Dear Tom,

Im just writing to let you know that were all well, and I hope you are, too. Unfortunately, Ive got some rather bad news for you: Im afraid I made a bit of a mess of Johns car. Anyway, heres what happened.

We were on our way to Carols after a long party, and I suppose it must have been about eleven o’clock. Well, the last few miles back home were really dark and deserted. I now realize I was probably going a bit too fast for a country lane because, although the road was fairly straight, I drove up onto the curb and went into a tree.

Of course, John was absolutely furious and started shouting at me and cursing. After we d argued for a few moments, we decided to look at the damage, and he calmed down a bit. Well, we found we could move the car, but the wing was caught on the wheel, so we couldnt drive it. I tried to pull the wing clear, but I didnt succeed.

Anyway, John went off to phone for a breakdown lorry, but while he was away, I had another go at the wing and this time succeeded in pulling it right off. I threw it onto the back seat, and by that time John got back and we were ready to go?so we didnt need the breakdown lorry at all. John has more or less forgiven me now, but he was very angry with me for a few days. I suppose I was a bit careless.

“恭喜，恭喜，恭喜你呀 ”每当这首歌响起，我的脑海里就浮现出今年过春节时的喜庆场面。

大年三十那天，家家户户喜气洋洋，大人有的贴着春联，有的在厨房里烧着美味家肴，小孩子更是欢快的嬉戏着，还有的已经放起了鞭炮，大街小巷也洋溢着一幅欢天喜地的模样，商店的门窗都贴着一只只憨态可掬的小老虎，神态好象在向大家拜年。

吃年夜饭咯！吃完丰盛的年夜饭就开始欣赏精彩的春节晚会了，时间随着和谐欢快的春节晚会，不知不觉走到了零点时分，外面鞭炮“噼噼啪啪”响了起来，我兴奋地跳了起来，拉着爸爸，带着买好的鞭炮，下楼放了起来。

爸爸先拿起一个“春雷炮” 放了起来，只听“隆”的一声，烟花飞上了天。在空中，烟花就像向四周撒满无数的晶莹艳丽的珍珠一般，天空顿时明亮起来。再往高处看，天空中不但有我们的烟花，还有别人放的烟花，真是千姿百态，有的像怒放的菊花，有的像流星雨……美丽极了。

星期四上午，一位来自加拿大的老师给我们上了一节快乐的英语课。

上课铃响了，这位长着满头金发的外籍老师走进了我们班的教室。同学兴奋极不已，热情地向老师问好，教室里热闹极了！

课堂上，同学们聚精会神，老师教的每一个字母，我们都认真地读，老师说的每一句话，我们都认真地听。这节课，老师教了我们“笑”、“哭”、“想”等很多英语动词，还教我们给单词配上了有趣的动作，我们很感兴趣，每个人都学得津津有味。

春节是喜庆的，今年的春节是环保的，新气象新习俗。 The Spring Festival is festive. This years Spring Festival is environmentally friendly, new weather and new customs.

今年春节，村里禁止燃放烟花和爆竹，整个春节期间，村里没有一处燃放烟花和爆竹，相比以前确实缺少了一点过年的气氛，但是整个乡村依然喜庆不减，而且，今年春节还给我们还带来了有史以来春节期间最清洁环保的空气。

The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival of the han. It is a very important festival in our hometown, so every year the Dragon Boat Festival is very busy.

The Dragon Boat Festival is the most indispensable, nature is zongzi, every year the grandmother of the Dragon Boat Festival and everyone will pack hundreds of big dumplings! There are many kinds of dumplings, such as reed leaves, bamboo shoots, wild leaves and lotus leaves. But our hometown is a lot of reeds, so most of them are wrapped in reeds. First, grandma "rate the army" to pick reed leaves. When picking reed leaves, a large family listens to grandmothers labor trumpet: "come on! A zongzi three leaf! 端午节最不可少的，自然是粽子，每年端午节外婆和大家都会包上几百个大粽子呢!包粽子虽然有很多种，比如芦苇叶、竹笋叶、菰叶、藕叶等。但我们的家乡是芦苇比较多，所以大多都用芦苇叶包了。首先，外婆“率兵”去采芦苇叶。采芦苇叶时，一大家子听着外婆的劳动号子：“加油!一个粽子三片叶子!上百个粽子几千片，嘿哟，加油!”听了“将军”的鼓劲，“小兵”们更加卖力了!采完芦苇叶，现在只要将它们暴晒就行了。但准备材料可没有这么简单哟，还得去集市上买来上好的红豆、猪肉、花生、板粟、蜜枣与糯米，还要买红线呢!

当然，最好玩的时候还是包粽子的时候。包粽子时，男人负责把肉切成不大不小的块儿;女人负责洗红豆、糯米之类的;小孩负责把大盆洗干净，再把大人加工好的东西装在大盆里;而老人们则负责指挥。一切准备好之后，就开始包粽子了。大人们干得格外卖力，而小孩们呢?却在一旁玩着，总是在大人们不注意时，偷一两颗蜜枣往嘴里塞，表面上似乎一点儿事都没做，可心里却暗暗自喜——因为蜜枣太好吃了!

最后一步就是煮粽子，烧火的外公总是把火候把握的很好，味道很香、很浓，如果在第一时间内吃粽子，你看到的肉粽子总是嫩地流油，看到的蜜枣粽子总是金黄柔嫩;看到的八宝粽子总是很可口，我们可爱吃了。

去年，要不是为了去盐城替舅舅、舅妈照顾表哥，外公外婆可能在包粽子哩。我突然有些“厌恶”舅舅、舅妈，他们家的经济条件不错，为什么不找个保姆?把我的欢乐端午节和粽子都“夺走了”，我好生气呀!也好怀念那味香色美的粽子呀!

晚上，吃过年夜饭，我到电视机前看《春节联欢晚会》，看到一半突然觉得这样很没趣，太过平凡罢。于是独自一人走到家里的楼顶，端着咖啡坐在椅子上，眺望远处的风景。我想追寻热闹气氛中属于我自己的那一份宁静。又是一个星晴夜，繁星点亮除夕夜的精彩，悄悄向世人诉说新春的故事，将天上的祝福洒向人间。月牙儿笑弯了嘴，叫人去感受嫦娥的欢欣。一切都是静的，却从那星星调皮的眉目传情中，洋溢出不平静的喜悦与心动。

当悠扬的钟声刚响过12下，在中华大地上，不管是城镇还是乡村，都要打开大门迎接财神。“噼里啪啦”的鞭炮齐声轰鸣，万家竞放。真是“爆竹声声辞旧岁，鞭炮阵阵迎新年。”爷爷把成捆的炮竹在家门口围成圈，点燃了黑色的引线，过了一会儿，只听雷鸣般的声音响彻长空，然后在似乎与天相近的地方骤然开放。

霎时，黑夜如同白昼，天空中金雨纷纷，银花朵朵，仿佛是碧波银浪，雪里红梅，又像巨龙腾飞，金蛇狂舞，一会儿，一根根细如柳红;一会儿像夜空开放的昙花;一会儿成了密密麻麻的芝麻……瞧!远处那户人家又把烟花点燃了，那焰花绚丽多彩，变化多端。

似乎是满天繁星，银光熠熠。又像一朵牡丹，光彩照人。天空出现好多色彩，红的似火，白的像雪，绿的似玉，粉的像霞，黄的似金……令人眼花缭乱。远处的鞭炮、烟花双管齐下，一个个直冲夜空，在空中翩翩起舞，这边的声音弱了，那边的又起来了，声音此起彼伏，连绵不绝。鞭炮声、炮仗声汇成一股欢快和谐的交响乐，为这无边的夜景又增添了一道亮丽的风景线。

望着五彩缤纷的夜幕，我不禁想起了安徒生笔下的卖火柴的小女孩，在除夕之夜里因寒冷和饥饿而死。我们有无数难忘的日子，最难忘的是年年的除夕;无论有多少快乐的日子，最快乐的是年年的相聚。春节是“时间和希望的大门”，无论过去怎样，我坚信明天清晨我的家乡贺州会像初升的朝霞一样灿烂!

不同的人喜欢不同的节日，比如，大人喜欢中秋节、七夕节、劳动节、情人节……而我们小朋友们却喜欢儿童节、元旦节、国庆节、春节……

我最喜欢的就是春节了，因为春节快到了就意味着寒假到了，因为每到春节我就能吃到自己动手包的饺子！每次包饺子的时候，妈妈总催我快去洗手，洗了手围好围裙，我迫不及待的跑到妈妈事先准备好的材料旁边准备大展身手。首先要把饺子皮拿出来摊在我的左手上，我学着妈妈的样子拿起筷子挑出妈妈准备好的肉馅放在饺子皮的正当中，再在饺子皮的周围沾点水，最后把饺子皮对折过来捏紧，但是我不管怎么样都做不出像妈妈那样做的好看，我努力学妈妈的做法，当我做出好看点儿的饺子妈妈就 鼓励我说“你真厉害！”就这样，我 越做越好看了，做出有我自己特色的花式饺子。

当煮的时候，我就谗言欲滴了，盯着锅里的饺子窜来窜去的，我饿的更热锅上的蚂蚁一样。不一会儿，饺子熟了，妈妈盛了一碗我自己包的饺子端给我，我急的大口大口地吃了起来，快吃完的时候，我就听到外面响起了鞭炮声，我忙和爸爸出去买了 一大堆的鞭炮，各种各样的，我挑选出一个圆锥型的鞭炮来玩，把鞭炮放在门前的空地上，在爸爸的帮助下我先点了火，急忙和爸爸跑的远远的，堵住自己的耳朵，当爆出来的时候就“啪”；的一声炸开了，烟火冲上天，就像一朵朵美丽的菊花在天空中闪烁着。

今天除夕，我们一家人欢聚在一起吃团圆饭。

吃过晚饭，爸妈他们忙着挂灯笼、贴对联，也少不了我买的鞭炮，有坦克、星球大战、熊猫爬竿等。天色一暗，我点燃了一个坦克，吸引了许多小朋友，我一下又串到那边看看，有圆的、方的、长的各式各样。不一会儿，天空出现了一道亮丽的风景，仿佛穿上了绚丽多彩的衣裳呢。还有那团烟雾在空中随风飘动，就好像仙女在跳舞一样。时不时发出小朋友们的嘻笑声，还有震耳的鞭炮声，就像是给它伴奏呢。真的好美啊!

要是天天这样，不仅玩的开心还有压岁钱，那多好啊!

When I was picking up my stuff after school， I saw a dog staring at me at the school gate .I was kind of scary. I thought the dog would bite me when I was going out. But it was not. The dog started to follow me. I was very afraid. I started to run away， but the dog did it， either. Suddenly， the dog ran pass away me. I realized the man in front of me was the owner of the dog. I was relieved.

From then on， as long as a dog stares at me， I will look back to have a look whether there is another person near or not.
