以前，地球美丽而富饶，它不断地为人类提供各种资源。赛特凯达斯大瀑布，原先那么有气势，汹涌地河水紧贴悬崖咆哮而下，滔滔不绝，一泻千里。它是巴西和巴拉圭两国人民的骄傲。而现在呢？它形容枯槁，奄奄一息，就像生命垂危的老人。不久，它就会完全消失。

读了这个例子，我深深地被震撼了。人们为了自己的利益，不顾一切地乱砍滥伐，使地球上的水土大量流失。沙漠以前就是一片片绿洲，那么它们为何会变成沙漠呢？因为人类不断地砍伐树木，森林资源不断地在减少，使美丽富饶的土地变成一片片的沙漠。人类所需要的许多资源本来是可以不断再生，长期给人类做贡献的，但无情的人类破坏了它们，造成了一系列的生态灾难。人类，真是一个不孝的子孙！

终于，事实唤起了人们保护地球的责任心。人类开始少用造成白色污染的塑料袋，开始使用环保袋。人们开始努力保护生态环境，爱护我们赖以生存的地球，开始用行动保护我们美丽的地球母亲，尽量种植许多花草树木，让土地从贫瘠变为富饶，生态环境得到了改善，土地不会再变为沙漠了。

地球是我们的母亲，我们要善待地球，保护地球，为子孙后代创造一个更好的空间，使人类在地球上更好的生存下去。

“灯光给我们带来光明，灯光驱散周围的黑暗。”那么大家有没有想过灯是靠什么发光的呢?没错，就是靠电。那么电又是用什么能源呢?有风力发电、水力发电、太阳能发电、煤发电用风力、水力、太阳能发电这些都是比较环保的发电，而用煤发电则会耗费煤资源，但我们现在通常用的是煤发电。为了保护地球资源，每年三月的最后一个星期六都会举行熄灯一小时的活动。

今天我参加了八点半到九点半的“地球一小时”的活动，让我充分地体会到假如世界上没有了电，是多么地可怕。

一到八点三十分，我们家就熄掉了所有的灯，因为我们要响应环保，响应我们顺德已支持了四年的活动，响应世界上有150个国家支持的活动。

我们出了门，来到顺峰山公园。顺峰山公园的两座塔和牌坊处都熄掉了灯，道路两旁许多大型建筑物也熄掉了灯，只剩下路灯和活动屏幕的背灯。这时，我感到月亮特别地明亮，星星特别地美丽。地上还用燃烧的蜡烛摆出了“60”这个数字，表示一小时等于60分钟。

回到家，我本来习惯了一开门就开灯的，但今天不行。关上门，屋子里一片黑漆漆的，我们立刻找出蜡烛点上，屋子里立刻亮了起来。虽然蜡烛照亮了屋子，但还是没有灯光那么亮。

时钟到了九点三十分，我开心地叫了起来：“太好了，终于可以不用再点蜡烛了，开灯!”“啪”地一声，我打开了电灯。

这次参加“地球一小时”活动让我明白了电灯的重要性。假如失去电灯，我们可能就会在黑暗中迷失自我，可能会在黑暗中麻木、盲目。所以让我们从现在开始保护好煤资源，不浪费每一度电，从身边的小事开始做起，出入关灯，多用环保节能灯，手机充好电及时拔掉插头

giant panda for many years. As a result, he found that it was human being that

made these lovely animals die out. At that time, many people believed that giant
