If Hassan can be described as an angel, then Amir is just a person.when he is a boy,he is badly want fathers love and care.he will be jealous,he will fear and be cowardly.When he sees Hassan insulted by Assef,he is so scared that he only hides and watches.he sees what happened but keeps it as a secret.In order to escape the guilt,he makes another fault, making Hassan leave by framing Hassan .Years past, he is still haunted by betraying his childhood friend.

I was shocked when the big secret reveals: Hassan is Amirs half brother,the son of his father and a sevants wife! I like the author written style.Theres paragraghs of internal monologues,warm memorys , sad plots,horrible war scenes…the words,sentences always catch me tightly,make me think,make me cry…Now if someone ask me what novels impressed me most,The Kite Runner will be an answer.

It is the first time I have seen a novel in English.It is hard for me to insist on reading as there are so many words I have to look up.But it really benefit me in some way.

She was seduced by a so-called gentleman—Alec, and from then on her life totally changed from this loss of innocence. People looked down on her and respected her no more. Actually she did nothing wrong because before she was seduced she knew nothing of men. She was just a girl when she first met that terrible man.

My favorite book is wrote by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. I still remember the first time I read the book, I was like in a fantastic world. appears. The fox, who tell the little prince about the meaning of the word “tame”, becomes his new friend. At the time to say farewell, the fox makes him know that his rose is unique because she is his rose and tamed by him. From that the little prince begins to treasure friendship and be responsible to his rose. Then he chooses the venom of snake to end his life.painful but happy, he thinks he could lay aside the bulky body and go back.

I cried about the prince’s death. But I’m not sad. His life is so childish ,pure, and also sincere. And he must get his happy ending being with his rose finally. The plot is easy, but the deep meaning of the story is worth thinking . we have grown up as an adult, then we are gradually surrounded by meaningless figures and money. We live in a complex society , every day we must be faced with all kinds of person ,which made our heart more and more cold and detached. For me, society is a monster which could kill the pureness inside of my mind. I’m so grateful for reading this story. And from then on, I have a little prince live in my heart, and when I felt tired to face the society, he appeared and took me back to the clean and honest world that I’ve ever stayed in childhood. 书的主角是一位叫小王子的孩子，他是一个居住在B612小行星上的人，他希望去别处旅行、去探索。小王子在这次旅行中经历了6个小行星，他分别遇到了骄傲自大的国王、无所事事的酒鬼、每日忙碌的生意人、安慕虚荣的人、思想顽固的地理学家和不满自己职业的点灯人。小王子遇到的每一个人都要工作，小王子认为他们的生活很无聊，于是他拼命挣脱，不断的从一颗行星到下一颗行星去探索。他最后来到了地球上，在地球上，他遇到了蛇、三枚花瓣的沙漠花、狐狸等等，他在地球上经历了种种前所未有的情况后，最后还是在蛇的帮助下回到了自己的小行星。

我觉得书中最有意思的是那个点灯人居住的行星，因为那个行星一昼夜只有一分钟的时间，所以他一分钟就要点亮一次灯。也许会有许多人像小王子一样认为他的工作很无聊，是在浪费时间，可是我却认为点灯人的工作是一种坚持，他用自己的坚持去为别人提供帮助，这难道不值得我们去学习吗？

汤姆是一个顽皮、天真并且十分活泼的孩子，但在大人的眼里他同时也是一个不折不扣的坏孩子，他调皮、喜欢恶作剧、逃学这些自然是家常便饭，不仅这样，他捣蛋的方法还一次比一次厉害，让人琢磨不透，防不胜防。他虽然是一个很坏很坏的孩子，但也会做出让人捧腹大笑的事情：被罚粉刷墙壁，竟能想出好办法让小伙伴替他完成，并让小伙伴们拿各种各样的食物和玩具来跟他换一次刷墙的机会。这样一来，汤姆不光悠闲自在，而且一下子就收获了很多礼物。

初听得《小王子》这个书名，还以为是本薄薄的童话，没想到竟是如此让我留恋，看到小王子，使我想起正在从身上流失的一些东西……同时也告诉我木讷这些曾经是孩子的大人们，它提醒我们那些最简单的快乐和最纯朴的情感，告诉我们快乐的来源，我喜欢《小王子》，正是因为它接近了人们的心底这是一个成人的童话，是应该用整整一生去体会的的童话，每次读它，我的感触都是不尽相同的，小孩子可以从里面找到可爱的狐狸、羞涩但坚强的花、奸诈的蛇;青年人可以从里面找到更深层些的东西——永恒而执著的爱，对驯养的理解;中年人可以从中找到生活，比如天文学家、国王和地理学家，还有点灯人;老年人可以从里面找到生命，特别是对人生的看法和理解，比如小王子的死亡，对死亡的态度。

It is a pagan poem, which presents us an all-round picture of the tribal society.

这几天，我抽出时间，把王子与贫儿这本书看完了。下面和大家谈谈我的感受。

首先，我觉得这本书很好看，虽然是简写，但是细节的描写还是很多的，其次，故事简短，但很有趣。

这本书的主要内容是，一个乞丐和王子出生在同一天，然后在王宫中碰见，由此便换了衣服，阴差阳错，身份不料也被互换，王子穿的乞丐的衣服到处被排挤，嫌弃，而穿着王子，衣服的乞丐，却很享福，在王宫中被伺候着，结果当上了国王。当国王的乞丐很尽职尽责，办了许多帮助人的事，而被百姓爱戴，最后王子和乞丐在王宫中相遇后变成了好朋友。

这本书，我最喜欢乞丐汤姆，因为他当上了国王后不但没有骄傲，反而办了对国家有意义的事。汤姆在办答案是讲究公平、公正、公开，不像有些没良心的国王直接判死刑，汤姆很善良，也很正直，在办案时特意自己聪明的脑子解决了这个案件。

我最不喜欢书中的约翰，它是汤姆的父亲。他凶狠残暴，而且经常打汤姆，在第四章时，约翰王子任城汤姆，不但打了王子，他把一个牧师打死了。然后打死了还不承认，还要改名换姓，所以我特别讨厌约翰。

书中有很多激动人心的情节，还有悬疑类的问题，我很喜欢这本书，这本书也告诉我了一个人生的道理，做事不要爱慕虚荣，不要像约翰那样。做事要努力，不能半途而废，要像王子和乞丐那样。虽然都有自己的梦想，但经过自己的不懈努力，最终都能成功。

To Regain the Nature of Goodness

—— Review of ‘Oliver Twist

Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century.

The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London.

The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.

How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I dont think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.

For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.

To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. They look down on peoples honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. They are one of the sorts that I really detest.

Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.

That is to say a person without goodness is destined to lose everything. Therefore, I, a kind person, want to tell those vermin-to-be to learn from the kind Oliver and regain the nature of goodness.
