有那么威武的名字，却是一种藤类植物。它附在光滑的墙上，细细长长的枝条上长满了小叶子，好像给墙壁铺了一张花绿色的毛毯，它那尖尖的小叶子下面藏着一双双小脚丫，如同婴儿般的嫩红色，紧紧吸附在墙上，怎么也不会掉下来。

冬天来的时候，爬山虎的叶子都掉了，只剩下一根茎紧紧贴在墙上。但是春姑娘一来到人间，爬山虎又长出嫩叶，由红到嫩绿，爬山虎的叶子长得十分茂盛，叶尖一直朝下，在墙上铺得那么均匀，不重叠，也不留一点空隙。一阵微风吹过，一墙的叶随风舞蹈，好像湖面上的水纹，好看极了！

爬山虎没有牡丹那样华贵，没有玫瑰那样娇艳，也许你要说它不美，但它却给人以力量。我把它当成我的好朋友，每当我在学习中遇到困难，正想偷懒时，一想到爬山虎那种奋发向上的精神和坚强不屈的意志，就感到羞愧。这时，我就会立即振奋起来，鼓起勇气来战胜所有的困难。

勇于攀爬，不停向上是爬山虎最大的追求，也是我喜欢爬山虎最大的原因，如果我一直发扬爬山虎的精神，好好学习，天天向上，还有什么学不好的知识呢？
