The giant panda （Ailuropoda melanoleuca） （"black-and-white cat-foot"） is a mammal classified in the bear family, Ursidae, native to central-western and southwestern China. It is easily recognized by its large, distinctive black patches around the eyes, ears and on its rotund body. Though technically a carnivore, the panda has a diet which is 98% bamboo. It is my belief that the environmental issues have grown to the point of being an international problem needing international cooperation to resolve。

Because of the differences in environmental policies， resources and technology， international cooperation could provide quicker results and have a greater impact on bringing resolution to environmental problems for nations of differing environmental policies and of lesser resources and technology。 By pooling international resources and technology to address the environmental problems， the disadvantaged nations are provided the assistance needed。 Otherwise their environmental conditions deteriorate ultimately affecting the resources and environment of the world as a whole。

One of the difficulities to an international resolution to environmental issues is the difference in individual nations view and policies toward environmental protection。 In order for international cooperation to occur and succeed， the nations of the world must submit themselved to international standards and supervision by an international mission elected by the participating nations of the world。 All members must agree to abide by the standards established。

The environmental issues facing each country are not unrelated to the well being of the rest of the world。 The impact is long term and international in scope。 Without international cooperation and agreement to address such environmental issues as glacial melting at the South Pole， depletion of the ozone layer， water pollution， air polution， etc。， the environmental conditions of the world will deteriorate to the detriment of every nation， not just those that ignore or lack the resources and technology to resolve their individual environmental problems。

As part of the same planet， it is the responsibility of each individual and nation to protect the global environment。 Only international cooperation will provide the timely solutions and the effectiveness needed to stop the deteriorating global environment。

尊敬的广大市民朋友：

“十八大”报告明确提出建设美丽中国的新构想，把生态文明建设放在突出地位，凸显了人与自然、人与社会和谐共生的重要性。大家知道，我们生活在一个庞大的生态系统中，许许多多的生物组成了我们周围的生态系统，野生动物就是其中的重要组成部分，是人类的朋友，保护发展和合理利用野生动物资源，对改善自然环境，促进人与自然的和谐，保持生物多样性，维护生态平衡，建设美丽中国有着重要意义。近年来由于人类不加限制的开发利用，导致了大量物种灭绝，资源种类减少，生态环境退化，人类生存环境日趋恶劣。为了缓解人与自然的矛盾，顺应自然发展规律，我们必须行动起来，从我做起，从现在做起，伸出我们的双手，献出我们的爱心，以实际行动保护和拯救野生动物，建设好美丽家园、美丽中国。

每年5月是野生动物保护宣传月。每年5月3日-5月8日是爱鸟周。

阜康市林业局是我市野生动物资源保护管理的职能部门，长期以来在宣传普及野保知识及法律法规和查处野保案件方面做了大量工作，市内野生动物生存、发展环境得以改善，野生动物物种逐年增多。但目前社会对保护野生动物的认识不足，滥捕、滥猎、滥食野生动物时有发生，保护野生动物的氛围亟待加强。因此我们呼吁全体市民行动起来，积极参与支持野生动物保护，为此我们提出如下倡议：

一、 全民动员，奉献爱心，保护和珍爱野生动物。

二、 不非法猎捕、杀害野生动物;

三、 不在集贸市场和其他场所非法销售野生动物及产品;

四、 餐饮行业不将野生动物及产品作为菜肴进行销售、广告，餐馆的名称不以“野味”字样冠名;

五、 客货承运业主自觉拒运野生动物及产品;

六、 广大市民自觉拒吃野生动物及其产品;

七、 广大市民积极举报非法捕杀、贩卖、食用、运输野生动物及产品的行为。

我们要保护野生动物，因为我们保护野生动物，野生动物对我们人类也会很友好。

比如说燕子，燕子能帮我们把田里的害虫吃掉。如果我们人类杀害捕捉它们，它们会吃掉那些常常来搔扰我们的蚊子，让我们更好地生活吗?没有了燕子，我们的周围变得很多害虫，这些害虫对我们人类有很大的坏处呀!

我还举个例子。比如说青蛙，青蛙也能帮我们吃田里的害虫，可以说是田里的警察。我们支捕杀他们，一旦没有了青蛙，田里的害虫越来越多，害虫不断地吃菜，难道我们会有美好的丰收吗?

我还举个例子。比如说啄木鸟，啄木鸟是森林中的医生，它可以帮我们吃掉树里的害虫，让树恢复健康。我们杀害它们，树木的害虫会越来越多，树木会慢慢地减少。地球上没有树，会发洪水、地震。

我最后举个例子。比如说猫头鹰，猫头鹰捉田鼠，是对我们人类有好处的，人类却常常捕猎它们。没有猫头鹰，田鼠会增加。田鼠吃的庄稼和菜就更多了，我们人类一样没有好的收成。

所以，我们要保护以上的动物。同时，我们还要保护其他的野生动物!

我也是一知青挖家族的一员，我从小就痛恨人们，整天跟着妈妈东躲西藏，一天我来到青蛙学校，写保护青蛙的作文。校长说：“今天我们不是学习怎么样捉害虫，而是学习怎么逃避人类的毒手……”校长的话还没有说完，一只大手就把我和他抓住了。我嚎啕大哭起来。坏人把我和校长放在一个麻袋里面，那里还有许多我的同类，他们都在悲伤地哭泣。

坏人把我们背到街上去卖，公安民警看见了，把他抓了起来，我也不知道把那人怎么处理了，我就听到有人在宣布一句话：“我国法律规定，不允许乱捉青蛙，违规者罚款三千元，”又对他进行了一番思想教育……

我们被放回了池塘，在民警的保护下，我们的日子算好过多了。我们一边捕捉着害虫，一边还是小心翼翼地学习保护自己的绝招……

Panda is familiar by more and more people as the development of Internet. Now people can see the live show from the Internet. These lovely angels are favored by the fans from all over the world. What they do in the daily life makes people laugh out loudly. No one can resist the charm from these angels. But it is known to all that panda is dying out, because it is not easy for them to get birth to the new babies. What’s more, people damage the environment, which makes panda lose their home. There are still many problems of enviromental protection in recent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air,water and soil. The polluted air does great harm to peoples health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. Whats more, vegetation has been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.

To protect the environment,governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, government are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today.

In my opinion , to protect environment, the goernment must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education.Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people mean more pollution.Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionalli should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

为此，我们倡议：加大《中华人民共和国野生动物保护法》的普法力度，媒体和社会各有关部门，要进一步加强对保护野生动物的普法、宣传教育工作，使《野生动物保护法》的宣传家喻户晓、深入人心。
