I went to several places of interest such as the Great Wall and Tiananmen square.I was amazed by Chinas historical background and the industrious Chinese people who built the Great Wall. China has left me a wonderful impression and I look forward to come back here for the Olympics.

“五岳归来不看山，黄山归来不看岳”。至今，我还赞叹着黄山的美景。去年，我和爸爸妈妈去黄山旅游，那里山清水秀，>景色秀丽，真让人流连忘返。

黄山的四大景观是奇松、怪石、云海、温泉。可我最喜欢的还是奇松、怪石。

黄山的松树千姿百态，无奇不有，它们都扎根在悬崖峭壁之上。但最著名的还是迎客松。迎客松的枝叶都朝一个方向伸展，风一吹，一根根枝干摇摇晃晃，好像千万只小手挥舞着，仿佛在欢迎我们的带来。

最著名的怪石要算飞来石，为什么叫飞来石呢？因为飞来石竖立在悬崖边，重200吨，可与地面接触的地方只有一点点，无论风怎么吹，雨怎么下，它都纹丝不动，好像是从天上飞下来的一样。

黄山的一草一木都很奇特，她那秀丽的风景犹如一幅幅美丽的图画深深地刻在我的脑海里，直到今天我还想着黄山呢！

来到北京，发现有许许多多名胜古迹。首先，我们来到了故宫博物院。

故宫可真大啊！我走了半天，脚已经累得痛了。妈妈说在这里休息一会，于是我买了一份有关故宫博物院的书籍。我了解到许多知识，书上说：紫禁城现名故宫博物院，这座“宫殿之海”，占地72万平方米，建筑面积15万平方米，有各式宫殿890座，房屋9000多间故宫原来这么大啊！真让我大开眼界。在故宫里，既有雄伟的大殿和开阔的广场，又有华丽的后宫，和深邃的幽径，及机密的议政处所，还有帝王后妃休息娱乐的御花园。真是不简单！这些房屋的装潢大都华丽、古朴，深感皇家的气派。御花园内，苍松翠柏，奇花异石，楼阁亭台，曲池水榭，如天然画卷，使人流连其中。

休息过后，我们又继续游览故宫。

前天我从厦门回来了，我觉得厦门很好玩。去厦门的第一天是晚上到的厦门，我们到外面饭店吃了海鲜，然后就回宾馆睡觉了。第二天早上起床我们就去了鼓浪屿，在鼓浪屿妈妈给我买了一个鼓浪屿盖章纪念本，就是走到鼓浪屿的哪个店就用哪个店的章子盖章，我们去了好多店，盖了好多章子。爸爸还给我买了一副卡通动画扑克牌。我非常喜欢爸爸给我买的扑克牌和妈妈给我买的鼓浪屿盖章纪念本。

第三天我们中午去了小昭叔叔家吃午饭，小昭叔叔家有一个小妹妹，我觉得他长得很漂亮，也很可爱。吃完午饭以后我们和小昭叔叔去了厦门大学，进去了以后妈妈给我和妹妹一人买了一个气球，我要了一个美羊羊，妹妹要了一条小金鱼。

到了晚上我们去了厦门洗脚的地方，那里的水是放过中药的，所以小孩子不能洗脚，只有大人才能洗脚。第四天中午我们去了温泉，温泉的水有的金色的，有的是普通的水，有的还是蓝墨水的颜色呢。到了晚上我们去火锅店吃了火锅，吃完火锅以后妈妈去买了厦门的特产馅饼，然后就回去睡觉了。第五天早上妈妈去买了茶叶，然后下午就坐飞机回来了。

Last sunday, my friend LiXuan and I took a train to QIng Island. First, We visited the ocean in motion and played many exciting games.

Later, we went to the Buddy Bear restaurant and got some delicious food. Furthermore, We went to the beach and played in the water.

Dalian is a beautiful city. Dalian is close to Beijing. I spent 5o minutes on the plane. Dalian is near the sea. I smelled the salty taste in the air. The roads are clean. In last summer vacation ,I went to Beijing with my family.First ,we went to the Great Wall,where we met a lot of foreigners and we also took a lot of photos.They all like our culture and beautiful senery.Second.we went to the summer palace ,where the previous emporers spent summer in the old days.Third,we went to the Forbidden City .Finally ,we went to Wangfujing Street where we tasted much delicious food.In a word,we had a great time during the vacation and we leanred a lot from this tour.

Gulangyu is an island separated from Xiamen city proper. Its like a garden on the water. The shade of the trees covers nearly the whole island. Cars, buses, bikes are not allowed to drive there. Everyone should walk. This makes the place very quiet so that music played by the violin or the piano can be heard here and there. It is the famous "Home of Music".

The Sunshine Rock is the highest place on the island, so it has become the symbol of Gulangyu. Standing at the top of the Sunshine Rock, one can see the landscape of the whole Xiamen ands other small islands. The sky and the sea meet on the horizon. Its said that people can see clearly the Jinmen Island through telescope when the sun is shining. There are gentle waves on the sea and lots of people are swimming.At the foot of the Sunshine Rock is Shuzhang Garden with its picturesque scenery. The Forty-four Bridge spans over the water like a white dragon. What a beautiful picture!

暑假里，我们去了美丽又神秘的云南香格里拉。

香格里拉，风景十分美丽，不仅有青青的草地、潺潺的小溪、五彩缤纷的野花和色彩各异的浆果，而且在山上还能望见山脚下一大片绿毯似的牧地，以及在那里悠闲地啃着青草的牛儿。一切风景如诗如画，让人陶醉，我仿佛体会到了“天苍苍，野茫茫，风吹草低现牛羊。”沉醉在这美丽的风光中，我久久不能回神，等回过神来，我赶紧拿出相机，拍下这美景，记录下这里的点滴。

美好的时光总是短暂，我们恋恋不舍地离开了这片美好风光。

大年初四，爸爸妈妈带我去珠海长隆海洋王国玩。早上九点我们就开车到了位于珠海横琴的长隆海洋王国。这是一个刚开张的景点，又新又大。

一入园，两排色彩斑斓的珊瑚墙上架了一个巨大无比的弧形大屏幕，播放着海洋动物的视频，非常引人注目。园内有各种珍稀海洋生物、动物表演和游乐设施。

在这里除了动物园常见的海狮、海豚、白鲸、鲨鱼、海洋鱼之外，我还看到了广州海洋馆都没有的企鹅，有一种在室外晒太阳，是温带企鹅，脖子那里有V型的粉红色毛，体型比较小；在冰室里有帝王企鹅，它的体型比较大有70公分高，脖子处有黄色毛发。企鹅的邻居是北极熊，两只北极小熊在玩耍，互趁身体。很遗憾因为人太多，没能去海洋奇观和水晶宫看海洋小动物。

我们规划好时间，找到近距离的好位置，看了三场动物表演：海狮表演、海豚表演和白鲸表演。海狮一出场，就带来咸咸的海洋味道，看到海狮热情地拍掌，我也热情地鼓掌，海狮表演了倒立行走、转呼拉圈、投篮和一指禅等功夫，来自南美洲和美国加州的两对海狮在比赛中你追我赶，引得观众笑声不断。最好看的是白鲸表演，白鲸很聪明，会唱歌、会拍掌、会跳旋转的芭蕾舞、会空中翻跟斗，还和驯养员一起表演，一会儿让驯养员骑上它背上，从水里慢慢浮出水面，一会用嘴巴驯养员的脚，把他顶出水面，一会又亲驯养员，看得我眼花缭乱，结束了，我还依依不舍。

海洋王国的游乐设施还没完全调试好，我玩了一个“极速战船”，有点像晓港公园的“海盗船”，但更加刺激。战船在弯弯的轨道上来回荡漾，中间还绕着船心顺时针、逆时针各旋转七圈，有的人高兴在叫着，有的人害怕喊着，我开心地喊叫着，一点都不害怕。

晚上七点半在音乐喷泉广场，喷泉随着音乐的旋律跳动着，美丽的烟花从湖的四周绽放，三辆摩托艇上也不时喷出烟花，后面还跟着一个人，是被一根气管托举得高高的，好神奇吔。

海洋王国关门了，我还流连忘返、依依不舍。我期待着下一次再来！

Some of the small stones look like graceful girls; and the big stones look like handsome men. Other stones look like cats, peafowls, double-edged swords, mice,

elephants and so on. Of all the stones, the stone like a beautiful girl in a legend is the most famous .Its name is A Shima.

I also went to Li Jiang. The roads in that city are just like the Eight Diagrams. Any road in the city goes to the center of Li Jiang. A river runs through the whole city. If you go along the river, youll never get lost. There are many ethnic minority people in Yunnan. They are very cordial. And they all like singing and dancing. We danced with them around the campfire that night. I really had a good time.

I like the elephants and fruits there best. An elephant is even taller than me! I even mounted the elephant, though I was very afraid at first. But the elephant seemed very friendly. I took some photos with it. The fruits there are very fresh and delicious. They are very good for our health.

The trip to Yunnan impressed me GREatly. I will never forget it.

Lying at the center of Beijing, the Forbidden City, called Gu Gong, in Chinese, was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Now known as the Palace Museum, it is to the north of Tiananmen Square. Rectangular in shape, it is the worlds largest palace complex and covers 74 hectares. Surrounded by a six meter deep moat and a ten meter high wall are 9,999 buildings. The wall has a gate on each side. Opposite the Tiananmen Gate, to the north is the Gate of Devine Might (Shenwumen), which faces Jingshan Park. The distance between these two gates is 960 meters, while the distance between the gates in the east and west walls is 750 meters. There are unique and delicately structured towers on each of the four corners of the curtain wall. These afford views over both the palace and the city outside. The Forbidden City is divided into two parts. The southern section, or the Outer Court was where the emperor exercised his supreme power over the nation. The northern section, or the Inner Court was where he lived with his royal family. Until 1924 when the last emperor of China was driven from the Inner Court, fourteen emperors of the Ming dynasty and ten emperors of the Qing dynasty had reigned here. Having been the imperial palace for some five centuries, it houses numerous rare treasures and curiosities. Listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987, the Palace Museum is now one of the most popular tourist attractions world wide.

Construction of the palace complex began in 1407, the 5th year of the Yongle reign of the third emperor of the Ming dynasty. It was completed fourteen years later in 1420. It was said that a million workers including one hundred thousand artisans were driven into the long-term hard labor. Stone needed was quarried from Fangshan, a suburb of Beijing. It was said a well was dug every fifty meters along the road in order to pour water onto the road in winter to slide huge stones on ice into the city. Huge amounts of timber and other materials were freighted from faraway provinces. Ancient Chinese people displayed their very considerable skills in building the Forbidden City. Take the grand red city wall for example. It has an 8.6 meters wide base reducing to 6.66 meters wide at the top. The angular shape of the wall totally frustrates attempts to climb it. The bricks were made from white lime and glutinous rice while the cement is made from glutinous rice and egg whites. These incredible materials make the wall extraordinarily strong.

Since yellow is the symbol of the royal family, it is the dominant color in the Forbidden City. Roofs are built with yellow glazed tiles; decorations in the palace are painted yellow; even the bricks on the ground are made yellow by a special process. However, there is one exception. Wenyuange, the royal library, has a black roof. The reason is that it was believed black represented water then and could extinguish fire.

Nowadays, the Forbidden City, or the Palace Museum is open to tourists from home and abroad. Splendid painted decoration on these royal architectural wonders, the grand and deluxe halls, with their surprisingly magnificent treasures will certainly satisfy "modern civilians".
