which the character is built. Accordingly, to a large extent, the basic nature

I think reading is important in the whole life for people. There are many

benefits of reading.

Firstly, reading increases our knowledge and we can learn the world affairs

I like reading books so much, rencently, I fall in love with the travel

books. When I open these books, I am attracted by the colorful pictures. Reading

these books can broaden my vision, I know there are so many places that I have

never heard of before. I also learn the different culture. I am so eager to go

to these places and have a look at them. So I have made up my mind, I will

travel to the places that are around me first, and then when I grow up, I will

travel further. This is my little dream, it is also my motivation to study

It seems we are living in the conflict between modern and traditional

Today is Mid-autumn Day. I have a big meal at home with my parents and

relatives. This is an important festival， so my mother was busy with preparing

the dinner from morning. She bought a lot of foods for the dinner. We ate the

dinner at 5：30 p.m.. The dinner was very delicious. I was so full. After dinner，

Before I went to middle school, I lived with my grandparents. At that time,

Our Librar is a busy place.It is open every day from8:00--12:00 in the

morning and from 1:30--5:30 in the after-noon,except on Sundays.

The library contains a large variety of books. in it you will find both

literary and scientific and technical books in Chinese and in foreign

languages.In this building too,are reading-rooms with newspapers and

magazines.Perhaps English books account for over a half of those in foreign

lanuages.

We often go there to look for books which we want to borrow or to read

articles which we like to consult.Our library provides all useful reading matter

and reference materials according to our needs.Although we do not subscribe to

any magazines or newspapers,we are well informed about the recent developments

and new trends in the world as well as in our country.The library plays an

important role in our college life.

No sooner had the summer vacation begun than I returned to my native town.

Of course I must make good use of it; otherwise I would incur the displeasure of

In the morning I reviewed my lessons and read newspapers or magazines. In

The Differences of Education between China and U.S

Based on checking the extensive literature and summing up the evidence, it is clear that study about differences of higher education between China and US has carried out a lot which mainly explaines the differences from different aspects of higher edcation between China and the United States. Comparing the elementary education between American and China, peoples universal view will be: Chinas elementary education aims to build the foundation of education with more study and less thought; while USs education aims to bulid such an education to raise the creativity with less study and more thought. Now Chinese students are generally regarded as intalents with few intelligence and high scores. What causes for such a view? Because the Chinese students study more, actually pay little attention to the practice, and cannot study for the purpose of application. Therefore, it is very important for Chinese higher education to cultivate the idea of unifying the study and prctice.

USs education pays more attention to raise students self-confidence,independence,spirit of supporting oneself, but Chinas education emphases on training the students to be strict,rigorous spiritual.Obviously, Chinese education may fruitfully develop and ultilize the function of cerebrum, but US’s higher education could expand the function of cerebrum by ultilizing and synthesizing the information outside.

Each national higher education as economic system’s reflection serves for the economy; US education aims to adapt for society demand, they explicitly stipulate three big functions including education’s service for the economic development, scientific research and teaching. kids in britain also dress up at halloween. they visit houses, sing songs or tell a joke to get sweets. many go to halloween parties and play games like "ducking for apples". you must pick up an apple in water but you can only use your mouth. try it!

We are always trying to find the way to success, which stands for power,

pride and glory. There have been strings of stories of success I was told since

I was a child. From then on, I have been fascinated with being successful.

Whatsuccess? Different people have different opinions towards this

question. To start with, some people, such as accountants, workers and so on,

are longing for being rich, which allows them buy what they want, and enjoy

luxury. They treat it as success. Furthermore, some contestants, such as boxers,
