My past university

I want to talk about my past university—Shan Xi Da Tong University. It not only provided me learning environment, but also provided me social practice platform. That is to say, I am not only acquired basic knowledge but also learnt how to get along well with others in four years’ university life .I missed these places mostly, library, student union and my dormitory. I used to study in library because it’s learning environment is very good and it has many kinds of books, but seats are limited; I took part in the student union when I was a freshman. I made more friends and actived in many extracurricular activities in union, but it often took a lot of time; I like my dormitory best. I shared my happiness and sorrows with my room-mates and I relaxed myself sufficiently in it. But the condition of my dormitory is poor. Above all, University is my unforgettable place. I spent most of my extra-study time in library. Generally speaking, It is a good study place. Firstly, the atmosphere of study is strong, but sometimes someone would receive and make calls, which would impact others’ study. If it can provide a few of fountains, the library would be perfect. In my personal opinion,living in university is an enjoyment.Every day we can open our eyes naturally,and put on clothes in our own style without warring about teachers rigid control.Communicating with great master is no longer beyond our reach.Each course we take can be a feast for our mind and soul.After class,we will lead a rich and colorful life filled with various leisure activities such as .Library in university is another factor I pursue.I think its an access to enhancing our comprehensive abilities to read even just scan all sorts of

writings.Whats more,we will have so much disposable time that we can do whatever worthy.And our contact group will be extended signally via organizing and participating many activities.All in all,I once imagined that I can live a life that is substantial but meaningful.

However,I just have to admit that what I just describe is really dream.Now living in SD I cant figure out what I pursue and make a feasible career planning.So many young cynics in this schoolyard argue for something meaningless.Worse still,the academic atmosphere has already done with nothing left.I havent found a busy but rich thing to try my best.As a matter of fact,I even cant choose a lifestyle I prefer.What a tragedy it is between dream and reality.

My Life in Winter Holiday

Ihave a great time during the winter holiday, because I enjoy myself as well asfocus on my study. As it’s known to all, the Spring Festival is the mostimportant in winter holiday that would occupy much time to celebrate it.Therefore, I finished my homework first, so that it won’t bother my enjoymentduring the festival. I finished my home work in one week. And I went shoppingwith my parents. We bought a lot of things, especially snacks and fruits. Then,it was the Spring Festival. We had a big dinner on the New Year’s Eve. Myparents prepared the big dinner and I could only act as assistant. The dinnerwas so delicious that I ate so full. In the next several days, my parents and Ivisited our relatives and friends or they visited us. Sometimes, we went outfor fun together. We children were always the most excited. Now, holiday iscoming to the end and I will go to school soon. I am so happy that I have awonderful winter holiday.

其实，从军训中我们也感受到很多快乐。从大家整齐的脚步声，高昂的口号声中，我体会到了团结的快乐，感受到了集体的温暖，更发现自己潜力无限。在这里，我们大声欢笑，在这里，我们大声欢呼，在这里我们留下了我们青春的足迹，留下了十分美好的回忆。

Nowadays,owing to the convenience of transport ,more and more people feel like emigrating to foreign countries.Although it may be exciting to drop your family in a totally unfamiliar place,subsequently the problem appears.Which kind of people in the neighborhood do you long for ,the different race or the same? For me,I prefer the latter.The reasons are as follows.

Firstly,there is no doubt that most of the people tend to spend almost entire life in just one familiar city.They know every street,every corner and every store.If they have something repaired,they know the right place to go.But now,everything changes in the new place.So it is hard for emigrants to adjust in physiology and psychology.What is worse,there is even no friends who can provide enough support.In this situation,naturally the instinct drives them to live with others of their own ethnic background.Because the same race always means similar diet,similar language and habit.Under the circumstances,emigrants are able to adapt to the new environment easily.Otherwise,the conflict resulting from the complete contrast certainly arises.It results in the bad influence on the quality of life.That is what we do not want to confront.Why do we desire to emigrate? We just expect to lead a better life.

Secondly,the emigrants always go with the whole family including the elder.As we all know,after retirement,it is usually that the aged chat with each other about things in the past.For them,talking about trivialities is an essential and necessary way to enjoy themselves.However,assuming that persons around them are different ethnic in the new community,how can our parents or grandparents communicate with neighbors.After all,in accordance with the statistics,over seventy percent of the elder cannot speak foreign language especially in Asia.In addition,the fact that the majority of emigrants coming from Asia is well-known.Therefore,how to help the aged avoid loneliness is a serious problem which should be solved in time.I reckon that the best way is to live with people of the same race.Thus all old men benefit from the familiar language.Or,if they have nothing to do but to stay at home all the day,the harmony of the family will be affected sooner or later.

All in all,in my opinion,the more familiar,the better.So emigrants ought to live with others of their own ethnic background.
