I used to go abroad for a short- term English study. During that time, I learned a lot of daily life English and saw a lot of different things.

I think language is very interesting. I could express one substance by using different sounds. So I wish I could study and read more English literatures and enlarge my knowledge.

日日夜夜，总是过得很快，日日年年，每年都很精彩。今年也是一样，不仅很快的过去了，而且还过得非常精彩，回忆起来，一天一夜都想不完。今天，我们终于盼到了一年的结束，新年到了!

欢欢喜喜过大年，是我们常说的一句话，里面蕴含着我们的对新年的高兴，盼望和期待，并且这里面还带着人们的一种热烈欢喜。

盼新年，我们终于要盼到了，今年，你准备怎么来过年呢?每次新年前夕，我们都喜欢布置一下家里，好在过年的时候增加许多的气氛，这已经是一种习俗了，并且许多人家还买了很多气球，挂在那墙壁的一角，还有，会买许多春联贴在门前，而且还剪许多的“福”字贴在自家的玻璃上，来增加我们的欢腾喜悦。这些传统习俗还有一个来历呢!

这就是年的故事，从前有一个怪兽，大家都非常怕他，在每年的结束，都要来各个村庄抓人吃，人们都很害怕，于是人们都要到山上避难，这年又到了尾声，人们收拾包袱准备到山上避难，大家都走了，只有一个老人留了下来，还没来得及走，有一个人就来了，说：“老人家，你让我住一个晚上，我就让你俺再也不来骚扰你们。”老人听了，笑了笑，只好信了。这天晚上，老人把家里布置的红红火火，这是年轻人吩咐的，年来到了村庄，看到老人家里有人便进去，看到一一片红色，他有些害怕，有听到了批了吧啦的声音，他吓呆了，慌忙的走了。从此人们知道了年的弱点，便在家里布置好，年就不敢来了，于是就成了习俗。
