在公元前5000年左右，古埃及人已由游牧改为农耕，定居在尼罗河两岸，他们的农业收成与尼罗河是否泛滥有很大关系，古埃及人从长期的观察中发现，尼罗河泛滥的时间是有规律的，他们就把这个时间每次都记录在竹竿上，从中得知两次泛滥时伺之间大约相隔365天，同时还发现，当尼罗河初涨的潮头来到今天开罗城附近的时候，也正好是太阳与天狼星同时从地平线上升起的时候。于是，古埃及人便把这一天定为一年的开始，这便是元旦的由来。

元旦是庆贺新年的开始，欢度元旦是世界各国各地区的普遍习俗。世界上大多数国家把每年1月1日作为元旦，由于世界各国所处的经纬度位置不同，各国元旦的时间也不同，因此，“元旦”的日期也有不同。如大洋洲的岛国汤加位于日界线的西侧，它是世界上最先开始新的一天的地方，也是最先庆祝元旦的国家。而位于日界线东侧的西萨摩亚则是世界上最迟开始新的一天的地方。

元旦，是个令学生兴奋的节日，之所以令那些正在读书的学生们兴奋，那是因为，元旦到了，可以放三天假了呀!其实嘛，只是放一天假而已，只是把星期六星期日调过来，星期日再回去上课而已。可是，已添加别人可能会嫌弃，但，把它变成三天，就会很高兴了。虽然只是增加两天，但那也是假，没有学生会嫌弃放假天数少的啦!

“下雪了!”我推开窗，望着外面的一切，惊呆了：房顶上、车子上、树木上都盖上了一层厚厚的棉被，雪花还在纷纷扬扬地飘落下来，整个城市银装素裹，粉妆玉砌，仿佛置身童话世界。雪花纷纷扬扬地飘落下来，我想用手抓空中的小雪花，呵，手中的雪花晶莹透亮，就像一件精美的工艺品。我把它放在小盒子里，准备好好欣赏。咦?怎么不见了?该不会是小雪花和我捉迷藏吧。哦，原来它融化了。看到这么多的雪，我迫不及待地和爸爸冲出家门去打雪仗。我捡起一团雪，奋力向爸爸扔去，雪球砸在爸爸的背上，“哗”，雪球像白色的烟花一般洒落下来。爸爸也毫不示弱，奋力还击，我左闪右躲，嘿嘿，怎么也扔不到我。“嘿，让你得意!”“啊!”一团雪花像一支离弦的箭一样迎面飞来，我得意过头，没注意到爸爸的“子弹”正好打中我的心脏，我像电视剧中的演员一样“中弹牺牲”，引得爸爸哈哈大笑。爸爸实在太厉害了，把我打得落花流水，惨不忍睹。可我还是玩得特别开心，冬天啊，你给我带来了快乐。

幸福的礼物

“噼噼啪啪……”热闹的爆竹声响彻云霄，绚丽多彩的烟花在夜空中绽放，我们在冬天迎来了春节。在这喜庆的节日里，冬天不再寒冷，人们团聚在家中，欢乐无比，一起见证新年的到来。听，我们家录音机中播放着《春节序曲》，欢乐的喜气荡漾在我们家。大家忙得不亦乐乎。爷爷忙着把灯笼挂上墙，“爷爷，我来!你腿脚不方便。”我赶紧去帮忙，搬来小椅子，掂起脚尖，小心翼翼地把灯笼挂了上去。“呵呵，我们家的小不点长大了!”那灯笼在灯光的照耀下，更加红艳。“走，我们再去贴春联。你贴上联，我贴下联。”“春满人间欢歌阵阵。”我展开春联，抑扬顿挫地念道。“福临门第喜气洋洋。”爷爷也摇晃着脑袋，用不标准的“江阴普通话”对道。“哈哈，横批：五福四海!”祖孙俩异口同声。厨房里飘出了诱人的饭菜香，原来是妈妈正在准备丰盛的团圆饭。“吃年夜饭了!”大家欢聚一堂，品尝着桌上香掉牙的佳肴，欣赏着窗外美丽的烟花，我们全家完全沉醉在浓浓的年味儿中了。随后，“第二道年夜饭”——春节联欢晚会“上桌”了，欢笑声，赞叹声，融合一体，交汇成了一首幸福的交响曲。冬天啊，你给我带来了幸福。
