Chinese intellectual revolution and sociopolitical reform movement (1917 – 21)。 In 1915 young intellectuals inspired by Chen Duxiu began agitating for the reform and strengthening of Chinese society through acceptance of Western science, democracy, and schools of thought, one objective being to make China strong enough to resist Western imperialism. On May 4, 1919, reformist zeal found focus in a protest by Beijings students against the Versailles Peace Conferences decision to transfer former German concessions in China to Japan. After more than a month of demonstrations, strikes, and boycotts of Japanese goods, the government gave way and refused to sign the peace treaty with Germany. The game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on Friday night. Long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium.

By seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. The school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. They started to play at about a quarter to eight. Everybody stood up, and the people sang. The game was about to start. Two teams ran out to the floor. The referee blew his whistle, and the game started. A basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters.

There is a rest period between the halves. During the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. From then on, the game was very exciting. First one team made a basket, then the other. The people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.

到了赛场，哇！真是人山人海，有的大人在着急的等待，有的同学紧张的要哭，还有的同学紧张的直冒汗……我找了一个空，挤了进去。轮到我抽号了，就要这个吧！打开一看，耶！是39号，不错，和我的参赛号一样。我拿好笔和纸，信心十足的上楼做听力。之后又满怀希望的回一楼讲了一个英语故事。最关键的时刻到了，马上就要公布成绩了，我又紧张起来。我也感觉到我的手心一直在冒汗，以前从来没这么紧张过。人名一个一个的念着，我的心情也是时起时落，终于在最后颁发的一等奖获得者名单里念到我的名字了，“我得了个一等奖，这表示我晋级了！”

为提高孩子们英语水平，检验近期英语学习情况，进一步培养学生的英语综合运用能力，营造英语文化氛围，7月28日，山东理工大学“红色之旅”实践团于菏泽市牡丹区赵楼社区支教基地举行英语作文比赛。

此次比赛本着“人人参与”的原则，在初中三个年级中进行。以《My holidy》（我的假期）为题，学生们现场发挥，在30分钟的时间内写出一篇100词作文。比赛过程中，参赛选手胸有成竹，屏气凝神，严格遵守比赛规则，表现出优秀的参赛风格。全部同学在规定时间内完成，甚至有几位同学提前做完，显示出同学们对英语的有效掌握。学生作文水平虽显稚嫩，但从单词、句子的运用，到语法篇章的安排，都显示出了英语教学有了明显的进步，这是同学们勤学英语的结果，也是每位实践队员辛勤教学的结果。最终，赵芳同学脱颖而出荣获一等奖，刘涵、赵紫、赵伟等分获二、三等奖，队员们为其颁发奖状、奖品，以资鼓励。赛后，实践团将同学们的作品在橱窗中展示，以供大家交流学习。同学们表示今后一定再接再厉，学好英语。队员们鼓励大家在日常生活中也要勤学勤用，在实践中探索英语的奥秘。

I am a sports fan,basketball,table tennis,badminton.are sports I like.Among them,basketball is my best love,because it brings me joy.

We always have great plans and dreams in our minds… too ready to achieve something grand thatChanges the world or benefits all of mankind .For example; we hate pollution and have made up our minds to find new energy sources that keep the environment clean. Yet we still litter on the ground. We complain about traffic jams, so we plan to build more highways to solve the problem, but it never occurs to us that our failure to follow traffic regulations is the leading cause of this situation. We are so concerned that the violence in the media has a bad impact on our children, we urge the government to set laws to protect them. But, do we, as adults, set a good example for our kids? We use nasty words and even spit on the ground in front of them, I dare to say, we harm more!

In my opinion, before we decide to change the world, we had better change ourselves first. As ordinary individuals, we do not have the power to change the world. But we can change our habit of littering, spitting, cussing, we can respect the environment around us, we must act as good models for our kids.

If each of us does all of these little things, all of us, millions and millions of individuals together, together we will be strong …strong enough to change our world!

So please, the next time you do something, think how your actions influence not only you, but those around you too, especially our children …and perhaps more importantly…our planet!

在我看来，在我们打算改变这个世界之前，我们最好先改变一下自己。作为一个普通人，我们其实没有改变这个世界的能力，但是我可以改变我们随地扔垃圾，随地吐痰的坏习惯， 我们应该学会去保护环境，我们应该为我们的孩子起好的表率作用。

如果我们每个人都能从小事起，那么千千万万个人力量汇聚在一起，那力量是强大的，足以改变这个世界。
