the option of refusing to hear the sonic boom produced by a supersonic

aircraft-flying overhead; we do not have the option of refusing to breathe

polluted air. Unlike science, progress in technology must be our slave and not

the reverse. The legitimate purpose of technology is to serve peopie--people in

general, not merely some people; and future generations, not merely those who

presently wish to gain advantage for themselves.

We are all familiar with the abuses of technology. Many people blame

technology itself for widespread pollution, resource depletion and even social

decay in general--so much so that the promise of technology is obscured. That

promise is a cleaner and healthier world. If wise applications of science and

technology do not lead to a better world, what else will?

During the National Day, our family went to Yunfu Mountain Hot Springs.

To the hot springs, we swim for swimsuit. 来到学校，没过一会儿就开始最激动人心的庆祝“六一儿童节了”!拿着凳子来到操场上，那儿熙熙攘攘的，大家都迫不及待地要看精彩的表演几个节目过后，迎来了大家期盼已久的“跆拳道表演”。场上爆发出了雷鸣般的掌声。开始了，我连续一、两分钟都不想眨眼，聚精会神地盯着他们，一点儿也不感到酸痛。四(一)的以为晋级到红带的队员，飞起一脚，把那一块木板踢得四分五裂，其中一块木板还飞了四、五米高呢!这些事情对于跆拳道教练来说似乎司空见惯!

精彩的空翻还在后面呢!两位教练一人一块木板，当地三个教练一个空翻，木板顿时四分五裂，绣着“六一快乐”的彩布也随之落下，而掌声也一浪高过一浪。

舞蹈队的表演也很精彩，令大家打开眼界高难度的动作对她们来说似乎已经熟能生巧，动作既标准又一致，配合的紧密有加!没有一点儿的差错。

这次六一儿童节，在我的脑海中是永远也不能忘掉的，因为在六年的小学生涯中，只有六次儿童节，不增，也不减。最后一个六一儿童节，谁能不珍惜这美好的童年时光呢?

一年一度的六一儿童节又来到了我的身边。每当它到来的时候我既开心又兴奋，因为我又可以拥有属于自己的快乐了。

在属于自己的节日里，妈妈陪着我来到了福利院。刚进院门就听见一阵银铃般的笑声，我迫不及待地跑了进去，可看到的却是一个个身有残疾的他们，我被惊触了，久久的站在原地，直到福利院的阿姨们热情的把我迎进屋里。
