一到了夏天，我便会跟着小伙伴一起去捉鱼摸虾。一放了暑假，我们相约去小溪里捉鱼，鱼可不是那么好捉的，常常让我们一头栽在水里，四脚朝天。但我们又立刻起来再去捉，有时我们一群人为捉一条鱼，猫着腰，双手伸进水里，从四面包抄，身上的衣服没有一处是干的。虽然每次回家总是会挨批，但我们心里会无比高兴。

除了逮小鱼，我还喜欢去赏荷花，夏天的时候，荷塘里的荷花几乎全都开放，一走进池塘就会闻见阵阵清香，那种香是荷叶与荷花的混合味道。我喜欢摘几朵荷花拿回家，放在水里养着，整个屋子里都充满淡淡的香味。看到开放的美丽的荷花的时候，会使人心旷神怡，整个人的心情都好了，把一切坏的事情都忘记了，陶醉在花香中。

最有趣的就是捉知了。夏天待在家里很无趣，那种闷热使人无法忍受，即使在家里开着空调也会有种让人很不舒服。这时，我们会和很多小伙伴一起去树林里捉知了，在这里，绿色植物进行光合作用，制造氧气会使空气清新，而绿色植物的蒸腾作用会使空气中的水分增加，使温度比别处低，空气比别处清新，在这里玩耍真是一种享受。

地上的小穴就是知了幼虫的家，我们会拿根小棒，仔细地去找，把这个穴弄大，运气好的时候就会捉上几个，如果运气不好的时候，出来的可能会是小蛤蟆，如果特别倒霉的时候，甚至还可能出来的是蛇。但别担心，这种几率是很少的。我们捉到的知了，一般都会拿回家给妈妈，让妈妈给我们炒着吃，味道到非常美味。

夏天充满着无限的乐趣，我喜欢夏天。

In summer days, I can do a lot of things, such as swimming, eating ice cream, drinking cold water. Besides, the summer holiday is my favorite time.

I don’t have to go to school in holidays, so I can play with my friends. I can travel with my parents, too.

I want to go many places, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen and so on. This is why I love summer.

New Years day is an important day in China, because the New Years day means a new beginning.

When the first sunshine through the treetops, I open my hazy sleep, preparing for the first day of the New Year.

As the saying goes: to have New Year new atmosphere, in order to meet the New Year. 当第一缕阳光穿过树梢，我睁开朦胧的睡眼，准备迎接新一年的第一天。

俗话说：新年要有新气象，为了迎接新年的到来。电视台费尽心机，绞尽脑汁，弄了一个新年赛诗会，当演员上台朗诵的时候，他们心如刀绞，但当观众们鼓掌的时候，他将诗朗诵的淋漓尽致，尽管他们精疲力尽，但还是精益求精，希望为观众们献上最出色、最完美的表演，希望让他们觉得不虚此行。

元旦可是个普天同庆的日子，所以连北美也在庆祝呢!趁着北美正在下鹅毛大雪，艺术家准备趁热打铁，用他们灵巧的手，经过精雕细琢，完成了一座座冰雕，同时，那也开了一个冰雕乐园，人们仿佛回到了冰河世纪。

为了新一年的到来，我们一定要好好学习!

My favorite subject is English,because it is a useful and interesting language.With the 2010 World Expo drawing near, English is certain to be very useful then,as it can help us communicate with foreign guests.Now,in order to improve my English level,I read English 30 for minutes every day.. Also,at school, the teacher will help us to learn new words and explain the English text,and I always listen to my teacher carefully .Whats more, I often do adequent amounts of English exercises to improve my grammar.As the saying goes: no pains, no gains. I believe if I keep working hard both at school and at home,I will have a good commmand of English when the Expo arrive.
