大文豪马克·吐温是一个幽默和宽容的人。有一天，他在一条幽静的小路上散步，对面走过来一个人，马克。吐温非常有礼貌地给他让路，而那个人却不屑一顾地翻翻白眼：“谢谢先生，不过，我不能同样给你让路，因为，我从来不给傻瓜让路。”马克。吐温笑了笑说：“可是，我只给傻瓜让路。”那人听后，羞得满脸通红。这是一则关于让路的小故事，让我看到了马克。吐温的机智，当别人羞辱他时，他不但没有生气，反而从容不迫地回答了那个人，还巧妙地还击了那个没有礼貌的人，让我非常敬佩他的过人之处。生活中，我也亲眼目睹过让路的事情。

我们小区的进出口不太合理，大门口有一个拐角，进出的车辆互相看不见，如果两辆车同时在拐角处相遇，就不能同时通过，如果互不相让，就会进退两难。有一次我和妈妈开车回家就遇到过这样的情况，我们刚开进小区大门，准备右拐的时候，就和一辆车不期而遇了。妈妈正准备倒车，没想到那辆车先往后倒了，倒进了一个停车位，并且拐了进去，这样我和妈妈就能顺利通过了，等我们过去后，那辆车也很顺利地拐出了小区。我们的心里充满了感激和温暖，我想，这位司机的素质真高，以后我遇到这样的事情，一定也要像这位司机学习，主动给别人让路。

现在人们的素质都很高，不但只给人让路，也会主动给动物让路，那件发生在温哥华的让路故事，大家还记得吗？在川流不息的马路上出现了一群可爱的小鸭子，当它们摇摇摆摆地过马路时，过往的司机都自觉停下车来，等小鸭子们都安全过了马路，车辆才开始正常行驶。这不是一件普通的让路，而是体现了人类的素养。
