wanted to help him. One day a noble man came to

this street and saw the old man with blind eyes, he asked, “Excuse me, don’t you

them!” and then the noble looked at the bowl with money and stroked his beard

while he smiled.

“The spring has come, but I can’t see anything!” these words could be so

much use, it might produce that the noble man in this story has technology,

which made the poor blind man happy.

Although this noble man which we are talking about helped the old man, but

he also remembered what the other people did. People asked him many other

questions, and the noble man of course answered them all. Some of the people in

town that didn’t want to help the blinded old man were locked up in jail for

their cruelty instead of kindness.

The moral of this story is, when you see somebody that is in need, go and

help them and you will feel better in the end.

Every parent wants their daughters to learn ballet and piano. My mother

finds me having no talent in ballet, so she chooses to send me to learn piano.

At first, I am not very interested in it, but soon I find practising it every

day makes me feel bored. I want to give up, but the girls around me keep coming

to the class, so I decide to hold on.

I am a happy girl, because I don’t have much things to chase, I will be

satisfied very easily. When I go to school and play with my friends, I will be

very happy. When I go home after school, my mother cook the delicious food, I

will be very satisfied to eat. When the weekend comes, I like to go out with my

father. This is my world, so simple and so happy.

I like reading books so much, especially the comic book. When I start

reading, I can’t focus my attention for a long time if the books are words

everywhere, then I find comic book is perfect for me. I can not only read very

quickly, but also won’t feel bored. It is a good way for me to gain

knowledge.

I like reading, reading can bring me happiness, and let me learn a lot of

interesting knowledge. I like to read story books best, such as journey to the

As a small child, I get used to think there is only yellow skin people in

the world, but I realize there are also white skin and black skin people in

another side of the world later. Once I saw a black person. At first, I felt

scared, but he was very nice and helped me solve my problem. Then I know we

cant deny a person by his skin color.

Today, my teacher gives us a task. She asks us to observe our mothers’

hands and then write something about how do we feel about it. When I get home, I

walk to my mother and then ask her to sit down. I watch her hands and then watch

mine. The difference is such obvious. My mother’s hands are so rough that she

does so much for the family. She is a great mother

since last summer, i have written to my pen pal, seda, who lives in turkey.

i became acquainted with her when i went to england for a study tour.

we stayed with the same family, and she was my roommate and classmate as

well. sometimes we went to the movies together after dinner. seda is very easy

to get along with. i will always remember the two weeks i spent with her. we

didnt forget each other and kept writing to each other after we returned home.

although i havent seen her again since i left england, i still know how she is

through letters, cards and photographs. seda tells me her secrets and also

shares her happiness and sadness with me . both of us hope that we will meet

each other somewhere one day.

maybe ill go to turkey to visit her, or shell come to taiwan to visit

me.

Since I go to school, there is naturally that I need to take the exams. At

this morning i got up early. after breakfast, i helped mom with housework.
