Today is Saturday, I don’t need to go to school, so I decided to take some morning exercises. Early in the morning, I went out of the house and looked around, the city was so quiet. With few cars, the air was fresh, I felt so comfortable. Besides the people who took the morning exercise, I found some people who worn the orange uniform, they were working. The Laba Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the eighth day of the twelfth month of the lunar Chinese calendar. "La" is the name given to the 12th lunar month and 8 is pronounced as "ba" in Chinese, which translated is "Laba." There are several legends about the origin of this festivity and we could not tell which one is true. But what we know today is that this festival started as a sacrificial offering to ancestors. It was also a time for the ancient Chinese to pray to heaven and earth that there would be a bountiful harvest. Many people hoped for good luck as well for the coming year.

我想对自己说

人生不可能一帆风顺，难免会遇到大大小小的挫折和磨难，就像是风雨之后才能见彩虹。所以人应该把挫折和磨难当成生活中的调味剂，把挫折和磨难当成实现自己人生价值的垫脚石！把挫折和磨难当成是自己前进的动力而不是阻碍自己前进的阻力。

As it is known to us all ,LuXun is a famous Chinese writer. He is not only

a writer, thinker, but also the founder of Chinese Literature . He wrote many

classic (经典的)novels and his stories, which are translated many languages, were

made into film,such as The True Story of AH Q and The New Years Sacrifice,which

deeply showed peoples suffering in the old days.

Because of his achievement to Chinese literature, Chairman Mao spoke highly

of him. Besides, some of his works were selected into the text books in high

school and university. I think youll gain a lot from reading his works.

It was early in the morning. The sun was just creeping(爬) out of the eastern horizon(地平线)and golden red was penetrating (穿透) through the white clouds and across the sky. The lakes,the trees and the bamboos looked as if they were all gilded. The ground was covered withtender grass, on whose blades some dew drops were glistening(晶莹剔透) under the sunshine.

Birds flew around the woods singing cheerfully and restlessly. Some boys were quietly joggingalong the path, while a couple of girls were reading aloud under the trees lining the bank of thelake.

A gentle breeze came up, wrinkling(使…起皱) the surface of the lake. It was really a beautiful andlively morning.
