圣诞节的早上，小孩们很早就醒来了。一些人甚至在凌晨两点开灯，但大多数小孩会在六点醒来，孩子们在（大人们）准备晚餐的时候玩耍。下午一点，圣诞大餐出炉了。火鸡或鸡腿总是很快被抢光。孩子们寻找着属于他们的圣诞布丁是为了确认金币是否有藏在里面。在剩余的时间里，（人们）便是玩游戏和吃食物直到最开心幸福的圣诞节结束。

二零零八年，第二十九届奥运会即将在中国--这个伟大的祖国召开。当人们为喜迎奥运而忙碌的同时，一场意想不到的灾难发生了。

那是黑色的五月十二日，一场突如其来的里氏八级大地震袭击了汶川这个拥有百万人口的城市。顷刻间，数百名儿童成为孤儿；数万栋楼房夷为平地；数十万人民丧失生命。地震所波及到的城镇足有数十个，还包括即将举行奥运会的北京。面对这意想不到的灾难，中国十三亿人民没有恐慌，也没有害怕。通过各大媒体，人们很快的了解到灾难的降临。人们并没有逃脱，而是一方有难，八方支援。人们纷纷捐款捐物。就连我们学校五月十九日那天也都降下了半旗；组织了捐款活动，老师们人人都拿着百元大钞毫不犹豫地放进了捐款箱。我们也不例外，我紧紧的攥着五个月来攒下的四十七点五元钱，一回到教室就交给了老师。爸爸妈妈在单位也捐了好几千元呢。虽然我们捐的钱很少很少，但是我们拥有爱心。全国十三亿人民，只要人人捐一元钱，汇聚起来就是十三亿元啊！正如歌中所唱：只要人人都献出一点爱，世界将会变成美好的人间。

果然，我们的付出有了回报。灾区人民信心倍增，重建家园的工程浩浩荡荡。不仅奥运会准时召开，而且二零零九年春节，汶川县第一所小学建成，孩子们又可以高高兴兴的背上书包去上学。看着他们灿烂地笑颜，全国人民比他们还高兴。此外，灾区还新建了许多抗震建筑，生活安全又多了一层保障。现在的汶川和原来一样，美丽而又富饶。这都是全国十三亿人民不懈努力，抗震救灾的成果。

啊！中国，你这头沉睡了几十年的狮子终于醒来了。你用那惊天动地的狮吼震惊了全世界；震惊了全宇宙！我爱你！我的祖国！
