The Great Wall of China is called the "Ten thousand Ii Great Wall" in

Chinese. In fact, it s more than 6 000 kilometres long. It winds its way from

west to east, across deserts, over mountains, through valleys till at last it

reaches the sea.It is one of the wonders of the world.The Great Wall has a history of over twenty centuries. The first part of it

was built during the Spring and Autumn Period.

During the Warring States Period, more walls were put up to defend the

Today the Great Wall has become a place of interest not only to the Chinese

but to people from all over the world. Many of them have come to know the famous

Chinese saying: "He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true man."

We need to improve our English skills in each of four areas.

The first one is listening skills . I think doing lots of listening practice is a great way to improve listening skills. Maybe you could buy some English tapes or borrow your teacher’s tapes to listen .

The second on is speaking skills. How can we practice our spoken English ? I think the first and the most important thing is to believe yourself . Your should often encourage yourself , then you can join an English –language club and make lots of conversations with you partner . I think it can help a lot.

[关于初三英语作文：Our Dreams Of Life

Now, the students learning pressure is great, and after class life is a good medicine to relieve the pressure of learning. I have a very interesting extracurricular life.

The biggest pleasure in my spare time is to collect rubber. Those strange and eccentric, imitate characters, animal images and daily necessities like rubber to collect a small jar, every time I look up will be an endless enjoyment. Those lively and lovely animals, such as rubber, lifelike daily necessities, erasers, and some funny and funny rubber, can relieve the pressure and annoyance of my learning and life. Whenever I collect the eraser, their lovely and genuine smile intoxicated me, as if I felt that I was one of them. I could play with them freely.

Im the only child at home. My mom and dad are busy, and I dont have time to play with me, so my best partner is the rubber. There are no secrets and lies between us. We take care and comfort each other. We are the best friends.

初一第一学期刚开学，教室前门就进来一位中等个子，披散着一头又直又长头发的女教师。上下一打量，25岁左右，个子1米55左右。她一进门就用英文介绍了一下自己！我立刻就意识到她就是我们的英语老师！她在介绍过程中说了这么一句我很荣幸能和你们成为师生，不过我对你们在学习英语这一方面提一个要求：我希望你们能认真听好每一节英语课，做好该做的笔记，能做到课前预习课后复习。这句话着实把我们全班都镇住了。第一印象：严格！还没正式上课就已经如此严格要求我们听课，那以后上课不就谁也不敢往下想

不久后发现，她不仅是我们班的英语老师，她也是隔壁七班的班主任！我有点害怕了，不知做班主任的她会不会更凶、更严格？

可是时间久了却发现，实际上并不是我们以为的那样。我们都觉得她是那么的亲切、容易交流

她上课时，会弄得全班同学都哈哈大笑，因为她会时不时用上几句现代用语。虽然这些都是我们经常说，但是从一个英语老师嘴里说出来，难免会有些别扭。我们之间的距离感一下子就消失了，反而，亲切感一下子就增进了！比如她反复强调的某些东西时，都强调了至少10遍了就会成了她的口头禅！这还没什么，到后来演变成100遍、N遍；最后递进到N+1遍。她在我心目中的我的第一好印象——亲切、滑稽、是个好老师，便彻底被抹杀掉了。

平时课堂上，她经常让我们听写、考试、玩游戏等等不像班主任那样，一进来准没好事——不停在传授一些人生大道理给我们。语文老师抱着书不是听写，就是背书。她每次都会说一些连班主任都不太懂的人生哲理的、感人的文章给我们听，有时还会说笑话，即使是不好笑，她自己也会乐成一团。

有一天下午的英语课，打了上课铃之后班里仍是像炸了锅一样热闹：吵架的、打架的、嬉笑的、K歌的，应有尽有，无所不有。我正奇怪英语老师为什么还没来？突然间发觉班上顿时鸦雀无声，我好奇的望望门口，发现英语老师就站立在教室门口。一同来的，还有班主任。班主任宣布了放学后全班站到6点，再吵就站到7点的圣旨后生气地朝办公室走去。我们在下面后悔已经来不及了，因为我们班主任从来都是说话算数的。同时也深感不服，我根本没吵到，凭什么要我陪他们留到6点，我越想越不服气，最后还是决定暂时不追究她，先认真上课再说。

我刚回过神来，忽然发现英语老师已经站在我的身边。我立刻打起十二分精神！过了一会儿，她说：其实今天的事我也有责任。我来晚了。可是大家真的很乱，我一路走过来，别的班都很安静地上课、自习，最吵最乱就是你们班了那好吧，我也要为这件事负点责任，我也陪你们站，大家谁都别坐了，好吗？她严肃的表情上找不到任何的虚伪迹象，我们都为之感动，就差流泪了。结果那个晚上，她真的一边管七班的纪律一边陪我们罚站，不停地在我们班和七班两个班之间走来走去，因为我们班和七班的教室刚好捏在一起！那天晚上她一直都没坐下过。我们看见她如此辛苦的陪着我们，谁也没好意思偷懒，就凭她的那番话和行为，我愿意站十个晚上来奉还。

教过我的英语老师甚至是所有老师中，她的确是教得最好且最能拉近与学生之间距离的一个。翻开我们的英语作业本，你会发现，每个人的本上每天都会有一个大大的评分：A+！

你们都是我的学生，你们在我心目中都没有优差之分，我对待我的每一个学生都是一视同仁的。只要你肯学，我都会卖力地教育你们！——这就是她的教学方式。

老师，你不仅是我见过最好的英语老师，也是我们的良师益友。我相信，在我初中三年内，有您与我同行，我的英语成绩一定会更上一层楼！

With the deepening of reform and opening-up of our country, many people dream of going abroad for further study. They insist that the modern research facilities, world famous professors and excellent environment in those foreign colleges can help lay a perfect foundation for their future development.

However, there are still many people who favor studying at home. They argue that studying abroad is too expensive and doesnt pay. They also point out that there are no language and cultural barriers if they study at home.

Both opinions are acceptable in some sense. If students have the chance and financial resources, they should seize the opportunity to study abroad and broaden their eyes. On the other hand, if conditions dont permit, they can pursue their studies in top universities at home. What counts is not the place where you study, but the desire to learn.

随着我国改革开放的加深，很多人梦想着出国深造。他们认为国外大学的先进研究设备，闻名世界的教授以及优越的环境能够帮助他们为未来的发展打下完美的基础。

然而，仍然有很多人赞成在国内学习。他们认为出国留学太贵了，付不起费用。他们还指出如果他们在国内学习就不会存在语言和文化障碍。

从某种意义上说着两种观点都可以接受。如果学生拥有机会和经济来源，他们应该抓住机会出国留学，开阔他们的视野。另一方面，如果条件不允许，他们可以在国内顶级大学追求学业。重要的不是你在哪个地方学习而是你学习的渴望。
