大熊猫基地，顾名思义就是养大熊猫的地方。因为天气热，怕热的大熊猫都躲到房间里去了。话说这大熊猫的居住条件可真不错，房间里不仅有空调，还有供它们玩乐的平台，地上放着新鲜的竹子供它们食用。而且一幢房子也就仅供两、三只大熊猫居住，真不亏是国宝级的待遇啊！

大熊猫们在饲养员的精心饲养下，个个都肥得像肉球一样。不论它们爬到哪儿，不论它们身在何处，都只能看到一个黑白的肉球在到处滚动。

假期我和父母去了成都大熊猫繁育研究基地。它位于成都北郊斧头山，距市区10公里。在基地里大约生活着70多头大熊猫，繁育基地是以造园的手法模拟大熊猫野外生活环境。

大熊猫是中国的“国宝”。但很久以前大熊猫在中国是一种很普通的动物。然而由于种种原因熊猫大量的死亡，所以它的数量也急剧下降。为了保护大熊猫，我们的国家做了很多事。其中建立研究基地不仅能让人类了解大熊猫的习性和特点，还可以帮它们建立自己的家园。

我们到达基地的时候天下着小雨，这样的天气最容易看到大熊猫出来活动了，因为大熊猫最喜欢凉爽的天气。跟着人流我们很快就到观赏区。一看到大熊猫那笨拙的身体，滑稽的样子大家既兴奋又开心。

熊猫有几分像熊还有几分像猫，胖胖的身体，肥肥的四肢。最大的特点是它们都戴着特大号“墨镜”。要不就是熊猫经常熬夜，出了黑眼圈吧。大熊猫的毛特别光滑，毛茸茸的耳朵不时的伸缩，好像在倾听什么。大熊猫的尾巴很像熊，脸像猫。活像一个二合一的动物。它们吃竹叶时很有趣，总是先用嘴把每条竹枝上的竹叶都咬下来，再用爪子把竹叶收集到厚厚一沓时一起吃。我看着它们左一口又一口，津津有味的竹叶，觉得太好玩了就情不自禁的叫了它们好几声，没想到它们连理都不理我，也许是吃的太入神了吧。就在我郁闷的时候看到它们吃完了竹子，用那肥肥的爪子擦了下嘴，我想这下该理我了吧，我就加大了嗓门大喊：“熊猫——！嗨！”结果这家伙居然只是不屑的瞥了我一眼就懒惰的躺了下去。这一幕让大家都大笑了起来。正当我撅嘴的时候大熊猫却突然的立了起来，用爪子摸着脑袋，用好奇的眼神看着游客好像在说：怎么了？有什么不对吗？接着又在地上翻了个筋斗，像个大皮球在地上滚动。看着它的这一系列动作我们更是笑得合不拢嘴了。

大熊猫虽然看着很笨拙，但我把它的笨拙当做可爱。它虽然不想狮子老虎那样威风，不想猴子那样灵活，但它却比狮子老虎温顺，比猴子憨厚，这就是大熊猫的可爱之处。
