Im so happy today because I got RMB 3,000 in "Lucky Money. "Grandpa alone gave me RMB 1,000. I must try to save this for college though and not waste it. But I think Ill allow myself to use part of it to buy a new dress tomorrow and then Ill put the rest un the bank.

今天我很高兴，因为我拿了三千元的红包。 祖父一个人就给了我一千元。 我必须尽量存起来以后作上大学之用而不去花掉。 不过我想我会让自己明天用一部分钱去买一件新衣服，然后将其他的钱存到银行里去。

Everybody wishes (hopes) to get money so that he can maintain his

livelihood。 In other words， money is so useful that it is impossible for mankind

to live without it。 For this reason， we have an interesting proverb。 It says

“Money can make the world go around。” In a word， money is more powerful than

anything else。

However， money should not be wasted。 It must be used for (some) proper

purposes。 We young men should form the good habit of not spending money in the

wrong way。

每个人为了能够维持生活，所以都期望得到钱。换句话说，钱是十分有用，所以没有它人类即无法生活。基于此种理由，我们有一句搞笑的谚语。它说有“钱能使鬼推磨”。一言以蔽之，钱比任何另外的东西更有力量。

然而，钱不就应被浪费掉。它务必用于正当的用途上。我们青年人就应养成不乱花钱的好习惯。

每个人都有自己要感恩的人。有的感恩老师，感谢他们的教育之恩；有的感恩父母，感谢他们的养育之恩；有的感恩朋友，感谢他们的友谊之情。而我要感恩的人是一直默默支持我，鼓励着我的人——我亲爱的爸爸。

每当我遇到困难，想要放弃的时候，爸爸总是鼓励我：孩子你要相信自己，你一定能行。

记的有一次，爸爸骑着电动带我回家，我突然想学骑电动车，但又不敢骑，爸爸好像看出了我的心思，便问我说：“树展你是不是想骑电动车？”我说：“想，但我不敢骑。”爸爸好奇地问：“为什么？”我说：“上次我偷学骑电动车，因为没有控制好车把，就一下子撞到树上，幸好没有什么大碍，所以我不敢再骑电动车了。”爸爸说：“这可不行，你要学会相信自己，有一句名言说的好‘失败是成功之母吗’没有失败哪来的成功呀！这次有我在后面扶着，肯定没事的，放心吧。”听了爸爸的话我充满了信心，我骑上了电车，爸爸先是在后面扶着，细心地传授技巧，等我慢慢地适应了后，爸爸就松开了手，让我一路骑车回家去了……自从这件事以后，我明白了：做事情要有信心，要相信自己能行。

如果我是一株小草，那爸爸的鼓励就是春天的雨露；如果我是一棵树苗，那爸爸的鼓励就是滋养我的土壤；如果我是一只蝴蝶那爸爸的鼓励就是飞翔的翅膀！

我的成长离不开爸爸的关心和帮助，我永远感恩父亲。

A Letter to My Dear Father

Dear father,

This Sunday is Father’s Day. I am very happy. I’m writing a letter for you now. But my classmates are playing games.

Today is rainy. Please take care. Do you know? My study is good. There fore, don’t worry about my study. I have a good news to tell you. I have won the second award at the piano competition. Are you happy ?

On the weekend, I usually go hiking on the Song Shan Lake. We are very happy. But after we walk for a long time, we feel a little tired. When the sun goes down, we return home. I like going hiking. What about you?
