2008年，令人为之振奋的一年，中国成功的举办了第二十九届奥运会，神州七号发射成功，作为一个中国人，我感到自豪极了！但这也是令人心酸的一年，2008年5月12日14时28分，中国四川汶川遭遇八级地震。将近六万同胞遇难，三十余万人受伤，数百万人流离失所。请记住，那短短的三分钟，无数家园瞬间变成废墟，无数亲人生离死别，无数孩子成为孤儿！

在缅怀他们的同时，我想起了地球妈妈。我们现在所拥有宝贵的一切，都是她赋予我们的，而我们回报她了什么？一望无际的灰黑？乌黑的河水？稀稀拉拉的杂草还是已经荒漠化的土地？地球妈妈不得不换下她那套充满生机的绿色礼服，穿上人类送给她的一份“礼物”——一套灰色系的连衣裙。也许她正在哭泣，她不明白为什么她为人类默默的付出了这么多，却换来了臭水风沙，连天空都被烟熏得失去了往日的风采。也许这是她在引起我们的注意，看看原本绿色的大地，成了一片片荒无的沙漠。昔日林海莽莽的大山，只剩下嶙峋乱石，一只无家可归的小鸟在空中飞翔、哀啼，寻找着被斧头电锯砍下的家……小草的生命力再强，它能经受住人们一而再再而三的践踏吗？看到这一幕幕，你会经不住问，这，还是我们生存的那个美好蔚蓝的地球吗？

让我们在地球妈妈的眼泪干涸之前，改变一下我们现在的生活方式。外国人能想到循环利用资源，为什么我们不去试一试？

根据联合国的调查，全世界十个污染最严重的城市中有六个在中国。中国水利部曾对全国七百多条河流约十万公里河长的水资源质量评价结果，指出目前已有46.5%的河流受到污染，10.6%的河长严重污染（已超五类），90%以上的城市水域污染严重，三亿多中国人饮水不合卫生标准。

世界卫生组织去年发布的一份报告说，有大约74%的中国人居住在空气品质不良的地区。这些地区的空气质量不论按哪个国际条约或是按1992年的联合国环境与发展会议来衡量都不符合标准。

在炎黄子孙生活的这片土地上，环境质量不断下降，这也意味着生活的这片土地上的人们也在不断的受环境污染的影响，室内环境污染时时刻刻威胁着人类健康。在经济迅速发展的今天，由于建筑、装饰装修、家具和现代家电与办公器材造成室内环境污染已成为影响人们健康的一大杀手，由此产生的空气污染、噪声污染、电磁波及静电干扰、紫外线辐射等给人们的身体健康带来不可忽视的影响。现状统计显示，中国每年有11万人死于室内污染，几乎所有新装修办公室、居室、新购买的车辆都存在室内污染问题，某些污染物甚至超过了国家标准几倍几十倍。

我们深爱着我们的祖国，但在这种种严峻的问题下，再过上几百年像这样的日子，我们深爱着的祖国很有可能变成一片荒漠，一切的一切都将不复存在。所以我们要好好珍惜现在的生活，保护好大自然！
