As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a true story.

When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.

university is so busy that I wonder if my energy is enough. As to my college

life, I divide it into four parts, including study, student activities, library

We middle school students have had many tests or exams. We have both achieved success and suffered from failure. Different students take different attitudes to failure.

Some fall in low spirits when they dont do well in the exams. They usually lose heart and no longer study hard as before. But most students take an active attitude towards failure. They encourage themselves to be self-confident. They found out and analyze the causes so that they will no longer make similar mistakes.

I agree with those with active attitudes. As we all know, failure is the mother of success. Even great men have failed many times before they succeeded. So we must deal with our failure correctly.

我有个很好的朋友，她们家住在城市的郊区，而我们学校在市中心的位置，过年的时候，我们即将面临小升初的考试，她们家长为了让她好好的复习，不要在上学的路上浪费时间，于是她们家长就在我们学校门口租了一个不大不小的房子，租期为半年，等到我们考试结束了，她们就不租了。

在周末的时候，我应邀去她们家里玩。一进门我就发现她们组的房子是经过精心布置的，屋里子的花花草草都整整齐齐的，一个个小物件放的也是心思巧妙，她们将这个小小的居室刷墙换灯，摆放的家具也是十分的精致，并且一看就是新买的。

我觉得好朋友的家长有一种很好的生活态度，即使是在这里住上半年的时间，也要把日子过的十分的精致，去好朋友的家里做客，我真的是感受到了她们在用心生活。

婆婆这边有一家邻居，房子一直空了好几年都没人住。主人也没时间打理，院子里长满了荒草，还堆着一堆乱七八糟劈材之类的杂物，院子的门有一扇也坏掉了，歪扭着已经打不开了。唯有院子里的那颗石榴树独自五月花开，八月结果，即使没人理睬也依旧激情四射、生机勃勃的，到给那份荒凉添了一丝生气。

前年，这个房子终于租了出去，租房的是一家三口，儿子七八岁，很安静，男女主人总是很忙，下班也比较晚。这个院子除了他们一家活动的范围之内不再长荒草之外，其他一切照旧。这个房子住人和不住人时也没多大区别，给人的感觉依然是荒凉和没有生气。我每次回去，婆婆都忍不住给我叨叨两句 “你看看这一家子，住了都快一年了，也不知道拾掇拾掇。住在这样的环境里，连孩子都没了激情。你看看他家孩子安静的，都不像个孩子......."我无语笑笑，忍不住趴窗户去看。

去年，那家三口搬走了，房子空了两个来月后，又搬进来一家三口，这一次，气氛立马就不一样了，听婆婆说，这家人一住进来，就先里里外外彻底收拾了个遍，院子里的杂物该清的清理了，坏了的门扇也修好了，并重新刷过了油漆，那时正赶上是春天，他们在院子靠墙的地方开辟了一长溜的地，种了一架黄瓜，一架丝瓜，一架豆角，还种了几颗番茄秧，他们还从外面买回了几盆花花草草的，使这个院子立马就充满了不一样的气息，荒凉没有了，死气沉沉不见了，怎么看都是生机勃勃的一片。

其实，每个人的生活都是平凡的，只是，有的人把平凡的生活过成了平庸，而有的人却把平凡的生活过出了情趣。这，也许就是每个人对生活不同的态度吧。 懂生活的人，不在于他住哪里、住怎样的房子，住怎样的环境；懂生活的人即便是住简易帐篷、住茅草屋，想来也会把它们收拾的别具一格、温馨怡人、情趣盎然的吧！

a serious problem has arisen in recent several years that more and more college students abandon study because of their taking part-time jobs, so quite a few people are opposed to part-time jobs. however, taking part-time jobs has at least three benefits for college studens in my eyes.

first, students can promote their study through part-time jobs. for instance, if a law student finds a part-time job in a law firm, his practice will enable him to better understand what hes learned from books. whats more, the part-time job can offer him opportunities to go beyond what hes been taught in class, and hell learn something that doesnt eist in books but in practice.

second, students can also accumulate work eperiences through part-time jobs, which will benefit their future job-hunting. actually, part-time jobs act as warm-up eercises for students to take full-time jobs after they graduate, and help them prepare for their future careers. in addition, as fresh blood in the society, graduated students are often unfavored in job-hunting markets for lack of practical work eperiences. its easier to find jobs for those who have accumulated eperiences in part-time jobs.

its an undenied fact that students break the balance between their jobs and studies, especially when they fall into conflict with each other. but i think students should spend their spare time taking part-time jobs. only following this principle can they benefit from their part-time jobs.
