Chinese New Year or Spring Festival  the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It  sometimes called the "Lunar New Year" by Englh speakers. The Fascinating Moonrise

Each, like fine music, excited my heart and then calmed my soul.

Still, it tugs at our minds.

The drama took an hour. Moonrise is slow and serried with subtleties. To watch it, we must slip into an older, more patient sense of time.

To watch the moon move inflexibly higher is to find an unusual stillness within ourselves. Our imaginations become aware of the vast distance of space, the immensity of the earth and the huge improbability of our own existence. We feel small but privileged.

Moonlight shows us none of life’s harder edges. Hillsides seem silken and silvery, the oceans still and blue in its light. In moonlight we become less calculating, more drawn to our feelings.

This is also the time when our memories are best.We are able to learn more

during this time than when we become older. During our younger years, we have

the enthusiasm to set high goals for ourselves. We also try to overcome

obstacles which are placed in our way.

If we realize how precious youth is, we will be fulfilled when we are young

as well as when we are older. If we waste our youth, we will spend the rest of

our lives wishing we could be young again.

I have a small family of three people.They are,of course,my parents and I.Both my parents are middle school teachers.My father is a Chinese teacher and my mother is a teacher of English.They are very busy with their work every day.I am a junior middle school student and I am a top one in my class.

Among the three main subjects,my favourite one is English.And I always help my classmates with their English.Also I am good at Chinese,for my father is very strict with me in my study.But we are good friends at home.We help each other and love each other.I enjoy my family life very much.

北京三日游 A Three-day Tour to Beijing

Last month I went to Beijing to visit one of my friends, because we haven’t seen each other for about two years and I got a holiday meanwhile. It is my first time to visit Beijing, which is always the dream city for all the Chinese. All the information about the city came from the books and TV, now I could see and get know of it by myself, how excited I am!

上个月我去北京看望我的一个朋友，因为我们有将近两年没见，而我刚好有假期。这是我第一次游览北京，这座全中国人都向往的城市。我对北京的所以认知都来自电视和书本，而现在我有机会亲自来看这个城市、来了解她。我多么地兴奋！

There were so many tourist areas in my plan list, like Tian’anmen Square, Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Perking University and so on. However, due to my short holiday I only visit several places of my list, with my friend’s companion. The whole village has been working day and night gathering and threshing this year‘s crop before the September rains. On the right, you can see Mrs. Brabante herself. She has been helping her husband for thirty years now. Mrs. Brabante is talking to the manager of the local factory where the crop is processed. This last scene shows you what will happen at the end of the harvest: the famous Calabrian macaroni-eating competition! Signor Fratelli, the present champion, has won it every year since 1991. And that ends our special bulletin for today, Thursday, April lst. We‘re now going back to the studio.
