但如何能盈利，并不容乐观。而其中首先要面对的，就是作为公共自行车的损坏、偷盗与故意破坏等问题。

公用物品，必然有损耗。之前，我想象的是，共享自行车有一部分是无可避免的常规损坏，例如，日晒雨淋，折旧，偶尔的小型事故。一部分是对人性的合理恶估，包括极低比率的偷盗或损毁。就像开架超市一样，这可预估的，可以预先打入成本估算当中。

可现实却非如此。结合之前媒体的种种报道，才明白这个社会的恶毒含量远远高于可预测值。比如说，把共享自行车扛回家或锁进楼道里，把共享车放进汽车后尾箱开到另一城市使用，把它加两把锁收归自己独享，把它粉刷了另一种颜色、加上儿童坐椅专用。

又比如，把共享自行车砸烂的，拆掉车头、坐椅、脚踏的，把轮子卸掉的，把车子扔在河里的，把车子挂树上的，把几十上百辆共享车堆在废墟里无法使用的。

还有人把坐椅上插上针，谁用就坑谁;有的大爷大妈们直接把共享车用绳子围起来，每次使用就交一块钱给他们……至于把二维码刮掉，把芯片损坏，把号牌拆了，简直就不值一提了。

我不得不认为，共享自行车在中国的推广，非常不合时宜。之所以超市、书店可以开架，是因为其选购商品全程处于监控之下，还有一个出入门的警铃，商品的单件价值也相对不高;一旦偷东西，罪责十分鲜明。因此风险可控。而自行车，整个城市天高任鸟飞，高使用率才能分摊自行车的成本;一旦严格管理，限定使用区域，共享自行车就失去了存在的意义。为了防止这些道德风险，需要极高的管理水平，精确的控制;而一旦投入精力去精准管理了，这个成本就太高了。

在没有设计出有效管理的技术手段之前，这种共享带给社会的收益会远远小于其投入。

它所照出的这些妖孽，很多已经脱离了“没公德”的范畴了，一部分人相当于盗窃，另一部分人则是属于破坏公共财物。只不过金额大小问题而已。但在“共享”这面旗帜下，违法成本极低。共享共享，我也有份享用啊;我拿走了一辆自行车而己，难道你还能把我抓起来?隔壁的张三这样干，李四也这样干，他们都没事，你凭什么说我?

这种没有监管，全靠每个人自觉的“共享经济”，不啻于把小鱼干摆在猫的面前，却禁止它吃。广州这样的大城市，一千七百万人，只需十万分之一的人“素质低”，那么，共享就会失败。

不要考验人性。凡是考验人性的产品，很快都会笑不出来了。

这二十多年来，素质低、没有公德心这种负面评价，就如中国人的附骨之蛆一样，一时半会儿很难摆脱。破坏共享自行车这样的公共财物如此，插队、随地吐痰、闯红灯、乱穿马路、乱涂乱画、随地大小便、欺凌服务人员等等，也如此;现在有了网络，由这些不守小道德引起的小纠纷，更是经常演变成“素质大讨论”，最后变成嘲讽的大合唱。

中国人的“素质”当然不是这二三十年来才突然变差的。只不过以前在封闭与极端贫穷的时候，这些细枝末节不值得去计较;如今富裕了，公共空间多了，有了对比，方才觉得格外地刺目。

其实我很怕用“素质论”这样的词。这意味着，这赋予了一些人拥有裁决权，它有权力把人遴选为“高素质的”与“低素质的”;同时，可以分配给“低素质者”更少的权利，因为他不配享有。这里就会变成这个裁决权在谁手里，他如何分配权利问题了。

但实际上，大量的所谓“低素质者”，并不是与生俱来的，而是社会环境鼓励与怂恿的结果，是无规则、无是非、无法律的结果;他们是社会培养出来的。扭转这些人的“素质”，甚至不需要长期的教育，只要严格地按照法律法规执行，结结实实地让破坏公共道德的人付了代价，他们的逆毛马上会顺过来，服服帖帖了。

几乎我们日常看到的各种各样的没有公德心的“缺德事”，肇始者理直气壮，无不是因为这两个原因：一，“很多人都这么做”，集体当中没有是非;二，做的人基本上不受惩罚，无需付出代价。

就像前两天，有清洁工刮花了别人的豪车还满地撒泼，说没钱，最后该赔几千的只赔了500元，还有网友批评这司机不仁慈，本不该拿赔偿。——当然，你也可以说这位撒泼的女性“素质低”，但这种“素质低”，是特定环境下理性选择的结果：不守交通规则、颠倒是非是有效的，还可以降低犯错成本。这一定律常年发挥作用，行人乱穿马路，“凑齐七个就一起闯红灯”，电动车、自行车随意穿插变道闯红灯，因为行人再不守交通规则汽车也不敢撞过来啊。而敢闯红灯的司机绝对没有那么多。真的因为开车者素质高吗?不，因为电子眼看得牢、罚得重，一旦出了事故更是罚到倾家荡产，把牢底坐穿。

到了最后，那些在路边等绿灯、守规则的行人，看着一拔又一拔的闯红灯的人都过了马路了，免不了怀疑自己是不是搞错了。这样的情况只要发生多次，很自然就学会闯红灯了。

社会公德这种事，是靠遵守出来的，是靠判别是非、处理公正培养出来的，而不是靠解散“低素质”人群、天降“高素质”人群得来的。

在不同的场景之下，高素质与低素质是有可能转换的。当然，最好的那一部分自律的人能在任何情形之下都慎独;但不可否认，更多的人的行为是与周遭环境的反应是一致的。就像勒庞在《乌合之众》里说的一样，“在孤立的情况下，他可能是个有教养的人，但在一个群体当中，他是一个野蛮人，也是一个行为受本能支配的动物。”

这种身份切换，与中国社会普遍存在的“从众心理”与“法不责众”的心态密切相关。因为个人的行为权责非常明确;而集体中责任是分散的，不明确的，所以可以恣意地不负责。一旦群体中的人犯了错，会被分摊到群体中的所有人身上;所有人都有责任，也就等于所有人都没有责任。

就如共享自行车的损毁，只要没抓现行，每一个个人的责任，被化解到成千上万个城市居民手中了。当他加入了没有责任感的群体，并预判自己不会受到惩罚时，便就完全地释放了自己野蛮与破坏性的本能。

如果不给“法不责众”以机会，来一个罚一个，来一双罚一双，把每个人从“群体”当中剥离出来，每个人都必须独立地为自己行为负责，实际上，这些基于“闯红灯”而临时结成的“违规共同体”，便不攻自灭。

(昨天，一位月入过万的研究生毕业的白领，把共享车刷上漆、安上坐椅，被拘留14天。)

并不是说西方发达国家的人天然就“素质高”，人家只不过不喜欢集体生活与集体主义，也难享受到集体氛围带来的催眠一样的野性唤起而已。另一方面，人家对违反社会公德的行为，该罚就罚，毫不手软，大大地提高了干缺德事的风险。

共享经济这种事，不能指望全民忽然提高素质;只能建立起良好有效的追踪与惩罚机制，只要盗用与损毁的，都能得到严厉追究甚至法律制裁，那么，还用担心使用者素质不高吗?

我非常喜欢读书，在我家的书架上，放着满满的课外书，有：《三国演义》、《水浒传》、《西游记》、《假如给我三天光明》……

我时时刻刻都在读书，吃饭的时候读，睡觉之前读，，每天做完作业读，就连上学的路上我也边走边读。因此，妈妈给我起了个绰号，叫做“书虫”。

我最近在读一本书，叫做《昆虫记》。它的作者是法国著名的昆虫学家法布尔。《昆虫记》是法布尔经过十几年的细心观察、研究，所写的一本昆虫图鉴。

《昆虫记》里的一些昆虫的生活习性令我十分感兴趣。我还学会了做笔记。做笔记即锻炼了我的记忆力，也增强了我的理解能力。

读这本《昆虫记》我用的是攻读法。我每周看一章，看完一遍之后，我还会再仔仔细细的去看一遍，并从中找到自己以前忽略的东西。

读完了这本《昆虫记》，我心想：这本《昆虫记》一定是法布尔用了自己毕生的心血写成的。

In my point of view, pop songs should not be banned. True, their tunes are simple and sometimes repetitious, but this is not to say that they are of no artistic value. Folk songs are also quite simple in tune but no one could dismiss them as trash songs. There is no denying that some pop songs are equally excellent. Why? Because they are widely sung and widely remembered. For example, "Yesterday" is of high artistic value. No one can deny its beautifulness in tune. Of com-se, there are bad songs that will not last long, but pop song fans will give these songs their due by choosing to sing them or not.

自李克强总理在向本次人大会议作政府工作报告时首提“工匠精神”，从德国制造到日本“经营之圣”稻盛和夫，从瑞士手表到中国航天，可圈可点的案例分析与文化自省，已经在以朋友圈为代表的舆论场上流行了一轮。

前些日，李总理提醒中国还“不具备生产磨具钢的能力”与“圆珠笔头的‘圆珠’，目前仍然需要进口”，点出一个基本现实：中国制造中的粗制滥造仍触目可见，从制造大国到制造强国，可谓路漫漫其修远兮。

其实，制造强国只是工匠精神的果，不是因，也不是终极目标。工匠精神的因与终极目标，都是人本身。

今日提倡工匠精神，首先是因为我们希望告别“圆珠笔老不出水”或“用一次就坏”的时代，与那些卓越之“物”共生共处。我们希望厂家制造的一口锅，从出生到老年，都仍然好用;一块表由奶奶传下来，戴在腕上仍然滴答不止;城市的下水道于一百多年前建造，还是那么通畅。

由此，很多生命记忆得到活生生的传承，卓越之“物”里饱含着人的专注与深情，传达给一直使用和保存的人。对天地间的各种产品，我们不是弃之如敝履，而是当做值得爱惜的果实。人与物之间，才会告别粗鄙，达到一种美好的状态。

什么样的人做什么样的产品，如果靠地沟油与三聚氰胺就能赚大钱，工匠精神就只能是一句口号。只有当我们开始真正欣赏匠心独运的人，当看到一位拿高工资的高级技工，不是因为其收入超过名校硕士而羡慕，而是因为他对手艺的专注去尊敬，追求精益求精的“职人”，才会成为一种精神标尺。人与人之间，也才能告别粗鄙，回归到生命品性的相互砥砺与欣赏。

就像日本与德国一样，告别粗鄙时代，要经历管理与教育的双重革新。

二战后，日本企业界在美国质量管理之父爱德华兹·戴明的全心协助下，迅速提高了日本制造的质量，取得经济奇迹。这种管理变革不会凭空诞生，源自人的意愿、视野与学习能力，教育显然更为根本。

德国的教育体系里，在接受覆盖全民的基础教育之后，学生很早即向职业教育与文科中学分流。这种分流的好处有两个：其一是减少千军万马共挤独木桥的危害，避免了类似中国应试教育对学生兴趣乃至人格的伤害;其二是较早使学生依照“性之所近”者，确定自己的职业主攻方向。

尤为重要的是，这种职业教育，不是在学校里做与社会无关的学习，而是在政府的宏观制度设计下，直接与企业就业岗位对接。将一线实践与课室里的研究融合在一起，琢磨产品的精度，理解市场的变化，从小铸造出德国人的工匠精神。

反观中国，职业教育不职业，精英教育不精英的状况，广泛存在。为了争抢经费，各种中专和大专院校也追求大而全的学科设置，以提高学校行政等级。为了分数，除了极少数可以兼顾的学生，家长不得不让孩子逐渐放弃手工与兴趣，放弃生活教育与人格磨砺，进入刷题式学习。

这也是一种教育上的粗鄙状态。树大者根必深。只有改变这样的现状，工匠精神才能光而大之。

从哲学博士到摩托修理工：为什么这个时代仍然需要工匠精神?

在北京的北海公园附近的一条胡同里，美国人马修·克劳福德找到了知音:一位自行车修理师傅。这位师傅有一辆敞篷手推车，里面放着很多自行车零部件和修理工具。

在路边摆摊的修理师傅主要给附近的街坊邻居修车，基本上不怎么说话。“他身上没有任何企业的标识，也没有必要去推销自己的服务”。马修·克劳福德站在那里，仔细端详这位修车师傅，“他自信满满，已经找到了一种谋生的方式，用不着满嘴废话!”

马修·克劳福德问了一个问题：“为什么在当今的社会里，这会让人感觉是一种杰出的成就?”

你觉得这会是一种杰出的成就吗?你怎么看那些在路边摆摊设点的修车师傅呢?不用多问，你辛辛苦苦紧紧张张从幼儿园一路奋斗到大学毕业，肯定不会将自己的理想定位在一个自行车修理工身上!你要买房买车，要升职加薪，要这要那，诸如此类不一而足。

你会觉得修自行车!也太失败了吧!最次也得是个保时捷修理工吧，还得是蓝翔技校毕业的!

不过马修·克劳福德却跟你不一样，确切地说，他跟世界上绝大多数人不一样。他其实跟北京胡同里那个自行车修理师傅是同行，他有自己的一家摩托车修理店。当然他不仅仅是一家摩托车修理店的店主，此人不到14岁就在社区里担任电工的助手，15岁成为保时捷汽车修理店的修理工，从高中到大学的7个暑假都在兼职做电工。

大学毕业以后，他继续电工生活，后来因为对哲学产生了浓厚的兴趣，进入芝加哥大学攻读政治哲学博士。博士毕业以后，他进入华盛顿的一家智库工作，5个月以后离职开办了自己的摩托车修理店。

因为他学历很高，同时主业是蓝领修理工，所以业余时间他写了本书 Shop Class As Soulcraft,《摩托车修理店的未来哲学》。这书一经出版，就受到关注和欢迎。在这样的一个时代，哲学博士去当修理工，实在会让很多人觉得匪夷所思;工匠精神的确可以迎合大多数文艺青年的内心渴望，但是都去做工匠的话，也没那么多就业岗位呀?

前不久，前新东方英语培训老师老罗推出了锤子手机，一时之间江湖上众说纷纭。锤子手机因为用了Smartisan这个英文品牌，于是artisan再一次被大家讨论，老罗那张在工作台上挑灯苦战的图片，估计也让很多人为之有些感动。

只不过，感动之后，太多的人还是不愿意去做个苦逼的工匠，更愿意到写字楼里做个白领，在所谓的团队协作的训练中，在各种精神蹂躏的过程中领那一点点永远买不起房子的薪水。

我们的这个社会，就是这么紧张，这么神经，所有的人都在追求成功，渴望一份光彩的工作。但是有些工作不那么光彩，却能给你一份成就感，这就是工匠精神，它在多大程度上可以化解我们的紧张呢?

好吧，先说到这里。我们还是跟马修·克劳福德聊聊天吧!

贺志刚：我们很荣幸能够在中国出版你的这本书，同时也有一些问题想请教。芝加哥大学的政治学博士去开机车维修店，这经历本身就是此书吸引人的一个很重要的原因。但是，你是一个摩托车修理店的老板，而不仅仅是一个摩托车修理工，这是不是你的工作成就感的重要原因呢?

马修·克劳福德：我没有任何员工。以前我的修理店是半松散的，其他修理工就在自己的仓库里工作，我们只是很注重知识分享。但修理店一直都是一个人在运营。

贺志刚：工匠精神这个概念肯定不仅仅是手工业的工匠才可能具有的精神，社会的发展导致分工越来越细，也催生了很多新的行当。摩托车修理工需要工匠精神，软件工程师也需要工匠精神，大学教授需要工匠精神吗，行政助理需要工匠精神吗，你对于工匠精神的确切定义是什么?

马修·克劳福德：好工作是指那些可以让你发挥最大潜能的工作，你的每个行动都能产生直接影响的工作。我认为最重要的区别不是体力工作或脑力工作。而是，这份工作需不需要你进行判断。但确切地说，年轻人更值得考虑技术工作。与工人和“白领血汗工厂”不同，水管工、电工或汽车修理师必须经常想办法解决问题，有些还是即时的。

对于那些有流程可循的工作来说，他们工作的外界环境变化太大，无法单纯的遵循一些规则。他们必须经常思考，挑战自己的智慧。正因如此，他们才感觉自己活生生地存在，而不是像机器的零件一样。

如果一款产品不允许在质量上出现任何差错，人们就会为之努力;肯定不会再粗心大意。工匠精神简单的说就是自愿把事情做好，因为这代表一种荣誉。即使没能做好，也会感到憎恶和耻辱。文化被破坏，或者说处在一种不断变动的状态时，社会就不再重视荣誉和廉耻，品质就会降低。

贺志刚：按照我的理解，你对于工匠精神的推崇很大程度上可能与20世纪70年代以来欧美国家的制造业外包趋势有关，越来越多的工厂转移到了中国这样的发展中国家，同时转移走的还有工人和管理人员的岗位，这在很大程度上也许打击了美国一直以来的机械和手工制作的传统。如今的制造业回流美国和3D打印技术是否可以给工匠精神的复兴带来机会呢?

马修·克劳福德：我认为3D打印带来的最好的结果不是该技术本身，(目前，其应用非常有限)，而是它唤醒了人们对于手工业的想象。手工突然间成了非常尖端而充满魅力的科技。一旦人们开始研究如何进行制作时，他们就会明白传统的技艺要比3D打印更划算且实用。

真正的创新革命是YouTube 上的教学视频。现在，手工制造技术正在爆炸式的宣传，像手工业者分享他们的知识一样。另一方面，来自中国的一些低成本的工具，使得人们可以以较低的投入尝试开发新技术。这些人中的大多数都是出于业余爱好。但是手工文化复兴了，我相信美国的制造业会增加一些小型、专业化的企业。但是在大型制造业方面美国无法与中国竞争。所以这些发展无法拯救美国的中产阶级。但是我相信这会给一些热爱创新和修复的人提供机会。

贺志刚：事实上，我很认同你对于工匠精神的推崇，但是不太同意你的推断过程。到现在为止的企业管理方式，某种程度上来说，也是不断进化的结果。不管是如今的格子间还是科层制的管理方式，也许都有他们存在的理由。按照你对工匠精神的理解，你会如何改变目前的状况呢?有哪些企业和组织在这方面有特别好的实践，可以分享给我们吗?

马修·克劳福德：我的另一本书中记录了一个很长的关于Taylor and Boody这个组织的研究案例。这是一个制作巴洛克风格的手风琴的组织，其在工作组织，培养员工以及产品制作方面可以给我们很多参考。这本书的名称是“The World Beyond Your Head: On Becoming an Individual in an Age of Distraction”，将由Farrar, Straus & Giroux于2015年4月出版。

贺志刚：接下来的问题是，如何改造我们的教育?目前的教育制度的兴起有其历史原因，也是在不断进化的过程中，教育是如何抑制工匠精神的呢?如何改进?如今的互联网教育是否可以做到这一点呢?

马修·克劳福德：我知道中国和美国在教育方面遇到的问题是一样的：大学毕业生太多，工作机会却很少。问题是父母们认为教育是孩子通向成功的唯一路径，而且还需要通过权威机构的重重考核。我不知道中国的技术工种的收入情况，但是在美国，电焊工或柴油机修理工的收入往往比初级的办公室白领高，有的甚至高2或3倍。

拥有技术的人太少了，我们对于“知识性工作”和技术工作有着错误的认识，如果一份工作很脏，那么人们就会轻易的认为这份工作很傻。但事实是，技术工需要做的思考真的非常多，这也是为什么他们的收入比较高的原因。而许多办公室的工作让人越来越笨，这是其收入低的原因，尽管要得到这份工作需要大学学历。

另一个问题是，不同的人有不同的学习方法。很少人天生就是学者的料，可以安静的每天坐上几个小时，盯着看书。但是想像一下，你要为一场赛车搭建赛道，数学会突然变得非常有趣，因为你需要它。手工技术的培训让你想要获得全面而抽象的知识。学习的时候注意力也很容易集中。

贺志刚：从字面上来理解，工匠精神很大程度上与制造业更相关，而如今在全球范围内，似乎越来越多的人在推动创意产业，更崇尚想像力、创造力和领导力，你对此有什么样的看法?创意产业是否也需要工匠精神?

马修·克劳福德：任何可以带来进步，从中能够通过增长技艺而获得快乐的工作都是有意义的。问题是现代经济的残酷逻辑将思考和行动分开了。目标是让一些人做计划，另一些人去执行。真正的知识性工作高度集中在少数(有史以来最少)精英的手里。很显然，这样做让只需要根据要求做事的人替代了需要技能的人，因为这样就不需要支付很高的薪水。每个未能成为精英的人最后都仅仅是一名职员，这样的事情每个行业都会发生。

我给年轻人的建议是找一份与将思考和行动分开这一逻辑相悖的工作，有些号称“有创意”的工作并不真的如其所说。一般来说，能够保持一定的“曾经的辉煌”的工作才真正有创意。但是目前，这种辉煌只是用来吸引大量的年轻人渴望得到这份工作，让他们愿意接受无薪水的实习工作，充满希望地以“啃老”为生。

贺志刚：你在书中说：生产性的工作是一切繁荣与发展的基础。到底什么样的工作才是生产性的工作呢?

马修·克劳福德：我的观点是任何经济的基础都是劳动力：提供商品和服务。那些通过某些方法(如金融)获得极度财富的人是在获取他人创造的财富。这个道理非常简单，我相信卡尔·马克思对于中国人都不陌生，他比以往任何时候都值得重新审视。

贺志刚：你在书中提到自己曾经做过一份写摘要的工作，而你感觉那份工作把人变笨了。但这份工作是否是可有可无的呢?如果必须要有人做这份工作的条件下，应该如何改变这种情况呢?

马修·克劳福德：理论上，如果我按照其自有的逻辑做那份工作，将会非常有激情并充满挑战，工作的质量也会非常高。但问题是，我有工作量要求，每天需要阅读28篇学术文章并给出摘要。这很显然是完不成的，唯一能够完成工作量的方法是“生产垃圾”，这同时也压制了我思考的能力。

生产力要高!这是股东们在要求短期利益时爱喊的口号，而经营者的薪水与股价息息相关。当消费者清醒并发现产品已经变成垃圾时，投资者和管理团队已经转移到了另一个公司。这份工作被人唾弃，公司也因此倒闭，经营者由于破坏他人财产而得到回报，我们则拥有了差劲的产品，这种事情在美国天天上演。

贺志刚：你在书中多次提到了道德与良心的问题，是否因为您觉得目前这种流水线的工作方式，降低了人们的道德水平?但是，手工业的工作是否就不会遇到这个问题呢?我们又应该如何解决这个问题呢?
