这不，今天我看见家门口的垃圾堆得像小山似的，这让我想到老师曾告诉我们家里的垃圾都要分类。于是我不顾臭味，耐心地将垃圾有序地分类，再丢入垃圾箱，这样环卫工人就好清理了，我要坚持不懈地做好奶奶和妈妈的小帮手。

地球作为我们人类赖以生存的星球，遭受了严重的污染与破坏，我们作为她的孩子是多么的自私，怎么能让这种情况继续发展下去呢？保护地球妈妈，要从我做起，从身边的小事做起，从而带动身边的每个人。

With the improvement of our living standard， more and more people can afford a car。 As a result， our roads are more often than not crammed with cars。 However， with more and more waste gas being discharged by the cars， the problem of air pollution bees even more serious。 So nowadays we advocate to lead a low-carbon life。

My suggestion is we should ride bikes more often instead of driving cars。By riding a bike， we can not only exercise our body but also protect our environment。 Why not have a try， my dear friends?

I am afraid that you will think me unpardonably negligent in not having

answered your letter dated 7, December sooner, but when I have told you the

reason, I trust you will be convinced that the neglect was excusable. When your

letter arrived, I was just in Hong Kong. As my family could not forward it to me

during my absence, it has been, therefore, lying on my desk until the moment

when I took it up. Now the first thing I have to hasten to do is to write to you

these few lines to express my deep regret.

我们周遭的环境已越来越差，天空不再蔚蓝，河水不再清澈，山上不再翠绿，全球在日渐变暖。保护环境已迫在眉睫了。否则，我们将失去太阳系唯一适宜人类居住的星球——地球母亲了！。

当你随手扔垃圾时，你是否想过它会污染地球？当你使用一次性木筷时，你是否想过它长成参天大树需要数百年的时光？当你购物不用环保袋而用难以降解的塑料袋时，你是否想过泛滥成灾的白色污染？

有这么一则新闻，有人在海边发现一只海燕，可它并非自然死亡或者受天敌袭击而死亡。当研究人员剖开它的肚子时，十分震惊地发现里面全是人们随手一扔的塑料制品！

所以，青春年少的我们，实实在在地可以做到以下事情：

1、少用一次性物品，多用环保材料。

2、少用塑料制品，多用可回收物品。

3、保护树木，不乱砍滥伐。

4、建议少开私家车，多骑自行车或者多乘公交车。

5、不乱丢旧电池等污染水源的物品。

6、节约用水，节约用电。

希望大家多做一些力所能尽的事情，帮助地球母亲恢复美丽的样子，做一个保护环境的小卫士。
