我在爸妈的眼里永远是个孩子。我一直埋怨，也是因为他们对我的爱，使我失去了自由。有时我很想大声告诉他们：“我长大了!”但是我始终没有开口，因为我明白，是父母爱我才这样呵护我。我不想让爸妈伤心，但是，渴望他们能够理解我，直到去年发生的一件事使我终于能开口告诉他们我长大了。记得去年暑假的一个晚上，爸爸妈妈为同时出差而讨论谁来照顾我而争执不休，我忍不住那已埋藏在我心中很久的话，终于一吐为快：“爸爸妈妈，我长大了，可以自己照顾自己!”爸爸妈妈半晌没说话，只是对我微微一笑，给我留下了一张写满“独自在家注意事项”的字条和六百元钱。于是，爸爸像颁给了我“长大了证书”一样，宣布了我“小鬼当家”的生活正式开始。白天，我叠被子，收拾房屋，自己做饭，非常快乐。

晚上，我一人待在房间里看书，突然停电了。于是一道亮光从墙上闪起，既不像是月光也不像是灯光。那道光在墙上流动着，我立刻反应那是幽灵出现的前兆，感到好像有什么东西在靠近我，我的心跳加快，呼吸停止。我急忙拉开被子，连鞋子也不脱就上了床，用被子紧紧地蒙住了头。屋里静静的，只听到我的呼吸声，冷静下来，“科学”两个字浮现在我的脑海中。科学证明世上没有鬼，鬼只是因人心里恐惧而想象出来的，根本不存在。想到这里，我开始慢慢放松。最后，我决定去买蜡烛。

我慢慢下了床，摸着黑下了楼，走到对面超市买了蜡烛。第二天早上醒来，蜡烛已经融化了，我感到我心里的恐惧也渐渐没有了。我将这段经历讲给爸爸妈妈听，他们欣喜地称赞我，真的长大了。伴随着20__年的新年钟声，我又添了一岁。我心里默默地下决心，要试着帮爸爸妈妈分担些什么，要让他们觉得自己的女儿在成长，让他们感到轻松，这才是真正的长大了!
