They are extra kind to dogs and feed them well as it is believed that the second day is the birthday of all dogs.The third and fourth days are for the sons-in-laws to pay respect to their parents-in-law.The fifth day is called Po Woo. On that day people stay home to welcome the God of Wealth. No one visits families and friends on the fifth day because it will bring both parties bad luck.On the sixth to the 10th day, the Chinese visit their relatives and friends freely. They also visit the temples to pray for good fortune and health.The seventh day of the New Year is the day for farmers to display their produce. These farmers make a drink from seven types of vegetables to celebrate the occasion.

The seventh day is also considered the birthday of human beings. Noodles are eaten to promote longevity and raw fish for success.On the eighth day the Fujian people have another family reunion dinner, and at midnight they pray to Tian Gong, the God of Heaven.The ninth day is to make offerings to the Jade Emperor.The 10th through the 12th are days that friends and relatives should be invited for dinner.

After so much rich food, on the 13th day you should have simple rice congee and mustard greens (choi sum) to cleanse the system.The 14th day should be for preparations to celebrate the Lantern Festival which is to be held on the 15th night.

We are always educated to be an honest person, especially to our parents. While the fact is that every kid will lie to their parents in their lives. For me, my parents are very strict, I am not allowed to go out at night, because the news always reports the bad incidents happen at night. But night activity attracts me a lot, and my friends like to hang out for fun at night, so I choose to lie to my parents and tell them I am doing my homework with my friends. Now as I grow up, I realize it is not right to tell lies, so I decide to be honest to my parents. Once they realize that I am not a little kid anymore, then I will have my right to do what I want.

The evening of the Lantern Festival, my parents and I a line of three people go to square to see fireworks together. Along the way, the lamp can be more people, men and women, old and young, they happily juggle said laughing, the whole city is a festival atmosphere.

Suddenly, a "missile" spray a fly to the sky, just like a plane, exploded in the sky, colorful fireworks like paratroopers float however, disappeared when fast to the ground. A few "meteor across the sky," see, the meteor shine, fly to the clouds, then there is countless small fireworks, small fireworks scratching noise frighten my brother quickly cover your ears, for a while, small fireworks will disappear without a trace.

The Lantern Festival is busy in the evening, people mountain people sea, people at the lamp people smile.

元宵节晚上，我和爸爸妈妈一行三人一起去广场看礼花。一路上，看灯的人可多了，男女老少都有，他们兴高采烈地边说边笑，整个城市一派节日的气氛。

忽然，一个“导弹”喷的一声飞向天空，就像飞机似的，在天空中爆炸了，五颜六色烟花像伞兵一样飘然而落，快到地面时就消失了。几颗“流星”从空中划过，看，那流星闪闪发亮，飞向云层，接着出现了无数小礼花，小礼花噼里啪啦的响声吓得我弟弟赶忙捂住耳朵，一会儿，小礼花便消失的无影无踪。

元宵节的晚上可热闹了，看灯的人人山人海，人们笑逐颜开。

The older I grow, the more I appreciate children. Now, at my 80th birthday, I salute them again. Children are the most wholesome part of the race, the sweetest, for they are freshest from the hand of God. Whimsical, ingenious, mischievous, they fill the world with joy and good humor. We adults live a life of apprehension as to what they will think of us; a life of defense against their terrifying energy; a life of hard work to live up to their great expectations. We put them to bed with a sense of relief---and greet them in the morning with delight and anticipation. We envy them the freshness of adventure and the discovery of life. In all these ways, children add to the wonder of being alive. In all these ways, they help to keep us young.
