庐山位于江西省北部，北濒长江，南傍鄱阳湖，是一座历史悠久的千古名山。素有“匡庐奇秀甲天下”之美称。庐山是一座地垒式断块山，断崖峭壁，谷深峰险，以“雄、奇、险、秀”闻名于世，“绝壁、云海、瀑布”被誉为庐山“三绝”。由于庐山位于江湖之间，水汽郁结，降水丰富，凉爽宜人，也是著名的避暑胜地。
