I have a good friend. Her name is Betty. She a lovely girl. She is 14 years old . I`m one year older than her. Her eyes are bigger than mine. Her hair is black and long. My hair is longer than hers. Betty is 156 centimeters tall. Im two centimeters taller than her. She is about 40 kilos. Im 50 kilos. So she is thinner than me. Betty is a beautiful and helpful girl. She does better in English than me. She often helps me with my English. She has a lot of hobbies. She likes dancing very much. She wants to be a dancer one day. She dances beautifully. I can learn a lot from her. I think well be good friends forever.

We have not seen each other for a long time. I miss (think of) you very

much. I wish (that) I had wings and could fly to your home. However, this is

impossible!

Father (My father) has gone abroad of late. If I had had time then, I would

An Accident

One sunny afternoon, when I was merrily riding home, I heard "Help! Help!". I rode to the riverside and found a boy of about five in the river struggling. I jumped into the water, swam to the boy and dragged him to the river bank. the boy said he was trying to catch a fish near the river bank and carelessly fell into the water. I asked him where his home was and sent him home. "Thank you very much!" the boys parents said, when I left his home. Though I got home late that afternoon, I was very happy.

This week I mostly stayed at home and did some homework. Last Saturday HP6 had just come out. And many Harry Potter fans went to buy it. I did’t buy it because it was too expensive, but I downloaded it on the Internet. It was in English. Many people went on translating as soon as the book came out. I also took part in it and became a part of the translating group. From this group, I first realized that my English was so poor. I needed to look up in the dictionary all the time. 贫困山区的小朋友：你们好！

贫困山区的小朋友们，我是广东省廉江市第五小学五（1）班的学生，名叫温展鹏。今天，我在电视上看到了你们瘦弱的身影，无助的眼神，我心里很不是滋味。你们家境困难，常常吃不饱，穿不暖，可你们非常想上学，渴望学到知识。用茅草做的房顶，四面的墙壁是用泥土堆积而成的一间间破旧的房子——这就是你们的教室。我想如果外面下大雨，教室里肯定会下小雨；如果外面下大雪，教室里也会下小雪吧！一张张用泥土垒起来的课桌，和同学们从家里带来的大小不一的破板凳，没有电灯、没有书本、甚至没有粉笔但是，在这样的环境里，你们却表现得那么的积极，对知识抱有渴求的愿望。而我们却有高大漂亮的教学楼，有宽敞明亮的教室，整齐的桌椅，漂亮的课本，崭新的笔，多功能的笔盒。但是我却生在福中不知福，不懂得抓紧时间学习，我太贪玩了，以后我要以你们为榜样，珍惜时间，努力学习。
