Cellular phones have had a major impact on our lives and the way that we

perform every day tasks. Many of these changes are apparent, while others we may

not even be aware of.

Cell phones have brought a whole new meaning to the term multitasking.

Twenty years ago, it was not possible to talk to the office while you were at

the grocery store picking up some necessary items. You could never have had a

three-way business conference while you were fixing dinner or been able to deal

with a business client from home while caring for a sick child. Cell phones have

enabled us to do various tasks all at the same time.

Cell phones have also enabled families to keep in closer touch with each

other. Children can contact you if they have missed their ride form soccer

practice and your spouse can call while he is stuck in traffic to let you know

that he is going to be late for supper. Teenagers are able to call to ask

permission to go somewhere, and with GPS features that are now available on some

cell phones, you are able to check to make sure that they are where they are

suppose to be.

Many of these advantages we do not even notice. Have you ever arrived at

the grocery store and realized that you have forgotten your grocery list? The

first thing you would probably do is to call home and have one of your children

read the list off to you. In the same situation in past years, you may have

forgotten things or have had to drive all the way back home to get it. If your

car breaks down, you automatically call for help instead of having to walk to

find a pay phone. Cell phones have certainly made our lives much more

convenient.

Cell phones have also changed the way that people interact with each other.

When we call someone, we are actually calling the person and not a place. This

enables us to be more spontaneous when making plans as you rarely get a busy

signal and unlike a land line telephone, someone is always home. Cell phones

also enable us to call if we are going to be late for an appointment, although

this has led to cell phone users running late more often than those who do not

have cell phones. These users seem to have adopted the attitude that appointment

times are not concrete and use their cell phones to renegotiate their arrival

time.

One of the greatest disadvantages of the cellular phone is the fact that we

do not talk to strangers when traveling anymore. In the past, several people

waiting for a bus would engage in a conversation while they were waiting. People

who traveled the same routes every day might develop friendships along the way.

This situation does not happen anymore. Today when people are waiting for a bus,

they just pull out their cell phones and speak with old friends, missing out on

the opportunity to make new ones. In large cities, many people do not know their

neighbors, even though they may have lived in the same neighborhood for years.

As a society, we are beginning to lose the face-to-face contact that was such an

important part of our lives in the past.

Cell phones are a great asset in aiding in our every day lives. You should

remember, however, to hang up every once in a while and pay attention to the

world around you.

I always care so much about the food I eat, because my stomach is a little

week, so I can’t eat the junk food all the time. The healthy food makes me keep

fit so I eat it. Vegetable is very important, we should eat it every meal. The

fruit contains a lot of vitamins, it is in need. The fish is best for me.

Since I was a little child, I was taught that dont give up forever. My

mother told me that teaching me how to walk was a tough task. When I just

learned how to walked, I fell down frequently, but she or my father never helped

me to stand up, because they wanted me to stand up by myself. After fell down

We can see such signs as “No Smoking” in some public places, which is a

kind of measure taken to ban smoking in public places. However, concerning about

this measures, different people hold divergent opinions. The smokers protest

against that it is a kind of action to deprive of their free right, while the

non-smokers are in favor of banning smoking in public places.

In my opinion, I am inclined to support the latter one—smoking should be

banned in public places. There are reasons accounting for my point. For one

thing, people will be harmed by the second-hand smoking if someone smokes in

public places, especially the infants and children. For another, banning smoking

in public places is also beneficial to the smokers. If they are banned to smoke

in public places, they will restrain themselves from smoking and smoke less. In

the meantime, it is a contribution to reduce the air pollution.

Therefore, I advocate that smoking in public places should be banned so

that we can breathe the fresh air and suffer less from the second-hand smoking.

Nowadays, with long holidays at hand,travelinghas become a new trend for

us to relax ourselves outside work. Some people even had made a plan for it a

long time before the holiday begins. They usually travel with good friends or

travel along; only few people take their parents into travel plan. However, I

think it is high time for us to travel with parents.

In the first place, we should spend more time with parents. According to

research, if we come home 5 days a year, spend 4 hours a day with parents, it

would be less than 300 hours of 30 years, which means 25 days. We could see it

now that there is not much time for us to spend with our parents after we go to

work or have our own family. Hence, we should travel with our parents.

In the second place, parents used to took us to travel when we were young,

My name is Beth. Im 14 years old, and I study in No. 1 Middle School of

Hangzhou. My school is very big and beautiful. Im very happy in the school.

I usually get up at 6:15 in the morning. Then I do morning exercises in the

The Ten-minute Break Between Classes Time seems to be so limited for us Senior Three students. As a result, more and more students try to study from early morning till late afternoon, even during the ten-minute breaks. In my view, taking a ten minute break between classes is equally important. Otherwise, we will feel exhausted both physically and mentally,During the ten minute break, we are supposed to do something really relaxing, we need is to have a rest, instead of getting more tired. Besides, studying during the break doesn ’ t necessarily mean that you will achieve more. So doing nothing tiring in that short period is of greater significance. Recent years have seen a tendency in China that tourism is growing faster. The survey also shows that more people are interested in tourism, and will join the army in the future.

Facing this tendency, we can’t help exploring some underlying factors that are responsible. In the very first place, with the policy of reform and opening up, Chinese people’s living standard has been greatly improved, and therefore, most of them can afford to travel around. What’s more, it is believed that people now take a more positive attitude to tourism, and regard it as a life style. In addition, tourism facilities are becoming better and better. A short while ago when life was simple and all that mattered was friends and having fun. there were two sisters that lived life just as gracefully as possible. there names were carlie and mary jane they were liked by everyone but something just wasnt right. carlie and mary jane were both cheerleaders and loved it with a passion. but one day the unexpected happened.
