Many years ago, the movie about the youth became very popular, every year,

we can see many hot movies about the protagonist’s passed youth. People like to

recall their passed youth, which makes such movies sell good. But I find the

common things about these movies, all the protagonists’ youth are about

fighting, love and other negative things. I understand the directors’ intention,

they want to tell people youth is not perfect and having pities. Of course movie

is exaggerating, the real youth is about studying, at least, most people have

worked so hard to get into their ideal colleges. What the movies describe make

up some people’s youth, for which they don’t have the chance to experience. We

should not be misled by these movies, for the teenagers, their job is to study,

so that they can have a bright future.

I understand your well-respected college offers a number of places to overseas students every year, and I am writing to enquire about the application procedure.

I am at present a student at Mary High School, Hong Kong, where I have been studying for the past five years. I passed the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination last year with distinctions in English and History, and credits in Economics and English Literature. My advanced-level subjects are History, Economics and English Literature. In addition to these subjects, "Use of English" is also a compulsory subject because a pass in English is a minimum requirement for admission to most faculties of the University of Hong Kong.

Apart from academic work, I have been actively involved in extra-curricular activities. I am Chairman of the English Club and I have represented my school in many inter-school contests.

On the advice of my friends, I have decided to further my studies in England because I wish to widen my horizons and benefit from the scholarly heritage of your country.

寒假已至，对于初三的学生而言，这个寒假不会像往年那样轻松了。中考的临近，让初三同学们多了一份紧张，少了一份惬意;多了一份繁忙，少了一份安逸。针对这样的情况，我们认为帮各位初三同学进行剩余时间的规划是非常必要的。

第一阶段：1月中旬至3月中旬--基础夯实，查漏补缺

学生在这一个半月的时间里，应该对今年中考语文新加题型有充分的认识，这是每个考生都必须做到的。

除此之外：

在这个复习阶段，对于语文基础相对较弱的学生而言，我们建议你继续巩固自己的基础，将《考试说明》中所列的字词、背诵理解的古诗文等范围性知识进行全面梳理，字词逐一确定读音，注意区分易错字，保证字音字形的全面掌握;对重点的古诗文内容要牢固掌握，包括注释与翻译。另外，要对中考近五年的真题进行必要的练习，尤其是阅读题，争取全面认识阅读题考察的文章类型与题目形式。作文方面，我们要试着多看几篇高分作文，并主动训练。

对于语文学习处于中等的学生来说，我们建议你在此时要积极强化平时学习不够扎实的部分，比如字音字形、古诗文背诵理解等等，查漏补缺，争取在这个阶段将所有之前记忆不清楚的部分彻底记住。同时，在阅读和作文方面，中等学生可以着重练习一些模拟题，并对考试内容进行更加明晰的分类，作文方面要对之前所写文章进行修改、润色，尝试形成几篇自己能够牢固掌握并改写的文章。

倘若你语文成绩居于优秀的水平，我们建议在这段时间里要保持必要的练习，保证基础题的万无一失。阅读方面可以多做一做模拟题，在表达方面多对照参考答案，找出自己表达方面的不足。作文要有几个素材是可以自由转换的，同时也可以继续拓展自己的素材范围，在语言表达方面多加努力。

第二阶段：3月中旬至一模(5月初)--重点突破，全面推进

这个阶段是至关重要的一个半月。在这段时间里，我们建议：

语文学习相对较弱的学生要多做一些套题，培养考试感受，需要特别强调的是，这个阶段应当把更多的时间和精力放在阅读与作文上，认真分析自己的不足，并在多频次的练习中不断纠正自己的审题与答题方面的偏差。作文方面，要多加练习，形成至少三个不同方面的素材，尝试在不同题目中去变换使用。另外，要在表达方面收集一些经典表达，最好自己能灵活运用多种修辞以及人物描写方法。

语文中等学生要注意阅读的表达优化，让自己的表达更加精准，同时作文方面多加强化，注重审题与表达，同时练习更加灵活、顺畅地使用多种表达方法与技巧，塑造人物方面更加立体、生动。

对语文优秀的学生而言，我们建议要在作文和阅读方面多加留意，作文上除了词句表达之外，要更加重视结构，重视整体效果，学会合情合理地升华;阅读方面，争取对所有文章类型与题型都已了如指掌。

第三阶段：一模至中考--多看少做，全线排查

一模到中考大约还有一个月时间，在这个阶段：

所有考生都应该少做题，多看题。另外，基础较弱的学生可以多看看之前的字词错题，着重看看重点和难点的古诗文背诵和理解的篇幅，阅读要多看看历年真题，适当的时候可以回归教材，复习教材的一些重点文章。作文方面，我们建议多温习之前自己修改过的文章。

中等生要注意阅读与作文的复习，以及文言文理解方面的重要篇幅;语文优秀者可以多复习作文和阅读，查漏补缺。

中考难度试卷110以上的学生：

特点：学生知识基础扎实，学习习惯较好，扣分部分多为完型、阅读CD篇、写作。学习目标基本为模拟及中考基本稳定在115分以上。

复习规划建议：对于高分学员来说，110-115的提升是一个对于做题精准度的提高，主要针对部分应当是阅读CD篇阅读。应当主要从词汇、长难句入手，尤其是学生对于长难句的理解。学员可以做一些阅读分类的练习，背诵不同题材文章的词汇。在培养阅读语感的同时，完型也会有所提升。

中考难度试卷90-109的学生：

特点：学生知识基础比较扎实，完型、阅读，出错较多，写作中等。词汇掌握不牢固，数量未达标。

复习规划建议：

首先，我们要做的就是夯实词汇。中考1600个必备单词，必须制定适合自己的计划，尽快完成背诵。

其次，阅读、完型入手，提高分数。阅读AB篇练习，做到不扣分。CD篇阅读、完型，每天进行计时计数的练习，并积累不会的单词。对于同义句替换、长难句理解，能够达到一个比较好的认知效果。

中考难度试卷90分以下的学生：

特点：学生基础较差，单词掌握较少，语法体系不完备。

复习规划建议：1、针对每套中考题、中考模拟题，摸清中考单选考点，将考点的语法弄清楚，保证单选得分、阅读AB篇，掌握关键词法，拿下阅读AB篇。3、阅读CD，根据主题，保持练习数量，积累词汇。4、完成句子，背诵中考常考句式30句，做到每句话划成分，查时态。

初三下学期的时间安排很紧张，二月学溶液，三月四月学酸碱盐，五月初讲讲化学与生活，然后五月中旬就一模了。这期间还要体检、体育模考、体育正考等，零七八碎的事情很多，所以大家一定要抓紧一切学习时间。

首先，我们来看看下学期的主要内容都有哪些：

一、溶液部分：

在重要考试中，较难的反应几乎都在溶液中进行，计算题的最后一题也必然跟溶质质量分数有关。我们在学习这个单元时，要能分清溶液中各物质之间的关系，掌握饱和溶液和不饱和溶液的区别与转化方式，熟悉溶解度曲线中点、线、面的意义，对于简单的溶质质量分数计算问题能够快速正确利用规律解决，一定杜绝死记硬背和生搬硬套。

二、酸碱盐部分：

酸碱盐部分中一定要掌握的是酸碱盐各自的化学性质，酸有五条，碱有四条，盐也有四条。这些物质之间能否产生反应的判断，化学方程式的书写及反应现象是考试中的重点。溶解性表也是一定要掌握到内容。有些同学可能会觉得初中化学要记得东西太多，尤其到了酸碱盐这部分，几乎出来一个知识点就必须牢记。到了高中你就会知道，初中这点内容真的是太少了，少的让人内心充满了幸福感!学习这部分内容要结合反应规律和各常见物质的性质来进行层层递进，分类记忆，归类一些题型的基本分析思路和规律，这样才能做到学到、学好。

三、推断、实验、计算部分：

初三的这个寒假，除了要对溶液、酸碱盐学习这部分内容进行预习，还要学习早已出现却没有系统归纳的题型--推断、计算，及实验。这三部分知识被我们学生戏称为“化学的三座大山”。80%以上的学生对这三种题型没有一个很好的解决方法，几乎所有的学生都认为这三种题型十分复杂。不过值得庆幸的是，因为两年之后的中考改革，所以今后的中考题会越来越简单，这三种类型的题目难度肯定会有所降低。在推断题方面，一定要熟悉常见物质的性质及反应关系，包括谁能生成谁，谁能被谁生成，绝对不能把大量方程式背熟就觉得学完了。计算方面一定要有一个整体的认知，要明白此题到底想让我们从什么角度和知识点去解决，而不是一拿到题就开始解，那样只会增加解题的时间，而不能很好的理清解题思路。实验方面更加注重整道题的分析理解，一定要首先弄明白实验目的到底是什么，设计的实验是要对哪个问题进行分析研究，各装置的作用及原理都是什么，实验操作的时候需要注意哪些实际存在的问题。关于计算题，一直出现的问题比较多。但几乎每年中考，都是一直在通过溶质的质量分数和复分解反应中产生气体或者沉淀来进行一系列的计算。所以我们只要掌握了解题方法，计算题肯定能迎刃而解。建议先从综合性不是特别强的题目练起，熟练之后在对中考题或者模拟试题中较难的综合性计算题进行研究。免得因为反复练习之后觉得计算题太难而内心恐惧，从而放弃。

对于不同程度的同学，下学期的学习侧重点显然是不同的。

一、基础薄弱：扎实复习，狠抓基础

基础薄弱的同学在新学期一定要跟上老师的进度，上课注意听讲，认真做笔记，下课按时完成作业，不会的问题一定要请教老师或者同学。还要熟记常见酸碱盐的俗称、化学性质及相关反应方程式。千万不要破罐破摔，认为上学期没学好，化学就没有希望了。其实中考化学60%都是基础知识，而且随着中考的改革，基础知识所占比重将逐渐加大，试卷难度会逐年降低。所以大家还得抓住基础，牢记各知识点。

二、中等程度：重点突破，熟能生巧

中等程度的同学除了保持住自己基础知识良好的优点外，还得加强对重点考点的专题训练，比如实验、计算和简单推断。尤其是实验题，31题一定要拿满分，32题最多只能扣两分，33题争取有思路，能拿多半的分。计算题基本都是一个套路，一定要多练习，注意总结方法。

三、优秀程度：归纳概括，注意细节

成绩优秀的同学，一定要注意归纳总结自己在考试中及作业中出错的地方，整理出来然后找老师帮忙解决。在做实验题时，一定要先弄清楚实验目的，描述实验现象时要简洁、清晰、准确。建议多看看标准答案，学习一下到底怎么回答实验现象才能得满分。

英语，是全世界通用的语言，只要你会说英语，不管走到哪里，就都不用担心受怕了。

我喜欢英语这门学科。最早接触英语的时候是小学三年级，当时学校对这门新开设的功课虽然比较重视，但没有安排单元检测，所以大家上英语课都比较散漫，整个课堂都闹哄哄的，而且我们的老师水平似乎也不高。那个时候，我对英语并不感兴趣。

直到五年级，我们换了一个英语老师，这个新老师长得很漂亮，英语说得很好，我很喜欢她。刚开始，我是因为她的美貌，想让她注意我，才在课堂上认真听讲的。后来，我学进去之后，才发现英语很有意思，也很“好学”，因此，我对英语产生来浓厚的兴趣。

有一回，我在超市买东西，偶然地看到了一个外国人，因为在那之前我从未看到过外国人，所以对她很好奇。金黄色的长发，棕色的眼睛，高挺的鼻子，简直是深深地迷住了我。我那时就一直看着她，当然，我知道这样是很不礼貌的，可是我就是对她充满了好奇心。我很想走过去和她说几句话，可是我又不敢。后来，她好像注意到了我，对我笑了一笑。她这一笑简直是让我欣喜若狂，在那一刻，我就下定决心一定要学好英语，一定要能和外国人流利地交谈。

从此我就经常去找英语老师，向老师了解一些关于外国和英语有关的事。

现在初中了，我还是对英语有浓厚的兴趣。黄老师很亲切，每次看到她，就像是看到老熟人一样。我很喜欢上她的课，有时我都巴不得一整天都上英语课。英语课很轻松，几乎都是洋溢着笑声的。黄老师还能说一口流利的英文，可以完全听懂老外的话，也可以流利地和老外交流，这一点，我特别羡慕黄老师。她是我的偶像，是我的榜样，我要像她看齐（虽然她是我的老师）。

班上很多人觉得我上英语课和外教可很激动，确实，我承认，但这也是我喜欢英语的一种方式。我对英语有一种莫名的喜欢，看到老外，我就像是吃了兴奋一样，就算原本不高兴也会变得很高兴。

上外教课时，我会很认真地听讲，虽然有很多听不懂，老外抽问时，我也都会积极地举手发言，哪怕是回答不了。我也不会觉得丢脸，因为我站起来回答问题，也是给自己的一次锻炼机会，同时也和老外多接触了一次，所以，哪怕是回答不了问题，我也是很开心的。

这个暑假我去看了上海的世博会，我在世博园里大开了眼界，里面有好多的外国人。每看到外国人我都会主动上去邀请他们和我一起拍照。刚开始和老外交流时，我有些害怕，怕自己说不好英语，但是那些热情的外国人个给予了我勇气，让我敢于大声发出邀请，“Can you teke photos with me？”（你能和我一起拍照吗？）当然，在和外国人交涉的时候我也碰过壁，那是在地铁站里，我看到一个外国人，我很开心地看来他一眼，可他却皱着眉头，用不标准的普通话说“不要看我。”这句话让当时的我很是尴尬，因为我从未碰到过这种状况，这次的事，让我注意起对待老外的应有礼节，但这并不影响我对英语的热爱。

从小学到现在，我对英语的热爱是越来越深。

The farewell day would the least expected day in my life, but it has come eventually.

At this momnet, I have to say that it is such a priviliage and honor to have worked with you guys shoulder on shouldr over the last four years.

每年的正月十五是我国家喻户晓的传统节日——元宵节，人们通常都聚在一起吃汤圆，表示团团圆圆。记得小时候，每逢元宵，我就会拉着一个兔子灯满街走动。不知不觉，今年的元宵节又悄悄到来了,闻着这浓浓的元宵味儿,我记忆犹新,蓦然想起了去年放孔明灯的场景。

盼星星,盼月亮,终于盼来了那年的元宵节。这天,老师故意把作业布置得很少,目的就是想让我们过个快乐的节日。放学回到家,我便以高效率完成了作业。吃完饭,妈妈奏起了锅碗瓢盆交响曲,我蹑手蹑脚走进厨房,在妈妈面前花言巧语,假惺惺地“讨好”老妈,让妈妈带我去广场放孔明灯,可妈妈不吃这一套,一声不吭。我一计不成又生一计——软磨硬泡,这一次,妈妈被我打败了,只得答应我去,我兴奋得一蹦三尺高,因为我还从来没放过孔明灯呢。

怀着激动的心情,我和妈妈来到广场。广场上被人群和车辆包得里三层,外三层,简直座无隙地,我和妈妈费了好大劲儿才挤进来。周围有许多美食摊,可称得上美食广角,一些小朋友头上戴着五颜六色的牛角灯,但这些东西没有吸引住我的眼球。嘿!前面两位大姐姐拎着两盏灯,一个彩球灯五光十色,好似万花筒。另一盏是红色老鼠灯,这盏老鼠灯栩栩如生,老鼠的眼睛瞪得圆溜溜的,像两个铜铃,嘴边还有几根又细又尖的胡子,尾巴长长地拖在身后。过了一会儿,我忽然看见前面有三五群人在放孔明灯,便迫不及待地拽着妈妈的手去买灯,然后又找了一块合适的地方准备放灯。妈妈先把包装袋打开,取出蜡块,把里面的钢丝取出,架好了灯,再把蜡块牢牢地套在钢丝上,固定好后,妈妈拿出打火机,点燃了蜡块,然后立即将孔明灯固在地上,让火焰烧到适当的温度.我也过来帮忙固定孔明灯,大约十分钟过去了,灯还是不动声色,我急于求成,松开了手,放飞孔明灯,可它还没飞到两米就落了下来。妈妈在一旁说道:“心急吃不了热豆腐,这灯里的热量也许还不足呢!”我只好蹲下来,慢慢等待奇迹诞生的那一刻,“功夫不负有心人”,孔明灯慢慢地鼓了起来,妈妈立刻让我松手,孔明灯像个懂事的孩子一样,一眨眼就蹭地飞上了天,一直朝着灯群飞去.渐渐地,放灯的人越来越多,一会儿这边“旭日东升”，一会儿那边“一行白鹭上青天”。不知是谁放的灯，一直朝着月亮飞去，从月亮这边绕到那边，小得像一颗星星，而一旁的月亮呢，像一位害羞的白衣少女看见外来宾客，羞答答地躲进了云层里，若隐若现的，真是太神奇了!看着满天的孔明灯，我默默地许下了心愿。

在娱乐的同时也要注意安全，放孔明灯要选择在空旷的地方放，避免引起火灾，毕竟安全第一嘛,现在，我越来越喜欢元宵节了，因为它是一个充满美好快乐的节日!

Spring Festival, a day Im looking forward to for a long time, should be

full of happiness, bustle and laughter. But this years novel coronavirus is so

rampant that I can only stay at home and wear masks when I go out, and my

parents remind me to keep warm and pay attention to personal hygiene every day.

The novel coronavirus seemed to have no intention of retreat, but doctors

After you come back from guilin to play, in order to let me have a full, and happy summer vacation, I made a plan.

In the aspect of learning in the first place. Because I read too much time, so in the summer vacation I want to read some books more, ensure to read 1 hours a day, and to "engagement" and the book. Every day recite an ancient even, to write a diary, practice calligraphy for 20 minutes. In order to let my English improved, I will read English for 15 minutes. On the basis of doing these, at the end of the holidays in order to I learn more easily, Im ready to prepare the grade five major courses.

当然，要做好这些健康是最重要的，所以为了完成我的计划，我要每天坚持锻炼，或骑自行车、或游泳、或散步。

既然制定了计划，就要按计划完成，如果不按计划完成，就等于白制定。所以我一定要认真完成自己制定的计划，不敷衍了事。

As the fertilized prairie stretches around the habitants as far as the eyes can see, most people live on animal husbandry, raising sheep, goats, cattle and growing a special kind of plant called Qingke. On account of the unique climate, people often wear warm and comfortable boots in winter, and they are always dressed in delicate robes which are made of the fur of sheep. Often they take off one sleeve of the clothes and tie it around their waists in order to work easily and use it as warm quilts at night.

Both men and women there like wearing silver ornaments, which look very mysterious and full of magical power. And they are good at singing and dancing, and the men there can have braids too. When they meet an important guest, they will present him or her a Hada, a piece of long white silk cloth to show their respect. And they will also treat the guest to a special kind of drink called Suyou Tea, which some people find hard to enjoy.

Besides, the habitants have developed both their own written and spoken languages, and the long poems they wrote play an important role in Chinese literature. And there are many well-protected culture relics as well, taking the grand Budala Palace as an example. It is a historical museum as well as an art treasury, where people can share their spirit belief in Buddhism and get artistic entertainment of the carved paintings and the beautifully-written chirographies.

The Tibetan ethnic group is also famous for its strange custom in funeral. Thinking that the soul belongs to the sky after a person dies, they usually put the body on a platform outdoors, spray on it and wait the condors to come to eat the body. In this way, they believe the soul goes up to the sky.

The Tibetan Minority is brimming over with deep emotions. The people there are very zealous and hospitable and they live freely and happily on the spacious grassland. Their history and culture contribute to the diversity of China, so we certainly should protect them and get them popularized and let them receive great respect they deserve.

I think reading is important in the whole life for people. There are many

benefits of reading.

without going out. Secondly, reading is a good way to improve reading and

Family feast is an important tradition during Thanksgiving. The entire family sits at the table during dinner and offer prayer to the Lord Almighty for his continuous grace. It is also a time for relatives living in different places to come together and celebrate.

Tradition of Turkey

The traditional stuffed turkey adorns every dinner table during the feast. Pumpkin pie, Cranberry sauce, Corns are some of the dishes cooked everywhere to mark the day. Though historians don’t have an evidence to prove that turkey was eaten during the first Thanksgiving dinner, but the thanksgiving celebration will be incomplete without it.

Parades

The traditional Thanksgiving parade probably started with President Lincoln proclaiming it an official day. The full- dress parade is a way to display the country’s military strength and discipline. The main aim of such parades is to lift the spirits of the spectators, provide them with wholesome entertainment. In the present day, parades are accompanied with musical shows and celebrities.

Football Games

Watching NFL football during Thanksgiving is a popular tradition. The traditional game between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers continues. One of the most memorable games having been played.

Should belong to me, my weekend is my time to rest over the weekend, the weekend is my time of entertainment, but, my mother told me the assignment of the weekend very desolate, let my weekend was not happy.

Have a weekend, because mom going to my grandmas on Saturday, didnt come back to the evening, I will take mom is not in time, to play, after about one hour, Im tired will go to the teacher assigned homework, after 50 minutes, Ill finish the homework by the teacher, I have a look at the time, is going to eat lunch, but I havent written mother for my homework, I think, was watching TV, look for an hour, I will go for lunch, I ate two bowls of rice, will go to take a nap, wake up all three 29 minutes, I write the mother to my homework quickly, just finished, mother just came back, I show my mother a job quickly, mother looked, said good, I this finally passed.

Sometimes my weekend is happy, sometimes sad, I hope all the students have their own weekend, rather than managed by others.

My teacher gave me an assignment "experience life" last week. I had been thinking how to finish it because I had never done any thing by myself before.

Mother was out today. It was a good chance to complete the assignment. Seeing the barrel was empty, I decided to fetch water from the well.

I took the empty barrel and went towards the well outside the yard. It snowed yesterday, so the alley was very slippery. A layer of thickice was frozen on the platform of the well. I was frightened by the sight, but I gathered my courage to walk towards it.

The alley was so slippery that I walked with difficultly. Suddenly, I slipped and fell down, water in the barrel totally poured down on the ground. I stepped on the platform carefully. After standing steadily and squatting down slowly, I hooked the barrel at the end of the rope and put the rope down slowly. I made an effort to drag the barrel up after it was filled with water. I was very careful because it was easy to slip and fall. Then, I carried the barrel of water and returned to my house. My figners were frozen stiff. I realized my effort was in vain. I hated myself.

I failed to finish the assignment but I did experience life through a trifle which seemed easy but difficult to do well. Such was my first experience of life.

Thank you for a rapid response to our invitation. Enclosed you will find an outline of events to take place during International Week here at the University of Montana. I will also list a number of possible speaking engagements so that you can choose those things in which you are most interested. As far as topics are concerned, the topics for classroom visits are generally determined by the professor, but most professors are very flexible. We have approximately thirty-five faculty members that teach courses in Asian Studies, ranging from language and culture to history and economics.

10 am - Cultural Exhibition opens

12 am - International Festival begins with a speech by the university president and an introduction of visiting dignitaries

1-5 pm - Opportunity to visit festival, interact with student performers, taste foods

6 pm - Dinner with Director of Mansfield Center Phil West, Ambassador Mark Johnson, and staff of Mansfield Center

Summer Vacation

I enjoy summer vacation very much.

Because summer vacation is the longest vacation of the year.

We have more than fifty days to rest.

Though it is very hot, we can either go to swim or stay in the air-conditioned room .

In the evening, I like to go shopping with my friends.

We can eat many things in summer, such as ice creams, watermelons, grapes, and so on.

In summer, I always go on a trip with my parents.

Its a good chance for us to visit some nice interesting places.
