Whenever I remember my grade school days, I tend to be wistful over. Though no more are those days, I will never forget now wonderful they were. I was efree in my school days and all the year round I lived happily. I was not a hardworking pupil. Every day I directed my attention not to study but to how to out to how to cut classes and class leader as I was. I did not act like one; instead, I even encouraged others to cut classes, too. of course. I was caught out and severely punished. Often in preparing for a test we pupils would work together to devise ways of cheating in the test room. Though I was poor at cheating in any test. I never gave up but would again and again, hoping t way I would get high marks. With the passage of time I have gradually cast off those bad habits I once had always feel embarrassed each time I think of my foolish behavior in 1the past, I owe what I am to all my teachers. As the new year is coming, many families plan to go the zoo and have fun together. But recently, a tragedy happened in the zoo, a man was bitten by a tiger. The public scared, then later the truth came out that the men tried to skip buying ticket and he went across the limited line. The animal has their nature. Once they are under threat, they will do the horrible thing. If the visitors behave themselves well and do as the tips, then the tragedy won’t happen. Failure exists in every stage for everybody. As students, I think the most

common failure would be failing in the exam. Yes, I have failed in the exam for

many times. It is very common, because on one can keep the name of

ever-victorious generals forever. But some students do not figure out this. When

they fail in the exam, they need a long time to recover, even have directly

negative effect on their inner heart. This is not the right way to deal with

this problem. We need to figure out the reason why we don’t do well in the exam.

And then correct it. Try our best to get better next time.

I like drawing. It does bring me happiness. As a kid I was keen on those

lines and curves drawn on paper made into animals and scenes.

It really could show beauty to people and express my feelings. And then I

took a course so that I could get close to it and see it well.

But at that time I just did it for fun. Years went by I got into a long

Young volunteers

Lu Hao is a middle school student in Guizhou, who joined the “1 helps 1” program of the Youth Volunteer Community Development Project last year. Every Tuesday and Friday he visits an old man who lives alone. “Mr. Zhao is weak and cannot do much for himself, so I give him some help. I help do some shopping, do some housework, or read the newspaper to him as his eyesight is not good.” He said.

Meng Yu is studying for her master’s degree in Canada. She has a busy timetable, but still finds time for voluntary activities during the weekends. “Last month I took part in an event to help hungry children in some of the less developed villages. Twenty-two of us went without food for 30 hours! It was a challenge, but we could drink as much as we liked and we had a doctor there, so it was not dangerous. Communication is common and important in our daily life. All of us live

with others in the society and no one can live cut off from it. Everyday, we

must talk to others to give and get information, but how can we communicate with

others? Some people claim that they don’t know what to say and how to speak to

others, strangers especially. I think first you should find a topic that both of

you are interested in. Then, pay attention to your manners, speed, pitch,

expressions and your body language. You should make others feel comfortable, so

that they are willing to talk to you. Last but not the least, being a good

listener. Listening to others shows your respect to them. Only when they heard,

they want to talk. So do you. Before you talk, listening to others first.

The Spring Festival in my hometown almost from the year began, until the end of fifteen. Although there is only a short time to come to the sky, but every day is lively and festive.

my dream

I have a dream that I am always young. Then I will have enough energy to do everything whenever I want. Moreover， I dont have to worry about the old age during which I even cant take care of myself. I know that my dream will not come true. However， I think it is lucky that I am young now. So I will treasure my time， enjoy my life and try my best to do everything well.

Our new English teacher is Mr. Smith. He wears a pair of thick glasses. He is very serious and strict to us. I never saw him smile until the Teachers’ Day. On the Teachers’ Day, my classmates and I planned to give him a special gift——a smile. So the naughty John pretended to have passed out in the classroom. First of all,I need to greatly improve my English in this semaster,for I’m already in Junior 2 now,and there’s no time to waste.
