村里有个人叫高亮，他是一名伐木哭，常年在这片拥有茂密丛林的小树林里医护村子里每天至少要砍20至30多棵树。已知啄木鸟每次看到他来砍树，都一直告诫她不要砍树，枯黄在一天天扩大，小啄木鸟的家也被他砍没了。之后离开了这片树林，后来领水土流失，从而引发大洪水，一个村子都被淹没了，包括高亮在内。

这则故事告诉我们：

这一个个美丽的环境是祖辈用双手保护才得来的，不能随意破坏他们，否则后果不堪设想，所以我们要珍惜资源，保护环境。
