我很久以前就有机会看《傲慢与偏见》，但说句心里话，当时我并不认为这本书有多好，甚至只看了个开头就放到了一边，心想：语言如此贫乏，故事又无激动人心之处，怎么会成为世界名著呢?

这次我是在偶然间弄到这本书，由于书的主人极力推荐，我满腹狐疑，才决定看完之后再对此书下一个自己的定论。这种想法推动下，我花了一些睡觉时间将它看完，于是对它的看法大为改观(当然，假如一点好感都没有，那我也就没那种耐心用睡觉时间来看它了)。

不过，我这里所谓的改观，并非指完完全全、彻彻底底地改变了原先的看法。我所谓的改观，是指现在才发现它并非毫无优点。

先说说我发现的优点吧。从风格上看，它有与众不同之处，这是毫无疑问的，大多数书都是从男性的角度看世界，即使是《简·爱》和《呼啸山庄》，也基本上从男性的角度来写，而《傲慢与偏见》则明显地充满了女性思想色彩，包括世界观及生活方式。这一点在写作内容上得到最好体现：假如是男作家，写出的作品大多具有惊险色彩(只是强弱一些的问题)，而本书中，最激动人心的一段也不过是威克姆与伊丽莎白之妹私奔(而且结局并不悲惨)，作者能想到的最恶劣的行径，也只是一些人与人之间的简单欺骗;贯穿全文的一件事就是母亲如何嫁女儿。这一系列的事实，都表现了这本书的女性化，而这类书在那个时代当然极少，所以我认为这是本书极大的成功之处。

一部好的小说应当可以反映一个时代的风貌，就这一点而言，此书也表现得相当成功。读了这本书，头脑中不难形成当时欧洲女性社会的状况——所有女子都以嫁出去作为一种荣誉，而不管嫁给谁，婚娶成了妇女唯一的人生目标，真正的感情既少见，又难以被理解，作者深刻揭露与批判的正是这些。

谈到缺点，我想与其他书作比较：就运用语言的能力而言，它不及《基督山伯爵》;就故事的曲折丰富性而言，它不及《乱世佳人》;就表现社会现实的高度而言，它不及《钢铁是怎样炼成的》;就人物心理描写而言，它不及《呼啸山庄》。虽然这些缺陷很大程度上是由它要描写的社会现实决定的，但一本名著出现这么多的漏洞，毕竟是太过分了。

读完这本书，我极想将它与《乱世佳人》进行完全深入的对比。这两本书在故事内容，情节发展上太相似了，就连人物选取也如出一辙：达西对应瑞德，伊丽莎白对应斯佳丽，宾利对应维希礼，简对应媚兰。前两者间关系都由感情封冻到暖化，再到热烈;后两者的感情则始终如一。唯一不同之处是，前者以和平为背景，后者以战争为背景。所以我将《傲慢与偏见》称为和平版《乱世佳人》，试想，让宾利处在乱世，他必然会与维希礼一样落魄。相反，维希礼在开始时也是十分体面的绅士。

但在感情的激烈斗争与转化上，《傲慢与偏见》完全无法与《乱世佳人》对比，《乱世佳人》以战争为背景，那么感情冲突自然容易表现，尤其是战争的宏大场面(例如亚特兰大溃退，北军围城)，这一幕幕都是如此激动人心，以至于读者难以释卷。这些对《傲慢与偏见》来说是无法达到的艺术效果。对整场战争及战后的社会问题，《乱世佳人》也都表现得很成功，于是这本书的境界也就由儿女私情升华为对国家、对社会的深刻思索，这些也是《傲慢与偏见》的匮乏的东西。

从整本书的艺术性来看，《傲慢与偏见》的确不及《乱世佳人》。但这在深刻思索后的确不难发现，也不难理解。奥斯丁作为女作家，并无太多人赞同(当时社会意识就认为女子无法写小说)，这当然造成了女作家在许多写作才能上不及男作家(例如世界观及知识的丰富性)。尽管我可以原谅这些不足，但相对于同样的女作家夏洛蒂与艾米莉，奥斯丁也显然有这些方面不足。所以至今我还坚信，《傲慢与偏见》的确有许多过人之处，但毛姆将它列为世界十大著名小说之一就未免言过其实了。

A smart virgin begins her night with the infamous king by telling him stories, and she so fascinates him and enthralls him with her tales that the tales turn into folklore for readers of the ages. I wont tell you what happens in the end to the virgin princess, but you will find humor, enchantment, wisdom and fantasy for those times when stress becomes a factor in your life.

I highly recommend the tale of "The Historic Fart" as a both funny and inspiring tale of human nature. Please buy this book and remember to become a nine -12 year old again as you read with curiosity and wonder at the fabulous enchanting, lively stories. I was beginning to wish my children were a bit younger so I could read these to them. Any child would enjoy these stories, and any adult will find them simply relaxing and a reflection of medieval Islam.

For You, a Thousand Times over

I am convinced that few books are as good as this one. To be honest, I hadn’t maintained that this book would appeal me before I read it. However, I was absorbed in the book from the first chapter to the last one. Why this book has appealed to me that much? I asked myself. This book is not my type of reading for only romantic books could draw my attention successfully. Then I came into a conclusion that it is the friendship and familyship fascinated me.

To the world you are one person, but to the person who loves you, you are the world. Amir was Hassan’s world. Amir’s name had been the first word Hassan spoke. Hassan threatened brutal Assef for the sake of Amir. Hassan never failed to run the kite to please Amir. Hassan sacrificed himself for Amir’s house. These are more than a friend would do. Only those who loves you so much could challenge himself to do what Hassan did to Amir.To Hassan, Amir was not only a mere friend but a brother. He loved Amir more than anything else. Even after Amir betrayed him, he still told his son proudly“Agan Amir is my best friend”.Maybe for Hassan “for you, a thousand times over” has another meaning, which is not just kite running for Amir but he will do anything for Amir.

If Hassan could be described as an angel, then Amir was just a person. I did hate Amir for he watched Hassan be raped and did nothing, for he made Hassan leave his born-place, for he aimed Hassan with fruit(even though he actually tried to make himself get punished). Amir didn’t deserve what Hassan did to him. I thought his meanness caused Hassan’s tragedy. But after I finished the book, I realized it is not Hassan’s tragedy, it is Amir’s. For what he had done to Hassan, he had led a live with regret and suffered endless sleepless nights. His going back to Afghanistan is not only a journey physically but a journey to atonement. Hassan’s son, his nephew saved, Amir’s sin was finally washed. Like the life of circle, Amir ran kite for his miserable nephew.As Hassan did to him, he said “for you , a thousand times over” to Sohrab.Though the book doesn’t give us an accurate ending whether Sohrab came into life again. I am sure love can cure everything. Only when Sohrab lives a happy life as Hassan hoped can Amir’s sin washed up.

The friendship between Hassan and Amir moved me. I believe All the people who read it is going to be touched just as I am. This book does make me think the good and the bad ,what’s wrong and what’s right, the cruelty of war . Few books can exert an influence on people nowadays, this book sure does.

当然，我相信绝大多数剩女是最终不会选择嫁不出去甚至终身嫁不出去的！那么在大多数剩女认识到婚恋在她人生中的价值的一天，客观的经济效益也是能够预期的。这样经过产生巨大的社会效益的同时不仅仅能够挽救我，也许还能够挽救我的事业。

在《傲慢与偏见》文中，我没有想到自我也受到很好的教育，原先我自我的傲慢也是沟通的主要障碍之一。虽然我也是时常告诫自我尽量避免无谓的错误，消除不该有的误解和损失，可是毕竟江山易改本性难移呀！最要命的是我自我有足够的理由并且确信我的观点的时候就是很难做到给人不“傲慢”的印象。我只好更努力学会倾听的艺术消减不良后果了。

看了这本书后我想了很多，不仅是当时人们对婚姻的评判标准，还有他们对爱情的理解。在当时的社会，婚姻结缔的幸福条件就是男方有丰厚的家产，女方有不错的嫁妆，这样的婚姻就会被众人羡慕。可是这样的结合真的会给人们带来精神上的满足吗?诚然，这样的婚姻类似于一种资产合并，以钱作为婚姻的基础，在我看来是不明智而且可笑的。“什么是爱情”，这个问题似乎当时的大部分人都不能真正理解其实对于这样的社会状况，或许会有那么一些人在心里默默地反抗。所以我佩服伊丽莎白敢恨敢爱的性格，她能正视自己内心的想法而不被物质生活冲昏头脑，我想这样的人真的很可贵，在我看来，她便是那个时代的勇士。

最令我感动的情节是书中伊丽莎白在搞清楚之前对达西的误会后她所表现出来的坚持。看过这本书的人都了解，伊丽莎白消除对达西的偏见后，他们对彼此产生了日益增长的感情，而伊丽莎白对这份感情的坚持和风雨无阻的与之同行，是令人感动的。

不容易啊，经过将近两个星期的奋斗，我终于把简。奥斯丁的代表作《傲慢与偏见》给搞定了。书中讲述的是一对年轻人的爱情故事。因一方的傲慢与另一方的偏见而导致好事多磨。故事发生在一个闭塞的乡村小镇班纳特先生有五个女儿，而班纳特太太生活中的头等大事就是为她的五个女儿找到合适的丈夫，为此，她整天东跑西窜，忙个不停，但是他们住的地方太偏僻，一时找不到合适的人选。就在这个时候，两个单身，富有而且英俊的绅士来到这里度假。这两个人的到来，不亚于在平静的水面上投了一块巨石。到底班纳特太太能不能如愿以偿，顺顺利利地把自己的五个女儿嫁出去呢?作者用幽默讽刺的语言，向我们讲述了一桩曲折的因缘。结局大大出乎班纳特太太和邻居，亲戚们的意料，带有一股轻喜剧的味道。

Bingley’s friend Darcy also came to the ball and struck the sights, many girls liked him while he thought all of them couldn’t suit his preference, including Elizabeth. Mr. Darcy always shows others a impression of pride, having found this Elizabeth began to hate Mr. Darcy.

Before long Darcy fell in love with Elizabeth Bennett because of her lovely behavior, while Elizabeth is disgusted by his pride and has a prejudice about him. The official Wickham was welcomed by the villagers, and Elizabeth also took a shine to him. Wickham told someting about darcy,which increased Eli’s prejudice about Mr. Darcy. At

another ball Mr. Darcy invited Elizabeth to dance with him, but Eli refused him. There she met Mr. Darcy who’s Lady Catherine’s nephew.Then Mr. Darcy came to the Collins’ and confessed his love for Elizabeth, of course he was rejected impolitely.

Afterwards Mr. Darcy wrote a letter to Eli in order to remove her misunderstandings of him. Elizabeth’s uncle and aunt were also impressed by Mr. Darcy’s politeness. Gradually Eli’s prejudice of Mr. Darcy disappeared. Eventually they became couple.

In my opinion ,on the one hand,I think Elizabeth has personality ethic which caused her independent idea about love and marriage and in consequence she earned a happy

life. There’re also Eli’s sisters’ love stories served as contrasts to the female subject’s ideal marriage, such as Charlotte and Collin’s life: they do had a luxury life, but there’s no real love between them and this kind of marriage is surely a tragedy of society.On the other hand,Darcy is brave ,he did do his best to pursuit his love.

As a matter of fact,everyone has shortcomings ,after reading the story ,I did realize that we should find our advantages and disadvantages by ourselves.Moreover,it’s necessary for us to try our best to get over shortcomings.I am aware that we ought to get along with others with the same attitude.The right that seeking for happiness is equal for everyone.therefore,we should value the things that we have,and cherish the chances.

Its all here, as is an ironic comfort in watching such a well-worn tale from the dark side.

Dr. Steven Cale (Eric Stoltz) is heading down the Amazon in search of an undocumented Indian tribe. Joining him is Terri Flores ("Selenas" Jennifer Lopez), a filmmaker charged with recording Dr. Cales quest. Ten minutes into their voyage, snaky Paul Sarone (Jon Voight) jumps aboard and commandeers the boat to begin a Captain Ahab-style hunt for his gigantic underwater nemesis: the titular anaconda upon whose nonexistent shoulders this movie rests. Despite satisfactory performances from the cast, the films human characters remain secondary to this nasty snake and the special effects that created it.

Scary, this movie isnt. The faux serpent, albeit an impressive creature, looks wholly unrealistic as it zips through water and air like a Saturday morning cartoon character. And such schlocky touches as the anacondas penchant for regurgitation are more gross (and funny) than frightening. What chills there are spring more from standard stalk-and-startle techniques than from the creepy characteristics associated with snakes. Director Luis Llosa ("The Specialist") shot "Anaconda" in Brazil, and the tropical setting imbues his movie with much-needed authenticity and cinematic richness. Llosa advances the story at an absorbing clip that never bores the audience, and he wisely eschews any high-minded discourse about good and evil. As cheesy, predictable horror flicks go, "Anaconda" squeezes considerable life from its limited aspirations.
