I’m an outgoing girl and my name is Shi Yun. I love singing songs,

especially pop songs. My favorite singer is Jay Chou.

As we all know, Jay is a superstar of Asia. He has excellent music skills.

He started to play the piano at 5 years old and studied hard. When he was 15

years old, he was able to write songs. But the environment in which he lived is

not very good. When he was a child, his parents were divorced and as a result

his childhood was full of depression. He lived with his grandparents. He was

always silent and didn’t like talking to others. At the age of 16, he was

attracted by the bass’s low voice. So his mother bought one for him and he

started to play the bass. His success is filled with tears and sweat.

From his story, I know if I want to be successful, I should work harder. I

want to go in for music, although I know the way to success is very difficult

for me. Now that I choose this way, I’ll do my best to realize my dream. Of

course I will tell myself I will be a superstar someday.

On March 1st,2014, a great attack happened in Kunming, about ten guys from Sinkiang showed up inKunming train station, they took out prepared knifves, hurting people who were just walking around them. This accident is a great tragedy, people are shocked by what the gangsters did, it just happened so suddenly. This accident reminds people of how to protect themselves when attack happens. First, just to run. When we meet the gangster, the first thing is to run, the fast, the better, until you are far away from them. Second, if you don’t have enough time to run, then find a place to hind quickly. The place should be near you, having something to cover, don’t be afraid of the dirty environment, just to hind. Third, if you are caught by the gangsters, don’t fight with them, do as what they told you, only this will you have a chance to get away from them.

2014年3月1号，昆明发生了一场大袭击，大约来自新疆的十名歹徒出现在昆明火车站，拿出事先准备好的刀，向走在旁边的路人袭击。这个事故是一场灾难，人们对于歹徒的所作所为感到震惊，一切都发生得这样突然。这个事故提醒人们当袭击发生时，要懂得去保护自己。第一，赶紧跑。当我们碰到歹徒时，第一件事就是跑，越快越好，直到你远离他们。第二，如果你没有足够的时间跑，找到一个地方藏起来。这个地方应该是离你近的，有东西来掩护你，不要害怕肮脏的环境，赶紧藏起来。第三，如果你被歹徒抓住，不要和他们挣扎，按照他们说的去做，只有这样，你才会有机会逃脱。

As it is known to us all, there are 55 minority groups in China, each with its traditional customs, costumes and culture. Now let’s take a look at the Tibetan Minority.

The Tibetan Minority group live in Qinghai, Gansu, Sichuan and Yunnan Province. And the highest ridge in the world─beautiful and mysterious Tibet is their major habitat .

As the fertilized prairie stretches around the habitants as far as the eyes can see, most people live on animal husbandry, raising sheep, goats, cattle and growing a special kind of plant called Qingke. On account of the unique climate, people often wear warm and comfortable boots in winter, and they are always dressed in delicate robes which are made of the fur of sheep. Often they take off one sleeve of the clothes and tie it around their waists in order to work easily and use it as warm quilts at night.

Both men and women there like wearing silver ornaments, which look very mysterious and full of magical power. And they are good at singing and dancing, and the men there can have braids too. When they meet an important guest, they will present him or her a Hada, a piece of long white silk cloth to show their respect. And they will also treat the guest to a special kind of drink called Suyou Tea, which some people find hard to enjoy.

Besides, the habitants have developed both their own written and spoken languages, and the long poems they wrote play an important role in Chinese literature. And there are many well-protected culture relics as well, taking the grand Budala Palace as an example. It is a historical museum as well as an art treasury, where people can share their spirit belief in Buddhism and get artistic entertainment of the carved paintings and the beautifully-written chirographies.

The Tibetan ethnic group is also famous for its strange custom in funeral. Thinking that the soul belongs to the sky after a person dies, they usually put the body on a platform outdoors, spray on it and wait the condors to come to eat the body. In this way, they believe the soul goes up to the sky.

The Tibetan Minority is brimming over with deep emotions. The people there are very zealous and hospitable and they live freely and happily on the spacious grassland. Their history and culture contribute to the diversity of China, so we certainly should protect them and get them popularized and let them receive great respect they deserve.

Within China, regional customs and traditions concerning the celebration of

the Chinese new year vary widely. People will pour out their money to buy

presents, decoration, material, food, and clothing. It is also the tradition

that every family thoroughly cleans the house to sweep away any ill-fortune in

hopes to make way for good incoming luck. Windows and doors will be decorated

with red colour paper-cuts and couplets with popular themes of “happiness”,

“wealth”, and “longevity”. On the Eve of Chinese New Year, supper is a feast

with families. Food will include such items as pigs, ducks, chicken and sweet

delicacies. The family will end the night with firecrackers. Early the next

morning, children will greet their parents by wishing them a healthy and happy

new year, and receive money in red paper envelopes. The Chinese New Year

tradition is a great way to reconcile forgetting all grudges, and sincerely wish

peace and happiness for everyone.

Green environment is a symbol of health. Green can bring us to life, bring us energy. - at primary school, our school is a green school.

In our campus, everywhere can see green: the playground barriers, tall pine tree, all the year round is covered with the green skirt, cycas sting as sharp as needles; Before and after the teaching building, the front door, also have flower bed and garden decoration, even beside the runway is covered with many green grass, and wearing red maples.

Our school have a green, benefit is a lot! Students came to school, can breathe fresh air, make the person find the scenery pleasing to both the eye and the mind. If in the shade and rest for a while before exam, let us mind, perhaps score will improve a lot!

Our campus, everywhere, flower bed beside one of the most beautiful to the dining room of the garden. Willow there such as silk, beautiful. In the spring and autumn season, flowers in full bloom, the scent pervades the entire campus. Middle of the garden, there is a small pond, there are a lot of sand, the wind blows, they float up.

In this beautiful scenery is not natural, is our schools art workers carefully designed. In their hands, clusters of green as decorated with the campus as a picture. Every day we are responsible for the fallen leaves, sundry clean, let the campus beautiful forever, let this painting preserved forever.

绿色环境是健康的一种象征。绿色能带给我们生机、带给我们活力。我们的学校——镜湖小学，是一所绿色的学校。

在我们的校园里，到处都可以看见绿色：操场的隔离带，松树高大挺拔，一年四季都是披着绿色的长衣，铁树刺如针一般锋利;教学楼前后、大门前，也都有花坛和花园装饰，就连跑道旁都长满了许多碧绿的小草，和穿着红色衣服的枫树。

我们的学校有了绿色，好处还真是不少呀!同学们来到学校，都能呼吸清新的空气，使人心旷神怡。如果在考试前去绿荫边休息一会儿，让我们头脑清醒，说不定分数也会提高不少呢!

我们的校园里，花坛随处可见，其中最漂亮的就要数食堂旁的那个花园了。那里杨柳如丝，漂亮之至。在春秋季节，百花盛开，花香弥漫了整个校园。花园中间有个小池子，有许多沙子，风儿一吹，它们就飘了起来。

里面这美丽的景色可不是天然的，是我们学校的艺术工人精心设计的。在他们的手下，一簇簇绿色像画一样装饰着校园。我们每天负责把落叶，杂物清扫干净，让校园永远保持美丽，让这幅画永远保留下来。

我们推着母亲沿东面的盘山路上山，当轮椅跟母亲一起被推上山顶时，吸引了不少羡慕的目光，而此时的母亲更兴奋得像个孩子。在刻有汉白玉浮雕烈士纪念碑前，母亲与一些素不相识的老人们聊起家常，喜悦之情溢于言表，我用照相机记录下了这其乐融融的一幕。

农历九月称为“菊月”，在菊花傲霜怒放的重阳节里，登高跟观赏菊花是节日的一项重要内容。这是20_年重阳节记录下的母亲的一组图片，当时89岁的母亲身体尚好，重阳节那天恰逢“国庆”长假期间，我跟家人用轮椅推着母亲去登高跟赏菊。老年人登山秋游，可以开阔视野，交流感情，锻炼身体。

上山难下山更难，为防止轮椅失控下滑，采用上面拽下面顶的办法，顺原路下山后又推着母亲经胜利广场去公园赏菊，时逢国庆期间，灿烂的鲜花跟游人的笑脸把广场跟公园装扮得格外美丽。各式花坛营造出一片花团锦簇、欣欣向荣的景象。在亲人的陪伴下，徜徉在花海中，母亲一脸的幸福与快乐。

又是一年重阳节，景色依旧，物是人非。今年国庆10点钟，93岁的老母亲安详地走到另一个世界里，在那里她还会赏菊登高吗?早晨，我独自登上山顶，一路上寻觅着回忆着，在登山晨练的老人中间寻找母亲的身影，我祝愿天下的老人永远健康快乐。
