There is a big skating ground near our school. In winter, I often go skating there, and I enjoy the sport very much.

我家门前有一棵玉兰树，上面开满了玉兰，远远看去就像一把撑开的白花大伞。走近一点，就能看见一朵又一朵的玉兰轻轻摆动，似乎是年轻的少女跳着欢乐的舞蹈。再走近一点，就可以看见一片又一片的花瓣从“天”上洒落，如同一阵又一阵的花雨轻盈地降落在“花床”上。

长大了一点，我才发现玉兰花是没有叶子的。妈妈告诉我：“玉兰花是先叶开花的植物，意思就是先开花后长叶。”又长大了一些，我又发现玉兰之所以叫“玉兰”，也许是因为它像玉一样惹人喜爱。闻闻，是一种清香；看看，纯白简洁；摸摸，是玉石的丝滑，它让我感受到一种高贵的，只有玉石才配得上的气质。

春天是一位厨师，她一来，就给玉兰树做出一盆又一盆的甘露。玉兰树“咕咚咕咚”地喝了好多，她的小娃娃慢慢长大，终于有一天，它们破“壳”而出，长出片片花瓣。我抬着头看着满树的“玉兰宝宝”；它们太可爱了，白里透红的皮肢，圆乎乎的身体。我脚一踮，看得更清楚了。我向玉兰喊到“玉兰宝宝，你真可爱！”

我搬来一把椅子，拿来一本有趣的故事书，坐在树下津津有味地看了起来。我想：这样真快活，闻着玉兰花的清香看书，我要好好保护你们长大，及时地为你们浇水、施肥。现在，我要用给它们讲故事的方法回报。我马上读了起来。这时，玉兰花的阴影从我的头上移到了书上，正投在我所读的地方。

我真想变成一只杜鹃，在这棵树上闻着花香，看着花歌唱，在玉兰花之间欢快地飞翔。
