Everybody knows that our life is very short, so the great educators always

decide to give up and just live the boring life. It reminds me of the famous

words, some people just die at age of 20 but only to be buried at the age of 70.

As we are young and full of energy, it is a good time for us to fight for our

This new year, I have read a lot of books about the new year, and the book

that impresses me most is Spring Festival.

The author of Spring Festival is an Chengna. A long time ago, there was a

monster named "Nian". It had two sharp horns and covered with plum red scales.

Bigger than an elephant, fiercer than a tiger. It looks terrible. Every new

years Eve, "Nian" will come to the village to eat people. One year "Nian" came

again, and a young man said, "its better to fight with it than to let it eat!"

The young people nearby picked up the weapons on the ground and attacked Nian

one after another. Unfortunately, they were not the opponents of Nian, so they

were all eaten by Nian.

Since then, "Nian" has become more fierce, so every new years Eve people

will hide in caves. Another year, new years Eve arrived, just as people were

packing up, there was an old man begging. The old man asked people for food, but

people were very busy and had no time to pay attention to him. Suddenly, an old

woman gave him some food and advised him to go up the mountain to hide. But he

did not hurry to eat the food his wife gave him. The old woman advised him to

run for his life, but he said, "I have a way to get rid of Nian. She thought he

Now I’m studying in Hunan First Normal College, which is Chairman Mao’s former school. I major in English, because I find it so fun and interesting. College life is much different from high school life. In college, we should acquire knowledge as well as improve our integrated abilities. Chinese food is famous all around the world. A lot of foreigners speak

highly of the delicious food when they come to this big country. For me， I like

spicy food， so hot pot is my favorite. I can eat what I like and put the food in

the spicy soup. The hotness makes me feel so cool. No matter where I go， Chinese

food is always my favorite.

那年我5岁，在一个飘着毛毛细雨的下午，我去参加区钢琴演奏比赛。午饭后妈妈忙着帮我梳头、换裙子，外婆帮我穿鞋子、戴发夹……把我打扮得像个洋娃娃，爸爸既担任车夫工作，又是服装、水瓶的搬运工，仿佛全世界都围绕着我转。我前呼后拥的来到了比赛地点，刚到达候场室，爸爸急着去领参赛号码，妈妈忙着去询问比赛事宜，全家只有我一人孤零零的站在候场厅里。

此时比赛候场的人已很多，但我感觉特别的安静，看着墙上的钟一分一秒的过去，心里有些不安，我开始有些着急，在大厅里到处找妈妈，那时的我很胆小，也不敢询问工作人员，就像一只迷路的小羔羊，东跑西撞。最后小小的内心终于承受不了了，一个人在大厅里哭了起来，那是我第一次感到那么无助，才发现自己不是世界的中心。那一次，我悄然成长。

人生总会有成长，有些事当你明知道无法完美完成时，但还应尽力争取的时候……

在我比较小的时候就生过一场病，后来在药物的帮助下康复了，但从那以后，我的体质就一直不好。上六年级那年，学校开展体育运动会，原本体质不好的我被同学以开玩笑的方式申报了400米跑步比赛。400米比赛马上就要开始了，内心无比恐慌的我站在起跑线上，周围每一丝空气里都渗透着加油声、呐喊声，让我紧张得喘不过。

我只能无力的看着起跑的方向，等待着起跑的枪响。“碰”枪声一响，我拼尽全力向前冲去，跑过50米时，我还居第四，随着跑的距离越长，名次就越往后，眼看着对手一个个的超越我，我拼尽全身力量，可脚就是不听使唤，好像灌了铅似的，怎么也抬不起来，一个念头闪过脑海——干脆不跑了!

速度明显慢了，这时周围的加油声好似变成了“逃兵、胆小鬼”，像长了脚似的直蹿进我的耳朵里。于是我咬咬牙，奋力向前冲，坚持冲过终点。当我冲过终点时，那几个曾经戏弄过我同学向我竖起了大拇指。这次比赛虽然没有名次，但我很开心——我尽力了。

人总会有成长，学习和生活中遇到的困难和挫折都是我们成长的机会，正如毛毛虫需经过一次又一次成长的蜕变，最终成为一只美丽的蝴蝶，自由飞翔于蓝天，获得属于自己的那份快乐和自由。

Every year, Spring Festival makes me happy, because I can spend a long

holiday to stay with my families. On the New Year’s Eve, all the families got

together. We woke up early in the morning and then my mother started to purchase

some food to prepare the big dinner. I helped my mother to bring the food.

Before dinner, there was a tradition in my hometown. We needed to bring the

chicken to take a bow to our ancestors, showing our respect and gratitude. When

the dinner’s ready, we ate happily and talked a lot. Then at night, the families

pasted the New Year’s scrolls and decorated the house. What a harmonious

environment and we enjoyed the family hour. In the next few days, I visited a

lot of relatives. It was a good chance for us to communicate with each

other.

就连家中的争吵，也会有再熟悉可是的味道。母亲与父亲争执的是父亲不太主动做家务，母亲与我争执的是我缺乏主动性，而我与妹妹争执的往往是学习上的问题。在争吵之后，总会有那么一段时间两人不说话，但不久还是免不了有个人主动要求和好，另一个人也早想和好，两人便又重归于好了!

家的味道是自我最熟悉的味道。就像是五味瓶，酸甜苦辣各有各的一种滋味，但在这浓郁的家的气息中，包含着家中每个人的爱，让这个家庭充满着的，是爱的味道!

Since I was very small, I was very shy in the public place, so I always

avoided giving performance in front of so many people. Though I tried hard to

get over it in school, I still felt uneasy in the public place. When I came to

the job market, I realized that I must get over my fear, or I would lose my

stage.

I still remembered the horrible experience for my first interview. Early in

the morning, I got a called that I was given a chance to the job interview. I

felt so excited. When I came to the company, I found there were other six young

people competed with me, then I started to feel nervous. The employers asked us

to sit in the round table and introduced ourselves one by one. When it was my

turn, I lowed down my head and spoke in low voice. Then the employers continued

to let us give speeches in the stage. I lose confidence and made the horrible

performance.

This interview taught me a lesson that I must get over my fear, or I will

lose chances. So I practise hard and dare to stand in the stage.

about the origin and customs of Chinese festivals. The reason why I like this

book is that when it introduces the calendar of festivals, it always tells a

story about the situation at that time. And each article is extremely vivid,

from which we can not only learn the origin of many customs, but also understand

some unknown history and legend.

My favorite article is called "Chongyang climbing, drinking with dogwood.".

This article is about the origin of the Double Ninth Festival. It is said that

there was a pestilence devil in Zhuangnan of the Han Dynasty, which was

extremely ferocious, and would come out to harm people every September 9. There

is a man named Huanjing in Zhuangnan county. Because Huanjings parents died in

the hands of the pestilence devil, Huanjing wanted to kill the pestilence devil

to avenge his parents. On this day, Huan Jing packed up and went to practice

magic arts with the famous immortal Fei Changfang, hoping to kill the evil

devil. After a long journey, Huan Jing finally found the immortal Fei Changfang.

However, things have not been smooth. After Huan Jing explained his intention,

Fei Changfang refused Huan Jings request. So Huan Jing knelt outside Fei

Changfang for two days and two nights. At last, Fei Changfang was moved by Huan

Jings sincerity and accepted him as an apprentice and taught him various

skills. On the ninth day of September the next year, Fei Changfang reckoned that

the pestilence would enter the southern city again and harm people. He ordered

Huan Jing to give him some dogwood leaves and chrysanthemum wine and send him

back to zhuangnang city. When Huan Jing arrived in Zhuangnan, he took the people

to the mountain, and let everyone drink chrysanthemum wine, and filled the

mountain with Cornus. After that, Huan Jing stood in front of the mountain with

a knife. After a while, the pestilence came as expected. It wanted to go up the

mountain and eat people. Huan Jing stopped him, so they fought together. The

smell of Cornus and dogwood is not stable for a few rounds. He raised a knife

from the mountain. The plague devil was removed, and the people in Nancheng

finally lived a comfortable life. Since then, in order to commemorate September

9, people have designated September 9 as the Double Ninth Festival. On this day,

people will climb high with their families, fill the mountains with Cornus and

drink chrysanthemum wine to pray for themselves and their families. This is the

origin of the Double Ninth Festival on September 9.

I like this legend best, because I think Huanjings persistence and bravery

are worth learning.

In Chinese lunar calendar, July 7th is a romantic day for the young people,

which is called Qixi Festival that is also referred to the Chinese Valentine’s

Day. This festival has been the tradition and many young people celebrate it in

their own way. What’s more, the government listed Qixi Festival as the

intangible cultural heritage.

The origin of Qixi Festival is about a romantic story. It was said that in

the ancient time, a beautiful young lady who was an immortal came to the men’s

world. She fell in love with an ordinary man. But there was limitation between

immortal and human being, so they were separated by the lady’s parents. Their

love story moved a lot of people and the girl’s parents decided to let this

couple meet on July 7th every year.

Today, When Qixi Festival comes, the single ladies and men will try to ask

the one they like out. They want to have a date and show their likeness. So they

know each other’s heart if they say yes on that day. The romantic atmosphere can

be sensed everywhere and we are enjoying it.

从我能记事的日子，春节的喜庆气氛就萦绕在心里头了。仍旧念念不忘，儿时，心中那份对春节的焦切啊! From the days when I can remember, the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival lingers in my heart.I still miss it, when I was a child, the focus of the Spring Festival in my heart!

因为，在春节，总能穿上盼了一年的新衣服，能吃着平时吃不到的密糖，能肆无忌惮地和小伙伴在村头村尾来回追逐。总之，春节里的乐子到处可寻，从家里到户外，从河畔到篱墙，满是的。

家里头也常常因为春节的到来而忙活起来了。这时候大人们也会放下手中的农务，聚在一起帮着做过年的准备。那时，我清楚地记着一张张火红的窗花儿，窗户上，灰墙上，木门上，一簇簇地，相拥着绽放，美极了。这些窗花儿是奶奶的巧手作。

平时，只需几叠红纸和一把剪子，便能呈现出各不相同的妙处来，我也常常地帮着掺和，虽只是剪出一个大概的模样来，也能把自己逗得合不扰嘴，而奶奶却总是笑着先赞不绝口，说是小小年纪，便心灵手巧。我自是不懂的了，然而却也知道是好话，因此，便会把这小小的窗花儿同那洋洋自得的心情一起收藏起来……

馋嘴是自小的毛病了，其实也怨不得我，对我们来说过年最盼的是吃上团子，又奈那团子实在美味，有时狼吞虎咽下几个，竟不知那滋味如何。于是，大人们便会开我的玩笑，说是别吃多了，小心把肚子撑破。我自然怕了，强忍着唾津的泛滥，却硬是不肯伸手去拿就怕团子多了从我的肚子里咕噜咕噜滚出来，怪吓人的。

团子固然美味，可在我，更多的趣味却在做米团子，为此，家里要在几天前准备好苇叶，等到当天，便泡在热水里，飘出一股沁香，我常蹲在盆边，想像是那苇叶如小船一起一伏，是颇有趣的。大人们这时会把白面倒在匾里加些水，揉出些面团，捏成小碗状，然后夹一筷子满满的馅料放在里面，之后封口，一个团子便大功告成了。

这时侯，我站在一边，觉得颇有意思的这总会诱起我的好奇心，我总会嚷嚷着向大人们要些面团，这个时候，他们自是拗不过我的。我于是像得了宝似的在一旁自娱自乐起来，不是帮着包团子，而是胡乱捏些形状再作一番想像，竟也衍出生不少的趣味和笑话。常常会忘了洗手便去擦脸结果自是一道白，两道白的大花猫了。蒸团子则更有趣，那时是放在灶上蒸疑似快活的神仙，飘飘欲仙的了，大人们在外头，也是带着乐意呵斥几声，便权不当作什么无礼的事了。等米团子出了笼，自又是我欢欣的时候了。

夜晚，看着满天缤纷的烟火，夜幕也被晕染得色彩斑斓，地上跑着明亮的兔子灯，响着欢快的炮仗声，人们吃着喷香的团子，笑着乐着，彻夜无眠。

不管是在学习还是在生活上，妈妈都对我很严厉。有时候我会恨妈妈。当时，我才八岁，这是一棵小树刚刚萌发出种子的年纪，妈妈就让我洗自己的袜子。刚刚开始洗得时候，我就像一个初出茅庐的小孩，什么都不懂，妈妈就给我演示了一遍，就叫我按图索骥，照着样子学。

虽然有一个印象了，但是实际操作还是不够熟练，所以，我只能勉强洗洗，但是洗得不怎么干净。洗久了后，我也慢慢从不懂到熟练了，但是，我并不喜欢这个活，就开始厌倦了。有时候，我就不洗了，可是不洗我就没得穿了，原本我还以为妈妈会帮帮我，没想到妈妈却无动于衷。

我就觉得妈妈对我非常狠心，对我很冷漠。随着时光的流逝，我也渐渐懂得了妈妈当时为什么要这么做，妈妈原来是想锻炼我的独立能力。长大了以后，始终都要离开妈妈，自己一个人去独立生活，为了一个人能在社会上站住脚，就要从小培养这种独立能力。这，我才明白了妈妈当时的用意。

我的母亲是一个非常热心肠的人。但她却非常怕麻烦人家。每当我借了同学的书回家，她都要把我劈头盖脸地批评一顿。但每当人家每次找她帮忙的时候，她不假思索就答应了，并且一点都不含糊。我经常非常不解，这到底是为什么?我曾猜想过无数次：难道是妈妈胆小?还是妈妈害羞?至今，我也不明白，也许这是她的为人处事吧!

我的母亲就是这样一个人，但我永远爱她!

I like the winter holiday very much.Though its very shortI can enjoy the

Spring Festival.I can watch cartoon every day.

I neednt go to school frepuently.Sometimes I can go to play with my friend

outside.With the festival comingI can play all the time.I can play video game

with my brother.I am good at playing PC game.

So I often beats my brother.Then more and more relative came to my home.We

had dinner together.Its so lively that Iam very happy.But I still have to do my

homework.

"五一"劳动节趣事今年的五一节，我过的非高兴，过节这几天我做了许多有意义的事玩的也非常开心。这几天妈妈带我去了许多地方，有五四广场、海底世界，其中我最喜欢去的地方是青岛市图书馆。

五月四日上午十点多钟，妈妈带我乘座33路公交车来到了位于山东路和延吉路交界的青岛市图书馆，刚一下车，我便被眼前的一座平顶的巨大建筑物惊呆了，啊!这就是青岛市图书馆，它比我想象的要大多了，我想这么大一个图书馆，里面肯定象我家附近的书城一样有许多人，有很多书。我怀着好奇的心情跟随着妈妈走进了图书馆，一进大门便看到门口有一个很大的图书馆布局指示图，他将整个馆内图书的存放位置介绍的清清楚楚，旁边是自动存包处。我们将包存好后边根据指示来到了图书借阅大厅，进了大厅我发现这里并不象我想象的那样，里面虽然人很多但非常宁静，大家各自静悄悄的专心阅读着自己借阅的图书。我学着妈妈的样子将我需要的书名告诉了图书馆的阿姨，阿姨很快就通过电脑查找到了我所要图书，随后我抱着借来的图书跟着妈妈来到了阅览室，找到位置坐下学着大人的样子，静静的阅读起了图书。

时间过的很快，不知不觉就过去了2个小时，在这段时间里我看了我借来7、8本图书。这时妈妈悄悄的对我说要带我回家吃饭了，我只好依依不舍的随着妈妈离开了图书馆。在回家的路上，我恳求妈妈答应我以后要常常带我来图书馆看书。今天我的收获很大，从书本上我学到了很多知识，今天是我又开心又难忘的一天。

Children’s education has been concerned by the public all the time. As they

are the future and will decide a country’s destiny, so the environment matters

so much to them. Most parents expect the school can provide the children a good

learning environment and ignore the importance of home education.

School provides the children a direct stage to receive education. In the

school, the teachers pass knowledge and educate them the right value. The

children know their task and as everybody around them focus the attention on

study, so they are affected by each other and have the strong desire to

learn.

Home education is easy to be ignored by most parents, they think it is the

teachers’ duty to educate children. Actually, most criminal teenagers have

family issues. Parents haven’t set good example for the kids. Sometimes they are

even the trouble makers. Without love, teenagers won’t grow up as the strong

people.

Both school and family environment are important for the children, and they

need to be nurtured with the good examples and learn knowledge.
