自从老妈发现了手机里的计步功能后，每天都不断地在坚持走路。但是老妈不久又有一个新的发现，可以通过摇手机增加步数。那天她摇了一万多下，所有在那个平台上登录的人都惊讶了，因为他们原来也只能走几千步。

那天晚上，妈妈的老同学给老妈打了个电话（她也在那个平台上）吃惊地问：“天哪！你是怎么走那么多步的？”老妈呵呵地笑了一声，把秘诀告诉了她。就这样老妈和那位阿姨只要一有空就会摇手机，老妈在开会的时候也会摇手机，我就想问老妈：您揺时间长了手不酸吗？

有一次，老妈懒得摇手机，便盯上了我这个正在玩电脑的路人甲，她笑眯眯地对我说：“铭泽，你来做一项作业吧！”我一边答应着妈妈，眼睛却不舍得离开电脑屏幕。“神马作业，只要不是写的就行。”老妈兴奋地说：“还正好不是写的。”于是我答应了老妈，但却不知老妈竟然给我布置了那么奇葩的作业——揺手机。

我一边摇，眼睛一边盯着电脑屏幕看，当我看电视剧到高潮时，却没有兴奋起来，因为平时我看电视剧到高潮的时候都会站起来欢呼。可现在因为一半的注意力被分散到手机上，没办法欢呼雀跃。再说了，我也怕自己兴奋时，一不留神会将老妈的手机扔出去。最后实在摇不动了，只好用手机敲打着腿，没想到，这样竟然也能增加步数，天哪！

奶奶进屋了，发现我拿着手机在敲腿，就心疼地问我为什么敲腿，当时我脸上没有表情只是轻轻摇了摇头。奶奶就赶紧去问老妈：“孩子是不是腿疼，怎么用手机敲腿？”妈妈倒是一脸淡定：“没事儿，铭泽在揺手机呢！”但奶奶还是有点疑惑：“敲手机干嘛？要不要还是去检查？”我连忙辩解，劝退了奶奶，要不就差一点被送到人民医院做检查了。

I am a December 2003 graduate from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a bachelors degree in International Business. As part of my career planning, I am very interested in supplementing my international business education with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language. I already have information from BLCU and hope to study there for at least one full year starting with this summers program continuing through the fall and spring semester 2006. Can your office advise me if such scholarships might be available to me?

I have been studying Chinese for one year now. I am not sure what level I belong to. I was told that there will be an HSK test in our university in September. I am planning to attend the test.
