From the eaves and fences hang stalactites of snow, and in the yard stand stalagmites covering some concealed core. The trees and shrubs rear white arms to the sky on every side;and where were walls and fences, we see fantastic forms stretching in frolic gambols. across the dusky landscape, as if Nature had strewn her fresh designs over the fields by night as models for mans art.

我们也睡着了，一觉醒来，正是冬天的早晨。万籁无声，雪厚厚的堆着，窗槛上像是铺了温暖的棉花;窗格子显得加宽了，玻璃上结了冰纹，光线暗淡而静，更加强了屋内的舒适愉快的感觉。早晨的安静，似乎静在骨子里，我们走到窗口，挑了一处没有冰霜封住的地方，眺望田野的景色;可是我们单是走这几步路，脚下的地板已经在吱吱地响。窗外一幢幢的房子都是白雪盖顶;屋檐下、篱笆上都累累地挂满了雪条;院子里像石笋似站了很多雪柱，雪里藏的是什么东西，我们却看不出来。大树小树四面八方地伸出白色的手臂，指向天空;本来是墙壁篱笆的地方，形状更是奇怪，在昏暗的大地上面，它们向左右延伸，如跳如跃，似乎大自然一夜之间，把田野风景重新设计过，好让人间的画师来临摹。

我的朋友

My best friend is Mary. She lives in a tall building. She lives on the fifth floor. Everyday she takes the lift up and down. She is twelve years old. She is tall and thin. She has short black hair，two big eyes and a small mouth. She is very cute. I like playing with her. We are in the same class. I like to read books but she likes playing games. She likes to eat popcorn and ice creams. I like them， too. Her favourite food is fish， so she is clever. She loves her cat. She often plays with her. The cat likes Mary，too. They are cute.

这篇是讲述我的好朋友玛丽。介绍她的住址，她住在一幢高楼里。她住在五楼。她的年龄，她十二岁。她的外貌，她又高又瘦。她有短的黑色的头发，两只大眼睛和一个小嘴巴。

一大早起来，天空阴沉沉的。我想：“今天，这是怎么了，白云怎么变成铅灰色的了，以前都是白色的，难道……”突然，我感觉脸上凉丝丝的。啊！，下雪了！

起初小雪粒像白砂糖似的落在地上，“啪啦” “啪啦”的响着，真像一首雪之交响曲。过了一会儿，小雪粒变身了，变成了小雪花，小雪花在空中飘舞着，好像许多小精灵。

又过了一会，小雪花变胖了，变成了六角形的。远远望去，那漫天飞舞的雪花，像蒲公英一样扬扬洒洒的从空中慢慢飘落下来。不过多长时间，大地一片洁白。雪花落到汽车上，汽车戴上了一顶厚厚的大帽子，帽子把汽车的眼睛蒙住了，看都看不见。雪花来到了草地上，它送给小草一张棉被。雪花落到了树枝上，枝条变成白色的了，像一个个水晶条，看到这，不禁让我想起了“六出飞花入户时，坐看青竹变琼枝”真美呀！抬头放远望去，整个世界洁白无瑕，好似一个冰雪王国。

雪来到了田野，干渴的麦苗，汲取着雪的养份，来年肯定又是一个丰收年。大人、孩子们在这里堆雪人、打雪仗、做游戏······玩的可开心了，田野里久久回荡着他们的欢声笑语。

雪，你给大地带来了洁白，给我们带来了欢乐。我爱你！
