On this day, many go to church, where they take part in special religious services. During the Christmas season, they also exchange gifts and decorate their homes with holly, mistletoe, and Christmas trees. The word Christmas comes from Cristes maesse, an early English phrase that means Mass of Christ. The story of Christmas comes chiefly from the Gospels of Saint Luke and Saint Matthew in the New Testament.

The history of Christmas dates back over 4000 years. Many of our Christmas traditions were celebrated centuries before the Christ child was born. The 12 days of Christmas, the bright fires, the yule log, the giving of gifts, carnivals(parades) with floats, carolers who sing while going from house to house, the holiday feasts, and the church processions can all be traced back to the early Mesopotamians.

Many of these traditions began with the Mesopotamian celebration of New Years. The Mesopotamians believed in many gods, and as their chief god-Marduk. Each year as winter arrived it was believed that Marduk would do battle with the monsters of chaos. To assist Marduk in his struggle the Mesopotamians held a festival for the New Year. This was Zagmuk, the New Years festival that lasted for 12 days.

The Persians and the Babylonians celebrated a similar festival called the Sacaea. Part of that celebration included the exchanging of places, the slaves would become the masters and the masters were to obey. The ancient Greeks held a festival similar to that of the Zagmuk/Sacaea festivals to assist their god Kronos who would battle the god Zeus and his Titans.

The Romans celebrated their god Saturn. Their festival was called Saturnalia which began the middle of December and ended January 1st. With cries of Jo Saturnalia! the celebration would include masquerades in the streets, big festive meals, visiting friends, and the exchange of good-luck gifts called Strenae (lucky fruits). The Romans decked their halls with garlands of laurel and green trees lit with candles. Again the masters and slaves would exchange places.

Jo Saturnalia! was a fun and festive time for the Romans, but the Christians thought it an abomination to honor the pagan god. The early Christians wanted to keep the birthday of their Christ child a solemn and religious holiday, not one of cheer and merriment as was the pagan Saturnalia.

Some legends claim that the Christian Christmas celebration was invented to compete against the pagan celebrations of December. 画完画后，老师让我们猜谜语。老师连出几个谜语我们都没想出来。后来，聪明的匡翔灵机一动，一下子想出了好几个谜语。老师奖了他一支自动铅笔和一盒笔芯。我答对了两个谜语，老师奖给我一个本子。

猜完谜语后，老师让同学们上台表演。我表演一首笑话诗“日照香炉生紫烟，遥看厕所在前边。小李飞刀一瞬间，匡翔变成小太监。”逗得同学们哄堂大笑，连老师也忍不住笑了起来。邹奇上台演唱一首歌“我也骑马巡逻去”。他一起头我们就跟着他唱。欢快的歌声充满了整间教室。我们像一群欢快的云雀翱翔在圣诞节的天空中。

回到家里，妈妈送我一棵碧绿的圣诞树，上面挂着许多小礼物，还有许多闪闪发光的草莓灯。我见了高兴地跳了起来。

晚上，我把袜子放在枕头下，等待着圣诞老爷爷给我礼物。第二天早晨，我发现一个袜子里面放了一个小雪人，另一个袜子上面放着一个带书架的文具盒。我感到万分惊喜。心想：这真是圣诞老爷爷给我的礼物吗?真是不可思议。

在昨天，妈妈带我出去给我买了许多我喜爱吃的东西，作为给我的圣诞礼物。妈妈说：“咱家没有多少钱，花钱得节省点啊!”听到这里，我怀着感激的心情对妈妈说：“妈妈，您对我已经太好了。”我心里想了许多：从我记事起，爸爸妈妈从没穿过一件好的衣服，买菜买吃的东西都是爸爸从菜市场挑便宜的卖。妈妈更是从不乱花一分钱，她自己把好吃的东西都舍不得吃给我留着。作为一个女人，从来没见她穿过一件像样的衣服。可我和她出去的时候，想要买书，她每次都要满足我的要求。在去年，我因为学习需要电脑，爸爸妈妈把家里仅有的钱全部拿出，给我买了一台电脑。爸爸妈妈为了我的学习，从不吝啬。我为有这样的爸爸妈妈感到幸福，我一定要努力学习，等我长大以后一定要回报他们。在圣诞节里给他们买许多许多的礼物送给他们，让他们平安幸福。我虽然受条件的限制，没有和别的孩子一样放了假就参加各种各样的补习班，可我一定要比参加补习班的孩子都要努力，一定要赛过他们，做一个优秀的小学生。我想着想着，我又回到了和妈妈回家的路上。虽然我们家不是那么富有，但我觉得我在这个圣诞节里是世界最幸福的孩子。

今天是圣诞节，我想到那些贫困山区的孩子，他们还不如我呢!虽然政府免除了他们的学杂费，可他们有的家庭，连文具都给他们买不起。我和他们比起来，我比他们强多了。我一定要珍惜现在的学习机会，要努力发奋学习。等我长大了，要用我学到的知识，把祖国的贫困山区建设成美丽富饶的新农村，把所有的贫困家庭都变成小康家庭。

圣诞节就要到了，这是我每年最期待的节日，小朋友们一定会收到不同的礼物。今年，我想要什么礼物呢?

我想要一双透明的翅膀，这样特别的圣诞礼物，就只有我自己看得见，其他人都看不见，这双透明的翅膀很神奇，上面有着特别的花色，有迷人的桃红色、亮眼的金黄色和神祕的紫色，还用最抢眼的颜色绣了一只可爱的小蝴蝶，这样美丽的翅膀有谁会不爱呢?

翅膀对大家来说，就像是一个方便的交通工具，如果我真的有了这神奇的翅膀，我可以自由自在的飞翔，想飞到哪就飞到哪，根本没有人管。而且说不定我一飞上天，每个人都吓呆了呢!因为翅膀只有我看得见，一般人是看不见的呀!

除了这个圣诞礼物，我还希望圣诞老公公送来一双可爱的鞋子。这双鞋子颜色粉粉淡淡，而且还有一朵吸引众人目光的玫瑰花，有了这朵玫瑰花，让这双鞋不再那么平凡，而是变得缤纷亮丽、光彩夺目了，这朵玫瑰花就是真正的玫瑰花，才会如此的鲜艳。如果这双鞋真的在市面上大卖，这家店一定会”大丰收”吧!

这双鞋穿起来舒服又合脚，走起路来，感觉有上千只眼睛盯着我看，这样的感觉好像挺不赖的，而且穿上这双鞋子，只要有紧急事件，就可以跑得像赛车一样快，享受风迎面而来的冲刺感，想想我现在的旧鞋子，还真想换一双新鞋呢!

我希望十二月二十五日的圣诞节赶快来到。因为，我还有很多愿望还没实现，我想要请圣诞老公公赶快来送礼物!

首先，范老师怪笑着给我们出了一道题，谁只要答对了就一定会有奖品。大家都积极地举起了手，我觉得一定有玄机，因为范老师相当的狡猾，要从他手里拿到奖品可没有那么容易。于是，我并没有举起手。果然不出我所料那位答对的同学不但没有得到奖品，还受到了惩罚。接着范老师又出了一道题，我心想：你以为我会上当吗?当然不会，这一种招也太老套了吧，要想骗过我可没有那么容易。不过我肯定又有人会上当。果然，别的同学再次举起了手，下场当然跟上次一样。范老师又出第三道题了。我又想：按照范老师的习惯﹙范老师的忍耐限度只有三次﹚，这一次一定有奖品，我还是举手为妙。于是，我举起了手，可范老师理都没有理我一下。这次果然有奖品。

接着，我们还唱了“青花瓷”这首歌曲。全班同学都扯开嗓门唱，尤其是杜淦荣和杨一鸣唱得声音最大也最起劲。

我们的歌声竟然把外教都吸引过来了，于是，我们就和外教一起跳起了“兔子舞”，全班气氛达到了最高潮，我们十分开心﹑快乐﹑愉快。

这个圣诞节晚会真是令人难忘啊!

圣诞节是每年的12月25日,在我们的学校,要开一次派对,真的很爽!

在圣诞节的那一天，我们会在教室弄活动。我们上午上课，下午开始搞活动，去年，我们开了一次，但今年不知道会不会开，但我希望最好开，我好久没享受过同学们一起开派对了!

转眼间，上午过去了，下午终于到了，我们把教室布置的漂漂亮亮，布置的就象五星级宾馆一样。派对开始了，我们带着愉快的心情，心里非常激动，因为大家好久没这么痛快了，要好好玩一玩!!!

在派对了，我们吃东西，表演节目，在欢声笑语中，我们每个人都非常开心，不知道该怎样形容那种开心!

时间一分一秒过去了，派对的时间也没多少时间了，可是我们很开心，因为我们在这次派对中，又享受了一次开心的朋友聚会，所以没有人不开心，我们还收了一些礼物，都是自己喜欢的东西。

在这次派对当中，让我知道了一件事，那就是友谊是很宝贵的，不好好珍惜，就会溜走!
