中共中央审议通过的《关于加快推进生态文明建设的意见》提出，必须加快推动生活方式绿色化，实现生活方式和消费模式向勤俭节约、绿色低碳、文明健康的方向转变。新《环境保护法》也明确规定：“公民应当增强环境保护意识，采取低碳、节俭的生活方式，自觉履行环境保护义务。”推动生活方式绿色化，是生态文明建设融入经济、政治、文化和社会建设的重要举措。当前，我国正处于加速实现工业化和城镇化的过程，随着物质条件极大改善，人们日常生活中一些不良生活方式和消费行为所造成的资源浪费和环境损害越来越严重，攀比、炫耀、浪费行为滋长，这些行为的环境代价是消耗更多资源能源，增排更多温室气体，所导致的环境问题已经成为制约全面建设小康社会的瓶颈。因此，积极倡导勤俭节约、绿色低碳、文明健康的生活方式和消费模式，大力推动人们消费理念和生活方式绿色化已经成为一项十分紧迫的任务。推动生活方式绿色化，需要人们自觉从衣、食、住、行各方面做出绿色选择，需要从改变消费理念、制定政策制度、推动全民行动和完善保障措施等多方面协调推进，需要建立政府引导、市场响应、公众参与、协调联动的运行保障长效机制;同时，推动生活方式绿色化。

把今年“环境日”主题确定为“践行绿色生活”，旨在通过“环境日”的集中宣传，广泛传播和弘扬“生活方式绿色化”理念，提升人们对“生活方式绿色化”的认识和理解，并自觉转化为实际行动;呼吁人人行动起来，从自身做起，从身边小事做起，减少超前消费、炫耀性消费、奢侈性消费和铺张浪费现象，实现生活方式和消费模式向勤俭节约、绿色低碳、文明健康的方向转变;呼应联合国环境署确定的世界环境日主题，形成宣传合力。

据了解，联合国环境规划署确定今年世界环境日主题为“可持续消费和生产”，口号为“七十亿人的梦想：一个星球关爱型消费”。

“环境日”期间，环境保护部将举办一系列宣传纪念活动，各地也将围绕“环境日”主题，开展丰富多彩的宣传纪念活动，汇聚全社会的力量，为推动生态文明建设和环境保护做出更大的贡献。

环境保护，这个话题，可以说是家喻户晓，人人皆知。但在现实生活中，一些人还是不太重视，认为微不足道，在我看来，环保要从件件小事做起。我就经历过这样两件小事：
