Thanksgiving which falls on the fourth Thursday of November, is one of the

biggest American holidays. This holiday started in the early 1600s after

settlers arrived in America. These people who came from Europe didnt know how

to survive in the wild new country. Luckily, they met some friendly American

Indians, who showed them how to hunt turkeys and grow corn. In the fall, after

the harvest, the settlers had a great feast. They invited the Indians to thank

them for their help. Today the tradition continues. On Thanksgiving Day,

Americans invite their friends over for a turkey dinner and give thanks for what

As a Senior Grade Three students, I am very busy in preparing for the college entrance examination. I have seven classes a day, and two self-study classes at night. And only a day left for the weekend. So, most of the time I have to spend on the study, after all the college entrance examination is very important for almost all of us. Aside of study, I would play football with my friends after school and the weekend. I like playing football very much. When I run on the football field, I can put the examination thing off my mind for a while, only sweat and laugh left. It is a good exercise for health and a good way to relax from the busy study too. When I was young at high school,I couldnt stop dreaming about my college life again and again.Suffering too much pressure form college entrance test,I always admired college students for their relaxed life in college.

When winter holiday is around corner,I have so many plans,but now I just like coughpotato. Generally speaking, life in high school is busy and fulfilling, due to the

fun left but bored study and endless exercises. However, as a high school

到现在我是学生会部长，谢宁退部。

吕思琪是之前的部长，我俩那时候关系也很好，但是却因为吕思琪的另一个朋友，吕思琪和我绝交了，我无所谓了，呵呵 ，有时候心伤透了也就无话可说了。

不得不说有时候还是很想念谢宁的。

又一段时候李锦鹏来我们学校了，据说是为了和我同桌三年的好朋友来的。后来因为佟爽，吕思琪和我绝交，心很伤。

马雪程，这学期一直陪着我，没分开过。我过生日给我偷摸的买吃的，和宿舍女生凑钱为了给我惊喜，在我落魄，高兴，伤心的时候，程从来没离开过我。

My New Life

This summer, I move to a new city with my parents, and I transfer to a new school. I used to live in the countryside, so my new life is so different from before. The school is a little far from my home, so I go to school by bus. After school, I have many activities in school. Classmates are friendly to me. I learn English now. 这个夏天，我和爸爸妈妈搬到了一个新的城市生活，我也转到了新的学校上学。以前，我住在乡下，所以我现在的生活和以前有很大不同。学校离我的家稍远，所以我要坐公交车去上学。课后，我在学校有很多活动。同学们对我也很有好。现在我开始学英语了，这门课程很有趣，我很喜欢。另外，在城市里的生活也很不一样，有很多好玩的地方可以去。周末，我的爸爸妈妈常常带我出去。我们去公园、动物园，或者去购物。但是我们和邻居们不是很熟悉，我觉得我们应该建立良好的关系。

我们的大学生活，下一个奇迹就是你。

我为什么这么说呢？因为我想用自己的行动来证明一个事实，我是一个平凡的人，我们每一个人都是平凡人，但我相信在我们这些平凡的人中曾经都有一个平凡或者伟大的梦想。我们现在反省一下自己，从小到现在我们有过哪些目标，比如说,在小时候有人想过做个班长，做个学习委员呀，在初中就想参加篮球队呀，在高中就像考个好的大学等等。但现在有哪些我们想、实现了呢，说实话真的没多少。为什么？是因为当初我们只是想了想，没去做而变成了空想。

我不想让自己生活在昨天，因为昨天没有希望，只有回忆。当我们过多的注意昨天时，今天已无声无息地溜走，明天不知不觉的到来，我所们拥有的是越来越多的归属于昨天。我不想再让自己的明天为今天而遗憾。

步入大学后，学习已不再那么的紧张，似乎有着更多的时间和空间由你自己去支配，只要你有足够的激情投入。渐渐的，感觉自己在无形中长大了，独立了，坚强了，时间老人总是那样的神奇，在他的带领下我找到了那片属于自己的天空。生活不再空虚，不再单调，不再孤寂??

在学习上，自己从不敢懈迨，因为自己很清楚，生活是不会同情弱者的，不上进的人不该拥有今天的美好，即使生活给予我太多的磨难。我把每一次的失败归结为一次尝试，不去自卑，不去抱怨生命有太多的曲折，大海如果失去了巨浪的翻滚，就失去了雄浑；沙漠如果

失去了飞沙的狂舞，就失去了壮观。人生也是如此，活得太庸俗，生命也就失去了原有的魅力。

生活上，结识了很多朋友，一直深信着，茫茫人海中，能相遇是一种缘，能相识从而成为朋友更让我倍加的珍惜。每个人的心灵色彩都不会一样，每个人心中都有不同的世界，正因为如此，时而与朋友发生不快。曾因朋友的误解而悄然的流泪，曾因与父母出现了代沟而大声的哭泣或默然的伤感，曾因?

也许这就是青春。青春时可以笑，可以闹，这都是青春给予我们特殊的待遇，如果有一天你不再拥有健壮的体魄，旺盛的精力，无限的潜力时，那时你已不再年轻。

很多时候，喜欢一个人呆呆地坐着，想很多的事，想很远的事，仿佛是不着边际的遐想。偶尔会一个劲的傻笑，毫无顾忌的笑，偶尔也会不停地流泪，惊天动地地哭??或许，早已步入大学的我们还未长大，内心的那份童心依旧在。其实，我们是多么的希望自己不要长大，因为那样就不必承担更多的责任，不会有更多的烦恼和压力了，信奉自己能够做一个快乐的天使。用自己的微笑去融化周围的寒冷，去照亮这周围的黑暗。但我相信，当我们经历了风吹雨打的那一天，当我们再次跌倒和踉跄的那一天，当我们从天空飞过的那一天，我们已经长大，我们会很自豪的告诉世界：“长大真好！”

其实活着就是幸福，即使你的一辈子都是在失败中度过。因为活着，可以看到山是绿的，海是蓝的，雪是白的；因为活着，可以明白日子活像洋葱，只要你自己一片片的剥开，总有一片是会让你流泪不

止的。

当我们明白这一切时，似乎轻松了许多，我们不再需要背负太多，我们可以更加潇洒地活着，按自己的方式好好地活着，为了所有我们爱的人和爱我们的人！世界上有一个永远不会枯竭的泉眼，那里有浓浓的爱流出，不会枯竭。

对父母心怀感激，对朋友心怀感激，对生活心怀感激，我们的大学生活很快乐！

I am a first-year student in Nanjing University. Every day, I have a very busy and full schedule.

Education is very important to students. The reason is that our achievement determines whether or not we can early out duties to our country in the future.

I get up early every morning to prepare my lessons. Then I attend classes. The last two periods in the afternoon are usually free. I spend them either on the sports ground or in the library. In the evening I try to complete all the assignments on time.

On the weekends, I like to watch TV or go to the films.

Being a student is hard work, but studying makes you a useful person and it is also full of joys when you are ahead of your classmates in all subjects.
