My son Joey was born with club feet. The doctors assured us that with treatment he would be able to walk normally — but would never run very well. The first three years of his life were spent in surgery, casts and braces. By the time he was eight, you wouldnt know he had a problem when you saw him walk .

The children in our neighborhood ran around as most children do during play, and Joey would jump right in and run and play, too. We never told him that he probably wouldnt be able to run as well as the other children. So he didnt know.

In seventh grade he decided to go out for the cross—country team. Every day he trained with the team. He worked harder and ran more than any of the others — perhaps he sensed that the abilities that seemed to come naturally to so many others did not come naturally to him. 每一个人的梦想都是不同的.有的人的梦想是当一名宇航员去太空遨游，有的人的梦想是当一名教师教书育人，有的人的梦想是当一名科学家创造发明更多高科技产品……而我一直以来的梦想是当一名医生救死扶伤。

有些人可能会说医生有什么了不起，可是医生可以帮助人们解除肉体上的疼痛和心灵上的痛苦。通过医生的治疗，人们健康、开心的活着，医生也感到很有成就感。

我想当一名医术高超，什么病都能治好的医生。行走不便的老爷爷、老奶奶，经过我的治疗，可以正常的走路;眼睛失明的小孩子，经过我的治疗，可以重见光明;高血压患者，经过我的治疗，血压恢复正常;糖尿病患者，经过我的治疗，血糖恢复正常，再也不用每天打针吃药;还有那些癌症患者，无论是胃癌、肝癌，还是食道癌、肺癌，经过我的治疗，癌细胞都被杀死，身体恢复健康。

但是，现在医生的医术还不是很高超，一但病情恶化，医生也没有办法，但只要有一丝希望，医生就不会放弃。

医生是一个神圣的职业。我立志要好好学习，掌握好每一门功课，争取长大了能考入医学院，当一名治病救人的白衣天使，造福与人，服务与人。
