秋天，一朵朵菊花开放了，它们红得像火，粉得像霞，黄得像金子，白得像雪。开得那么光彩夺目，叫人看了就生爱慕之心。看那丝丝菊，一根一根丝条似的的花瓣加上淡黄色的花蕊，构成一朵美丽的花。再瞧那龙爪菊，它的美更不用说。它的每个花瓣都往里藏，就像害羞的少女，太阳一出来，它才微微向外伸展。再看别的菊花，也开得那么绚烂多姿。这些菊花开满了枝头，他们你不让我，我不让你，就像在百花斗艳。

菊花具有耐寒的本性。秋天，别的菊花都凋谢了，只有菊花顶着风霜，傲然开放。它的这种精神不禁让我想起了陈毅爷爷写的《秋菊》这首诗：“秋菊能傲霜，风霜重重恶。本性能耐寒，风霜其奈何?”想到这儿，我仿佛陶醉在花的世界里，我看到了很多美丽的菊花，它们正朝我挥手，向我微笑。

菊花还具有持久的生命力，一般的花只开一天就凋谢，但菊花却要开十几天。并且在凋谢时，它还一个花瓣一个花瓣的凋谢。它仿佛就是一个勇敢的战士，英勇地向风霜挑战，直到生命最后一刻。

我爱菊花，爱它那迷人的花朵，耐寒的本性，我要向菊花学习，学习它那勇敢的精神。
