christmas arouses increasing attention year by year in china. christmas cards become popular with students. people hold christmas parties and exchange christmas girts. a lot or tv and radio programs about christmas are on. meanwhile the spring festival is less appealing (有吸引力的)to youngsters. thus some people wonder whether christmas will replace the spring festival.

March 5th is my birthday.Its also a special day to memorize a great person

-- Lei Feng. This year I celebrated my birthday in a different way. In the

morning, I got up early and cooked breakfast for my parents. At school, I helped

除夕要吃分岁酒。分岁，意新年旧年就此而分。按道理，分岁酒应在晚上，可现在不同了。但应有的菜肴一样不少：必有的鸡、鱼、猪，修正结子的花生、象征大吉的柑橘、象征家门清洁的豆腐，还有早早晒好的酱油肉。在这一天，家家赶做年菜，到处是酒肉的香味，男女老少都穿起新衣。在外地的人，除非万不得已，必定赶回家来吃分岁酒。分岁酒上大家举杯欢庆，恭贺新春。分岁酒结束后，除了哭着闹着要睡觉的以及在酒席上会周公的小孩，其他人都不睡觉，都要守岁。

虽然晚上不睡觉，但第二天还是要在凌晨起来，开门打响开门炮。先放一串小鞭炮，再发三发双响炮。意为解除一年的疠疫灾晦。此时全城一片鞭炮声，噼里啪啦，好不热闹!接下来便可好好的睡觉了，初一不拜年。

从初二开始，便是接连不断的拜年了。直到元宵，在又一次吃了汤圆后，春节便结束了。文/章同

Yesterday, I asked my mother to buy me some candies. It was my favorite

white rabbit rolls. When my mother bought it for me, I ate a little and hided

the rest. I was going to bring them to school to give them to my primary school

deskmate, Xiao Fang, because today is white day. I want to give present to her

to make her happy on this special day. I will give the candies to her later.
