My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

Life In Vacation

It was a sun day of the summer holiday. The weather was hot. My little brother and I decided to go to the resrvoir to swim by bike. It took us half an hour when we got there, many people were swimming. The we dived into the water……

About an hour later, suddenly somebody called: “help! help!” We were surprised to see a boy struggling in the deep water. As quickly as possible. We swam towards him and pulled him to the shore. He lost his consciousness. We sent him to the nearest hospital at once luckily, he was saved.

In the end, we were worn out, but felt happy. That day was meaningful. We did a good deed!

Great Changes in My Hometown I used to live in a small town with trees all around. There was no tall building and the only street was narrow. Just outside the town， there was a river. You can see different kinds of fish swimming in the clear water. People here lived a simple life. Great changes have taken place here. You can see tall buildings， big department stores and factories everywhere. Different kinds of cars and buses are running in the big streets. But with the development of the industry， we have fewer trees. Air and water pollution is becoming more and more serious. 腊月二十三是小年，这一天灶王爷要离开人间，到天上去，去向玉皇大帝禀报一家人这一年的所作所为。所以家家户户都要送灶神，我们还可以吃香甜可口的灶糖，同时，每家每户都已经开始准备年货。

腊月二十八，家家户户都要贴“福”字、对联和门神等年画，这可以满足人们欢喜的美好愿望，还可以把自己的家里装点一下，让别人一进来就感觉到新年的味道。从这一天开始，家家户户都要蒸我们家乡特有的花糕，还要蒸一个又大又圆的花糕来祭拜祖先，花糕还必须等到过完春节才能吃，虽然大家很忙，但是还非常的快乐。

除夕是最值得我们庆贺的时刻，在这个晚上大家都会在家里吃团圆饭，一起看精彩的春节联欢晚会，享受着团圆的乐趣。到了十二点，家家户户都点燃了烟花、爆竹，那些烟花各式各样，非常的漂亮。

从大年初一开始，大家都要去亲戚家和朋友家去做客、拜年，我们这些小孩子还可以收到压岁钱，别提有多高兴了，收到压岁钱后我们可以去买任何东西。

正月十五又是春节里一个重要的日子，家家户户都会挂火红火红的灯笼，吃汤圆，过完了这一天，年也就算过完了。正月十五其实是孩子们最快乐的一天，因为在这一天，他们可以得到童真，得到快乐，过一个无拘无束的节日。
