Man and His Environment

Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to improve his way of life. With the tools of technology he has altered many physical features of the earth. He has transformed woodlands and prairies into farms and made lakes and reserviors out of rivers for irrigation purposes or hydroelectric power. Man has also modified the face of the earth by draining marshes and cutting through mountains to build roads and railways.

However, mans changes to the physical environment have not always had beneficial results. Today, pollution of the air and water is an increasing danger to the health of the planet. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. 我镇各村的街道都已放置垃圾桶，街道也有专人清扫，我们的街道会越来越干净，我们的生活环境会越来越美好。为共同创造洁净、优美的生活环境，在此，我们倡议：

一、树立“保护环境从我做起、从点滴做起”的理念，养成正确投放垃圾的良好行为习惯。

二、村民朋友相互宣传、相互监督，对乱扔垃圾行为积极劝导，营造全体村民共同维护美好生活环境的良好氛围。

三、保洁员是捍卫环境的天使，我们要尊重保洁员的辛勤劳动成果，自觉做到生活垃圾投入垃圾桶。

四、不乱扔垃圾，具体做到：不向垃圾桶里投放明火和未燃烧完的灰烬；不向垃圾桶里倾倒污水；不向垃圾桶里倾倒建筑类垃圾、工业垃圾以及农业废物。

洁净环境靠你、靠我、靠大家！让我们立即行动起来，从我做起，从点滴做起，共同维护我们美好的生活环境，为共同打造洁净宜居、舒适优美的居住环境尽出自己的一份力！
