在这个新年里，我觉得最开心的事情就是放爆竹了。

过新年的前几天，我的舅舅给我和表姐表弟买了许多爆竹。大年三十那天，我们平分这些爆竹。我们兴奋极了，都希望大年初一这一天快点到来。

大年三十晚上，我们在看过中央台的新年联欢晚会后就急忙跑到屋外去看美丽烟花。烟花五颜六色，好似满天盛开的牡丹，又象七仙女化成流星来到人间为老百姓造福，真是美不胜收。大年初一终于来到了。一大早，我们就拿着爆竹到外面去放。我一开始不敢放，在表姐的再三鼓励下，我终于敢放了。

一开始我还不会包饺子。于是妈妈就教我怎么包，她说：“首先把小面团擀成中间厚四边薄的面皮儿，然后将面皮儿两边一掐。把馅儿紧紧包在里面，一个像小船儿一样的饺子就做好啦。”我说包饺子还有这么多步骤啊，于是我就包了起来，包了几个也没有成功。在妈妈的鼓励下，我继续练习，虽然包的饺子像吃不饱饭似的，但总算成型了，真是功夫不负有心人啊！
