Mike is bad at English. Yesterday, he had an English test. He failed again. He dared not tell his mother the low marks. On his way home, it rained heavily. So he got a good idea. Pressure seems to be a natural part in our daily life in this competitive

society. Like it or not there is always pressure of one kind or another. And it

seems there is hardly any way to avoid it or get rid of it. Moreover, as the

pace of modern life continues to quicken, pressure seems to be on the increase

all the time.

Different people have different ideas about pressure. Some hold that

pressure is something very vicious. If there is too much of it, it will lead to

the decline of ones physical and mental health. So they are always complaining

about it or trying to flee from it. They think, only relaxation, the opposite of

pressure, is what we should desire. On the other hand, others argue that

pressure is not as bad as is often thought. In fact a certain amount of pressure

is essential to provide motivation and meaning to our life. It is pressure that

propels our progress and contributes to our success.

Personally, Im in favor of the latter idea. I believe that a little

pressure is certainly an important incentive in life. It is only when the

pressure gets out of control can it lead to poor performance and bad health.

Since it is impossible to avoid pressure, certainly there is no sense trying to

do so or complaining about it.

暑假期间，有的人观赏了波涛汹涌的大海；有的人攀登了高耸入云的山峰；有的人游玩了壮丽秀美的风景区；有的人学习了外地的传统文化。这些事在我脑海中并不深刻，最令我难忘的是在外婆家抓虾、河蚌的那一个下午。

在老家后面有一条潺潺的小河，今年暑假我去拿那条小河里抓“野味”。一路上牵牛花向我们频频点头，紫红色的裙子随风舞动。小草向我们问好，树在欢迎着我们的到来，阳光在为我们指路，不一会儿便到了。

清澈见底的溪流在阳光辉映下映出了五彩光芒，我们选择了一处隐蔽处作为地点。外婆用篮子在水中阴暗、不被阳光照到的地方、水草多的地方兜了一下，哈哈，小虾们成功被“捕”。我也试了一下，哎，心太急了。慢慢的，我抓到的小虾越来越多，篮子都快满了。

我们有去抓河蚌。旁边一位老奶奶教我们怎么摸：先往水中抓一把，再仔细分辨那些是河蚌。果然，一抓一大把。由此，我们便分工合作。我来摸，妈妈挑选，外婆抓小虾。河蚌大多都很小，只抓了3个大的。我问妈妈：“妈妈，河蚌为什么不会动呢？”妈妈回答我：“河蚌其实在动的，只不过很慢。它并不像鱼游的很快，它是靠斧足运动的。你可以仔细观察，就会发现。”我用心观察，果真如此。

在不经意间，太阳悄悄落山了。我们带着食物满载而归，伴着一路夕阳。阳光下，把我们的影子拉得很长很长……

暑假生活还真是多姿多彩！

大清早，知了就高声大叫，告诉人们又一个火热的夏天开始了。夏天暑气逼人，街上的树也像病了似的，耷拉着脑袋，似乎也在祈祷着夏天快点过去。平日里娇艳美丽的花朵，也被这火红的太阳折服了。而我呢，在家里却是十分逍遥快活，每天都自由自在的，还想起一件趣事，让我忍不住笑出了声。

记得那天，我独自在家看电视，可频道换来换去都只是那几个节目，实在无聊死了。我想来想去这么热的天，玩什么好呢?我环视了一圈家里，目光最终锁在了那两天新买的金鱼身上。

我拿出鱼饲料，往里面倒了两粒，两条鱼争先恐后地吃着，我望着金鱼想着：这鱼饲料真这么好吃吗?边想我就往嘴里塞了一粒。呀!实在太难吃了，鱼难道就喜欢吃这个?不可能。我们吃面时，也先会往里面加调料，肯定是粗心的妈妈忘买鱼吃的调料了，不过没关系，就让我来给金鱼做一顿大餐吧!

说干就干，我一路小跑到厨房，拿出许多妈妈做饭用的调料，什么醋、盐、豆瓣酱……通通拿出来，我像个大厨一样，有模样地把所有调料和着鱼饲料倒进鱼缸中，还用勺子轻轻搅拌，只见水一会儿呈红色，一会儿呈黑色，最终变成了墨绿色，我高兴地看着自己的“杰作”不一会儿，便累得睡着了。

突然，我似乎听到有人叫我，我刚睁开朦胧的双眼，妈妈就指着鱼缸凶巴巴的说：“这是怎么回事?”我顺着手指看向那两条鱼，发现那两条鱼浮在水面上，死了!我把刚刚做的事，一五一十地告诉了妈妈，妈妈听了大笑起来说：“傻孩子，鱼是鱼，人是人，这两者怎能混谈呢?”

俗话说“上有天堂，下有苏杭”，今年暑假我想去杭州。父母为了丰富我的课余生活，决定今年暑假带我去杭州玩。

我们到西湖的那天还下着小雨，但是在雨中游西湖应该会别有一番风味吧!我们先去了“三潭印月”，我远望着“断桥残雪”和“雷峰塔”。雷峰塔是用来镇压白娘子的，我之前看过《新白娘子传奇》，里面就讲了雷峰塔是怎么镇压白娘子的。说道“断桥残雪”，我还以为是真的桥断了呢，后来听爸爸说是雪落到了桥上，太阳只照到桥的一半，桥这边的雪化了，那边的没化，所以我们看到的桥像断了一样。哦，原来是这样，真有趣。

游船靠岸，我们来到了“三潭印月”，三潭印月又名小瀛洲，与湖心亭，阮公墩称为湖上三岛，所以取名为“三潭印月”。全岛连水面在内，面积约7公顷，南北由桥相通，东西土堤相连，桥堤呈“十字交叉”，将岛上水面一分为四，从空中看就像一个“田”字。

后来我们去了“花港观鱼”，那里的鱼，数不胜数，大的，小的，红的，黑的，花的，小鱼们有的在吃食，有的在戏水，有的在吐泡泡。我边玩边给它们喂食，真是高兴得不亦乐乎。雨丝飘洒，湖面上雾气蒙蒙，水天一色，人在湖中像置身在仙境一般。

在爸爸的引导下，我们又去了灵隐寺和岳庙。古刹气势宏伟，忠烈祠肃穆凝重。

从岳庙出来，不远就是“曲院风荷”，这里连着苏堤。在雨雾的笼罩下，这里的景色十分凄美，让人的心情不知不觉的也沉重下来。正当我们有些伤感准备离开的时候，突然从荷叶里飘出一叶小舟，令人眼前一亮，只见船夫穿着蓑衣，唱着地方方言的歌，眼前的这幅画面，让我想起了我们曾经学过的一首诗：《渔歌子》。

沿着西湖岸，我们继续往前走，眼前出现了一个特大号的“喷泉”，只见一个大水柱一下子冲上了天，又像下雨似的从天空上落下来，真的是大珠小珠落玉盘!最后我们来到了西湖的又一处景点，“苏堤春晓”。站在堤上往回看“曲院风荷”，竟是另一幅景色：水，雾和雨丝的整体画卷。这种朦胧的神秘的美，使我置身与仙境之中，流连忘返。

这就是我的暑假生活，今年的暑假是快乐的是令人难忘的。

Many years ago, I saw the movie Harry Porter and I was so impressed by it. The magical world was so wonderful that I wanted to live there. My thoughts were so active that I always dreamed about myself walking in the magical world and taking the risk. So I decided to write down the things I dreamed about and then made these become a book. This is my little dream, when the book is finished, I want to read them to my friends and my brother. 暑假里的事就像天上的星星一样，数也数不清，但令我最难忘的一件事就是这一件事。

在暑假里的一个星期，我、妈妈、弟弟和奶奶一起去宜昌游玩。

这天，我们要去三个位置，上午去天下第一洞——“金狮洞”和“情人洞”，下午要去神农架最著名的瀑布——“三峡大瀑布”。

因为我们太兴奋了，所以早上六点就起床了。然后，我们就坐大巴车去爬山。

接着我们又到了情人洞，情人洞比金狮洞更好玩呢！一进去我们看见了彩色的风景，然后又经历了好多探险，有走独木桥，有爬还有很天梯，还有很窄的“一线天”，还有……我们围着美丽又惊险的情人洞绕了一大圈，走到了出口。

最后，我们来到了宜昌最著名的三峡大瀑布。大瀑布可大了，从高高的山上奔下来，大瀑布旁边还有许许多多的小瀑布。忽然我看见有很多人从大瀑布里穿过去，我就也想从大瀑布里穿过去。我问妈妈：“能不能从大瀑布里穿过去？”妈妈答应了，说：“好吧！”

我兴冲冲地跑到大瀑布旁边，穿上雨衣，然后穿过大瀑布。在大瀑布里我觉得好高兴，因为瀑布冲下来的时候，感觉又凉爽又惊险又好玩。穿过瀑布以后，我们就原路返回。

暑假的一天,天气很热,我和弟弟就在家里砸塑料球,我们在客厅里,一人站一头。

First, I think it’s very important to do everything on time and keep promises. Never lie to others or say dirty words. Next we should be polite to others and ready to help people in need. These are lots of books in our daily life. Some are about history, some are

novels, and some are even about the dream in the future. I think its useful to

read stories, because it can be used sometimes. Once, there was a very difficult

question in an important history exam history, which wasnt mentioned in our

history books, even our teacher has never told us about it. But I remembered

clearly that I had read it in a history story, so I answered the question

without difficulty and became the only student in our class who answered the

question correctly. In my view, its useful to read stories.

今天是正月初一，家家户户都要包饺子。我们家也不例外，到了中午，妈妈把饺皮、饺馅准备好，我们就开始包饺子了。

刚开始时，我信心百倍，可是我刚包好一个饺子，都已经是“满身是面”。我迫于无奈，只好系上围裙包饺子。爸爸妈妈都说我像是一个“大厨师”。

起初，我包的饺子各个都是“疲劳过度”，各个歪歪扭扭、横七竖八、难看致极。没办法，我只好停工，观察爸爸妈妈怎样包饺子。

我观察了好一会儿，可是收获甚微。我没有办法，只好硬着头皮包饺子，但那些饺皮、饺馅一点儿都不听我的话。我让它朝东它偏朝西，我让它朝西它偏朝东。这不，一个饺子刚包好，饺馅就露了出来。

“失败乃是成功之母”，我毫不气馁，又开始包饺子了。

我先把肉馅放进饺皮里，把饺皮四周包的严严实实，不留一点儿缝隙。这样，一个饺子就包好了！我越包越漂亮，真是熟能生巧！

后来，爸爸妈妈都夸我包的真漂亮！我十分高兴！通过这件事，使我明白了一个道理：只要有信心，什么事情都能做好。
